Love the colors you have chose for your temperature blanket. I'm planning to crochet one this year also. But I don't want the traditional blah colors. I like your idea of using the varageted yarns. It's going to be a blanket for the women care unit for the homeless here in Rapid City, SD. Thank you for your prayer greatly appreciated. The I Love This Yarn is probably my favorite inexpensive acrylic yarn. So soft for the price. I just made my nephew a blanket with it. Have fun with the temperature blanket

I just recently got started on this way of choosing colors, it made sense. However, my daughter and I are each making one, but she wants to do different colors. She’s the one who found this project so I’m going to go along with her colors. And I’m from Kentucky too! And we are Christians too ❤!!! God works in mysterious ways. I did think about doing spring colors for spring and fall colors in the fall even though the Temps are about the same for those seasons so you can tell the seasons better. Thank you!! Tiffany posted her first video last night and she had to change the pattern to one row every two days instead of one row everyday so that the blanket wouldn't end up ginormous lol. So I decided to just do a moss stitch temp blanket because I want to do a row each day. I think using the variegated yarn will still keep me interested though! Thanks for watching!
I had wanted to make one with variegated yarn, and now I will… your colors are beautiful, our temperature rarely gets below 30, and many times way above 100, here in California… I would have to just make my year go from March 2023 to March 2024. Lol.
An idea that I have for if I want to do one is having "prints" and "solids" for colors. I like the idea of having mixes of solids and variagated. Because there are 10 color ranges, I would either bump it down to 8 or bump it up to 12 so that it's divisible by 4(4 seasons). Then I would pick one color to define the season and have variagated colors to be along with for other temps. example: Season: Summer Main color: Yellow Temperature range: 75-90+ If you use 3 colors in each range of season(12 ranges altogether), then use main color for one range and 2 other varigated yarns for the sub-ranges.

I love the idea and really like doing things a bit different. I’m also doing one this year along with Tiffany. I am doing mine based on daily temps so will be doing a different pattern, possibly small granny squares for each day. That way it won’t be such a huge blanket. I want to keep it afghan size if possible.

I think that using variegated yarn will be a lot of fun! The colorway may be more apparent during times when you use the same color for a few rows (stable temps). I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

My first temp blanket, it was a mess all around. I did the traditional color ways (rainbow) and I did granny striping. I did 2 rows per 1 day to make the granny stripe pop. I didn't finish it. I am working one for 2023 (also a KY girl here! Hey!) In the Skein Tones colorways from lion brand and doing it in Mosaic Crochet. Loving it so far!

I just found your channel because of Tiffany’s video from today. I decided to look up different temp blanket ideas to try and pick my path. I had 10 colors picked that are all heathered from a company online and they’re taking forever to get here (Understandable). I bought 12 yarn bee colors as back up and then went and bought another set. With all the colors, I can’t decide!! But, all that to say, my colors are light earth tones with a bit of heathered pastels (kind of?). 😂😂 I’m here for inspiration and am glad I found your channel :)

That’s a cool idea using variegated yarn. I’m here in central FL and our temps are usually hot or hotter temps, lol. Variegated yarns may be a good idea for me. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. FYI … I don’t know where I saw it, but one RUclipsr used a white row to split up each month in her blanket. Maybe you could do that with a black or another color that’s not in the yarns you’re using.

Hi Kristen you just showed up in my feed and I did a temperature blanket last year, the group I was with did the highs on Wednesdays only. I’m also in KY, but the colors that was used was so so. Yours I love!💗💗💗They are simply gorgeous! I think weekly would be good since you are doing daily. Since ours was highs for Wednesdays I did mine on Thursday so had the accurate high, and I used AccuWeather , some were using underground weather? I hint that’s right. I am going to start Sophie’s Universe, I know their are a lot of people starting

I LOVE your colors!! I've been watching videos to get inspiration and yours made up my mind for variegated colors. I did think about doing spring colors for spring and fall colors in the fall even though the Temps are about the same for those seasons so you can tell the seasons better. This is my first temperature blanket so I really wanted to track daily temps. However, I actually am planning on grabbing some chunky yarn as well and following your CAL for the chunky blanket! After watching the first video in the CAL last night I decided to just go with a simple moss stitch instead of the sampler because she changed the pattern to only doing one row every two days to avoid it turning out to long, but I think the moss stitch will be beautiful as well!

I had wanted to make one with variegated yarn, and now I will… your colors are beautiful, our temperature rarely gets below 30, and many times way above 100, here in California… I would have to just make my year go from March 2023 to March 2024. Lol.

An idea that I have for if I want to do one is having "prints" and "solids" for colors. I like the idea of having mixes of solids and variagated. Because there are 10 color ranges, I would either bump it down to 8 or bump it up to 12 so that it's divisible by 4(4 seasons). Then I would pick one color to define the season and have variagated colors to be along with for other temps.
example:
Season: Summer
Main color: Yellow
Temperature range: 75-90+
If you use 3 colors in each range of season(12 ranges altogether), then use main color for one range and 2 other varigated yarns for the sub-ranges.

I love the idea and really like doing things a bit different. I’m also doing one this year along with Tiffany. I am doing mine based on daily temps so will be doing a different pattern, possibly small granny squares for each day. That way it won’t be such a huge blanket. I want to keep it afghan size if possible.

I think that using variegated yarn will be a lot of fun! The colorway may be more apparent during times when you use the same color for a few rows (stable temps). I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

My first temp blanket, it was a mess all around. I did the traditional color ways (rainbow) and I did granny striping. I did 2 rows per 1 day to make the granny stripe pop. I didn't finish it. I am working one for 2023 (also a KY girl here! Hey!) In the Skein Tones colorways from lion brand and doing it in Mosaic Crochet. Loving it so far!

I just found your channel because of Tiffany’s video from today. I decided to look up different temp blanket ideas to try and pick my path. I had 10 colors picked that are all heathered from a company online and they’re taking forever to get here (Understandable). I bought 12 yarn bee colors as back up and then went and bought another set. With all the colors, I can’t decide!! But, all that to say, my colors are light earth tones with a bit of heathered pastels (kind of?). 😂😂 I’m here for inspiration and am glad I found your channel :)

That’s a cool idea using variegated yarn. I’m here in central FL and our temps are usually hot or hotter temps, lol. Variegated yarns may be a good idea for me. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. FYI … I don’t know where I saw it, but one RUclipsr used a white row to split up each month in her blanket. Maybe you could do that with a black or another color that’s not in the yarns you’re using.

Hi Kristen you just showed up in my feed and I did a temperature blanket last year, the group I was with did the highs on Wednesdays only. I’m also in KY, but the colors that was used was so so. Yours I love!💗💗💗They are simply gorgeous! I think weekly would be good since you are doing daily. Since ours was highs for Wednesdays I did mine on Thursday so had the accurate high, and I used AccuWeather , some were using underground weather? I hint that’s right. I am going to start Sophie’s Universe, I know their are a lot of people starting
