I've noticed that you can use 1 switch on the chocolate to turn on and off the same function e.g switch 1A can turn on and off the FX and so on for all the other switches. So you don't need to use up 2 switches for each function.
I have a Boss Katana Head (non-MKII) and the midi settings aren't as extensive as what is seen on the MKII (it's missing the Control Change menu) - I think that might be a crucial part of this. I tried mapping with the MWave Chocolate from another video I saw using Keyboard B on the Mwave and the Katana Head doesn't respond to the button presses at all. I can't figure out how to get the two to work together.

Just what I was looking for to use my Mvave Chocolate with my Boss Katana 50 MK2. Works perfectly after following your instructions. One question, do you plan to make it possible to use sysex messages? I use the Midi Commander app which can transmit sysex messages to the Katana which is great for changing specific fx e.g. changing from the Blues Driver to the Centa OD.

Hello, I know you are the author of the app but I don't want to use a phone but a laptop that is always connected to Katana 50 mk2. Is there a way to make this procedure with a laptop (with Boss Tone Studio) and chocolate?
I try setup BTS for use with many MIDI controllers, It doesnt works on my Mac. But with FX flowboard no problem. It works with FCB1010, Chocolate and midi keyboards
@@am_gm any luck creating the sysex video? This is the only thing stopping me from using Midi Chief fully. Hopefully the developer will spend time to make the sysex implementation as good as the Midi Commander app.

Hi, is there a detailed procedure for doing this? I've been searching forums for days but haven't found anything. I would like to be able to use this midi footswitch to move from one liveset to another (maybe pressing the 2 buttons on the right at the same time would advance between the banks and pressing the 2 on the left would do the opposite). For each liveset, 4 different sounds would be available, selectable from the 4 individual buttons on the M-VAVE Chocolate. The problem is that I would like to be able to have more banks available: I would like to be able to exploit the potential of FX FloorBoard to save more than 8 presets. I would like to save several livesets of 4 presets each and be able to move back and forth between these liveset banks (maybe to get the right palette of sounds for each song). I don't know if I have explained myself well. Thanks for any future clarifications.
