- GUITARIST EXTRAORDINAIRE, Jimmy Sakurai, with vocalist, August Young, of the two bands: MR. JIMMY Led Zeppelin Revival & LEGEND ZEPPELIN and Chuck Wright of QUIET RIOT wonderfully perform the beautiful song, THE RAIN SONG by Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, after the evening premiere showing of the award-winning documentary, MR. JIMMY, by filmmaker Peter Michael Dowd, at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater/TLC Chinese Theater in Hollywood. California on Friday, September 15, 2023.
Recorded on an iPhone and no added digital effects were used to enhance the live sound of the performers on the video recording.

Well done by all! I am a big Zep fan and have been working on this song on the guitar for a while now. You realize how good Jimmy page is as far as playing and his creativity to write a beautiful song like this. Jimmy Sakurai what an excellent guitar player you are! I am sure Jimmy Page was impressed. I have come to realize how difficult Robert Plant's voice is to emulate. Plant sings with such emotion and his voice is just so unique. So great vocals here too. Bass here was great and really blends in well.
Yes Happy bday to the greatest guitarist ever and thanks to Jimmy S for being true to our hero. God bless you both.

MR. JIMMY is playing on a vintage Harmony Sovereign H1260 model steel 6-string acoustic guitar.

@@davidrhodes7655 Note the shape of the headstock, and how the top is crown shaped. ALL Martin's have a squared headstock. Definitely an old Harmony Sovereign, just like Page used in the original studio recording.
