My first oil change on my 2022 Honda Msx 125 Grom. It's my first new vehicle of any kind and I will try my best to keep on top of the maintenance. I will film and upload any other work I do on this bike so if you own a Grom and want 'to the point' how to videos, this is where they'll be. I don't like skimming through tutorials to find the information I need so I tried to keep this short and sweet.

I still would of changed out the oil filter and cleaned the screen for the first time and replaced the plug to a magnetic oil plug.
I have everything but a cat so I'll have to get one to finish the oil change🐈

Mine looks low from the dealership, has me concerned. Might do a preemptive 100mi change for piece of mind. Otherwise I’m just not checking at the right time. Thanks for the vid!

if you checked when your bike was on the stand it would show that it’s pretty much empty. gotta straighten out the bike to see the true level
I dont have a funnel..... and my rst trousers still get wet even when it says its waterproof no crack now when that happens :(
What brand trousers you got now?
Well make sure you at least have some mouthwash around if you're using the straw method... I have Alpinestar but I'm going to buy a Dainese pants to zip into my jacket.

I see your using transmission oil, how comes? I’m struggling to find the right oil for my grom, don’t really want to use castrol this time
I didn't realise to be honest. I had that oil in the shed. I'm using 10W-40 next. Mechanic recommended it. He said it depends on the climate whether or not you need 10W-30
@@vrum497 hello friend, I have the same motorcycle, that oil that you have put is not suitable, it is for gearboxes with independent oil, and with respect to the 10w40 it is not suitable either, it is too thick and what can happen is that the oil does not run Well, I assume you've read the manual for the bike. @@pedrojoseismael I tried to buy 10W30 for my bike from the place where I bought it and they recommended 10W40 and I know a mechanic who has a Grom and he uses 10W40 in his with no issues.
I didn't realise that transmission oil had different properties but when I read the bottle the codes matched what the manual said. Bike has been running fine but it will be interesting to see the condition when I rip open the engine.
