  • Summit camp is one of few all year round manned arctic research station located in central Greenland. It is operated by United States National Science Foundation with the approval from Danish government.
    The Summit Station has been established in 1989 and has been initially part of GISP (Greenland Ice Sheet Project Two) researching ice sheets in Greenland.
    Here is a recording of a landing at Summit Camp with CS's C-130 in US National Science Foundation livery.

      Greenland if definately worth exploring. Challenging approaches, whiteout approaches in clear blue sky conditions, snow storm in middle of nowhere! IT's worth a try :)
