Thanks everyone!
Sounded great guys! Great value and tones with that pedal range.
I live for the Rotary and Chorus sounds in this thing. Octave>MIAB overdriv>Mod Core Deluxe (set to Rotary) is my jam.
It makes me play "Space Truckin'"
'Nuff said.
Love you guys!! You make these pedal reviews so much more fun than most online reviewers, you use it in a way I would experimenting and messing about, and you actually explain everything unlike many other reviewers who just want to show how well they can played which I’m not arsed about!! So well done for explaining all modes and edit features and showing what you can get out of the pedal for people who may not no much about the technology side. Nice one guys always love your videos, keep ‘em coming! Strooth there cobba Sheila! Lol
Forgot to say this is a fantastic pedal as I bought one a few weeks ago
Hey mate great to hear! Yeah it’s a cool pedal hey. Both that and the delay pedals from NUX are pretty impressive 😊
The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! Yes sir, I have the Tape core, Komp core & Mod core deluxe pedals from the NUX range and I’m really impressed with the quality, 24bit DSP, plenty of combinations of effects, great easy editing and well made, for the money the cost you can’t go wrong really! Cheers have a splendid day!
This and the delay sound sweet for the cash. NU-X are killin it with good, cheap gear I reckon. Another great demo lads..!
Thank you!!
Great demo guys!
Thank you!!
You have made me want to get mine from the back of the cupboard. However from memory it's not true bypass and degrades the clean tone a bit too much for my liking. What do you think fellas? Nice video BTW!
Thanks Tj A ...that kinda stuff never bothers me...it sounded fine to me
I am new to pedals and I was shopping for a budget chorus pedal. I read good things about the NuX CH-3, but I have stumbled across this pedal, which comes with additional mod effects, which is really cool. How does the chorus on this pedal compare with the CH-3 (or other budget chorus pedals such as the Joyo Analog Chorus)?
Otherwise if there is another Chorus and Flanger in one unit that I should think about I am open to suggestions.
I was very impressed with the NUX stuff - this has one of my absolute favourite vibrato sounds in it...also if you want something quite versatile but still on a budget check out the Hotone Binary stuff...both are excellent!!
Don't buy nux, they are total garbage

I have this and the Atlantic and find both to be great!
Same, and i got their Monterey vibe, Morningstar drive, Duotime delay and up front is their Masamune dual compressor/boost, Steel Singer boost. Solid Studio handles the power amp sim and IR+mic sim.
With my cheap Mooer 002 "UK Gold" micro preamp pedal that's a seriously good and affordable "ampless" rig. Sounds even better without the preamp & Solid Studio into my amps.
The Atlantic and Mod Core Deluxe are two of my favorite pedals, period. They absolutely hold up against more expensive gear.
I love my Hotone Binary AMP! Using a Mooer amp sim at the moment but i must get out my Hotone again.
Is there a modulation pedal in the Binary series?
that sheraton looks amazing, is it a nitro made in usa?
It’s Korean made
@@TSFAHTPS it does look quite stunning
It is a cheap pedal, that sounds rather good considering the price. I bought a tape core deluxe and it sounded fantastic. In fact, it sounded so good i bought a second unit for another board. Even though it sounds fantastic for the price, i would say the build quality is not the best. No problem with the box itself, but the pots i am sure are cheap plastic rod ones, although i haven't checked. But then again, you get what you pay for.
The knobs aren t that bad. On my pedal the NU-X lives besides the T. Electrnic Hall of Fame and Flashback. Same knob layout, quality, feel and quality. Also aligning stereo I/O making it quite the compact threesome using fixed direct dual jack plugs. Making it a beautiful threesome. Knobs somewhat more friction less, so maybe loose preset value when packing and moving your board around.
A phaser or phase shifter produces a comb filter! The amount of stages results in the amount of “prongs” you have in the comb filter.
Thats what I meant...a formant filter is the the one that sounds like vowels!
Was this done with the pedal in the loop of the origin 20 or in front of the input?
The pedal was in front of the amp not in the fx loop
Entertaining and pretty comprehensive as per usual, but as you seem to be filming this in a recording studio I wondered why you didn’t demo this stereo pedal in, erm… stereo?
Sadly, this is a failing of so many so-called pedal 'reviewers'. I guess they only have a mono guitar lead, so their world is mono. Everyone else has two ears.
We now do a lot of videos in stereo but at that time we didn’t have a stereo setup that would work for videos...
Because most guitar players have a mono setup and stereo playout is a seldom possibility?
And befor complaing: Pan is an extra Tremolo.option ... in Mono verse ... 😅😅😅
Great!
Can the usb port be used as power supply too?
Thanks
I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think you can
@@TSFAHTPS Ok thanks!
What’s the difference to the non deluxe version of this pedal?
USB feature and I have had first and Deluxe version. I prefer first. I find it less digital. Rotary or Univibe sims are much better also.
Anybody know how close to the EHX poly chorus this pedal is? Would this be substitutable? Looking for the sound in the intro to the nirvana song “radio friendly unit shifter”? Any thoughts appreciated
maybe with the maxed settings like they got here for a second at 5:18? that'd have to be supported with a great deal of distortion of course. polychorus tho has its feedback inducing, self-oscillation-like qualities that are not available on nux, which is kinda "safer"
Does this pedal work on electro acoustic guitar?
It will mate yes
I have had first and Deluxe version. I prefer first. I find it less digital. Rotary or Univibe sims are much better also.
Anyone know what the difference is between the original mod core and the mod core deluxe? Thanks
Yes I do. Both are called Deluxe, but there is a Mark II.
The Mark I has pretty basic MOD names and your sort get what they are called: Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Tremolo, Pan, Rotary, Uvibe and Vibrate. With the selector switch there are two modes for each modulation type. They are rather different and you could fairly argue you get 16 modes altogether. The sounds from the Deluxe mode on the switch are more "adventurous". These are not subtle sounds and the knobs have wide parameter spreads, so finding the sweet spot takes quite some time. But it can be done. But the pedal is not that easy on you. "Everything on 12" will give you a sound but nog great. I guess the ones writing a bad reviews might not have taken the time.
The Mark II is an entirely different beast imo. Gone are the recognizable Modulation type names but you get names like Ce-1 (probably the BOSS CE-1), SCF-CH, SCF-FLG, SF.CH, SCF P.M. I think you need the manual to figure out what they are, or you need to listen and find what you look for. Also the selector switch works entirely different: it now has no preset middle function and serves as some pre or post selector switch. No idea what it does.
I spend quite some time finding the Mark I version and got it and love it. These are not studio high fidelity modulations but do their job perfect at home, during lessons, in a jam or in a band.
Even more so: I find a lot of mod pedals too subtle that their sound gets lost in the mix. This somewhat more raw lo fi sounding pedal pushes through in the mix. Suits my taste and playing very well.
mono ?
WHY DO YOU MOVE THE KNOBS SO FAST UGH
Sorry, but you didn't use it properly. This pedal must be used really low in rate and be carefully tweaking knobs..not so fast!
01:50 Yeah, woohooo, very cool, yeeeeh, can't hold the excitement mate!
Must tell everyone my opinion on a really trivial thing I see in a RUclips video...I must...I can’t just see something and not give an opinion...must...give...opinion
The guitar also Sound not really clean..flanger or phaser Sound miles better than here..
Nux pedals are garbage. I had 2 of them, a mod core, it sounded crap, muffled, lifeless and stopped working after a few hours of use. I also had a distortion. Also sounded shit compared to a boss ds1, very flimsily made and broke after a very short time
Fake alert the actual pedal did not sound anything close to this demo. It actually sounds so bad that it doesn't justify the cheap price tag. Even at bypass it muffled the sound of entire chain In actual all effects at nac level gives a sound like googoogooo.
awful intro lol
thanks
