I love the full kit. It just has so much more presence once you add the sides/rear spats. Add in those 5mm spacers, and it's perfect
Put a small piece of flat metal behind the front GTR emblem as a support. May make it feel more solidly mounted.

Or just use rubber washers behind the screws

The side skirts and rear spats are definitely the way to go. For me personally I think the fitment and offset are perfect, not too aggressive also not too sunken in, a functional and reliable fitment if I must say myself
If you can remove the bottom lip of the front bumper, then you can go no side skirts, if not side skirts, because it looks too front heavy without
After you put the 5mm spacers on the side skirt side it just looks so freaking good. I know the sideskirtless look you want but dude it looks so mean. Skirts and spacers is a go imo.
Hey man! The spats needs to have an angle cut into it for the diffuser to slot into. When you buy them as a standalone item, they dont have it cut factory from Nismo as there are Non-vspec and vspec versions (non-vspec dont run diffusers). I had a cut a slit in mine and everything fit up perfectly. The Z tune and R tune for example have there's cut from factory.
As for my recommendation with the skirts, they take a beating! Especially if you love driving it as much as i do, be prepared for semi-slicks and track days to ruin those things. I see them as disposable items. Most other GTR owners dont drive them enough to notice. So running it the mines way would be more practical.

I’ll break from crowd and vote to remove the front S Tune lip, and run without the side skirts + spats. That will help balance the look.
I appreciate that you kept in your adjustments to set up the look. This makes me feel better with how often I’ve done little setup tweaks to set up the aesthetics.
Since the front bumper has the lip and sits lower, you need IMO the full extension kit on the car otherwise it looks like it's missing something aka looks naked
With the first set of side skirts IMO. This is a dream come true for me. It’s great to see it built by such an incredible group of guys. The Mines look is so iconic.

Personally the nismo kit gives me more gtr vibes but you're right... 19s are needed with a better offset..
Without the nismo kit it still looks good but more skyline than gtr skyline

When you initially put the skirts on the car on the lift, I thought I was going to lean that way until you moved the car onto the ground. I like it best without the skirts/spats. It looks good both ways though!
Seeing the transformation of this build weirdly brings back nostalgia vibes of old Gran Turismo games where you could get so many variations of skylines.. Love it guys keep it up!!!
Skirts with the 5mm spacers is the best look IMO.
A clean mean machine without sideskirts is the way to go, in my humble opinion.

I would run it clean without the sideskirts. Much better for the skyline look.
absolutely love the white wheels with the colorful suspension / brake setup. side skirts look cool, but it looks cool without aswell.. i do like it with the skirts just a bit more, but true, the rear rims look smaller with the side skirts somewhat..

I think you need the skirts for dropping the height of the rocker to match the front bumper but the skirts themselves don't really match the car. The stock ones extended down would look a lot better. In this case of yes and no, I'd run without.
Edit: Yeah looking at it for longer those skirts ruin the lines of the car. I think you should find something else.

Side skirts for sure. Great thing about modding cars is everyone has their own taste. Those wheels imo are holding the look back
Pete bought wheels before the car. He is dead set on keeping them.
I think the wheels are fine but those skirts must have on the car for sure wheels could do with a change but that’s in due time those wheels look fine on the car now but over time I am almost for sure they will swap them up it just won’t work forever but for now that’s the only reason I clicked on the video was those wheels great wheels

I think it looks amazing with the full kit on, but my big concern would be scraping such a lovely kit. It would be heartbreaking if it got damaged on the awful GTA roads. Otherwise its looking fantastic!
Driver side looks amazing!!! Only thing I’d change is lower it a little more, maybe a quarter of an inch.

Gotta run the skirts with the front bumper looks so much better that way … but I will say Mine’s doesn’t do the skirts and it looks awesome
Edit: after watching further into the video you mentioned Mine’s … hmmmm I think both look great but with skirts looks a bit more complete
For how big of a car the R33 and 34 are, I run 19” TE’s on my 33 gtr, I do agree the 18’s look too small

I love the look of the right side of the car! I do love the factory lines like the left has, but the right side just looks so good.
R34s definitely look better with the full aero package. I appreciate the look with just the front bumper but side skirts and rear spats definitely complete look. That Nismo front bumper is calling for some more aero. The OEM+ Nismo look is so iconic and what people think about when you say R34 Skyline, it’s legendary.
I used to think paint matching was easy. You just plop the paint code into a machine that tells you what to mix. Until you find out there can be 25+ tints of the same paint code. The only way to guarantee a perfect match is to spray the whole car from the same mix, the same gun, on the same day with the same environmental conditions lol.
And I'm truly torn. With those wheels and no spacers, I say no side skirts or rear skirts. With spacers or 19's the skirts work.
Yep. Even samples will look different than whatever body part that’s getting painted.
This is why body shops use spectrometers that gives a more precise match within a color code. Sometimes it's still off a bit because of sun damage and whatever, in these cases you would often spray out the adjacent panels to blend it in.
@@marksinnl and I can spot the blend line every single time. It never matches unless you spray the whole car.

I love the Mines r34 so it pushes my bias to no side skirt/rear spats, but definitely can't go wrong with either choice

Looks good with and without but rests look to add on and dated. Takes away from the diffuser. Great content as always

Honestly nismo lmgt4s or advan GTs in a dark gunmetal or metallic black is the move for me on this car. Not enough contrast otherwise
@@PeterPangea I think I disagree on black. Im starting to not like black wheels except on blue or black cars. Getting tired of gunmetal as well, I still think a steel grey (in-between silver and gunmetal) would be best on this car. I want to see a comeback for silver and off-silver wheels. Im buying brand new gunmetal wheels and getting them stripped and resprayed in silver , and getting my OG TE37s done in silver as well. Looks perfect for an OEM plus look

I seen that drivers side and I thought "Damn that is clean", but then you panned to the passenger side and I was like "Nope, that's it right there". Then you put the spacers on. Love it
Id keep the skirts on it for sure, also i'd change the wheels to something darker, in my opinion the 6 spoke enkei's in like a gunmetal/silver looks so good on skylines.
I think the design of cars gets ruined by tacking on lips and skirts and fenders to everything - I like the skirtless side and i even might take off the lip to even it out. Bonus is that you'd actually be able to street drive it without scraping everywhere. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should when it comes to mods.
I think if it came down to it I think removing the lip to make it more even would be better than adding those particular side skirts.

The regas need spacers either way you go. I would start with no side skirts or rear spats and just spacers to begin ("less is more") until you get bored with it. Then, you can throw the skirts and rear spats on for a little extra flair. Itll feel like a facelift for the car at that point and you get maximum enjoyment out of the car at each stage
No sideskirts and no rear lip imo. Makes the car look soooo much more aggressive with much nicer body lines.

Hard no on the front bumper lower trim. Sits way too low, you're going to be scraping it all the time. Without that, you don't have to run the side skirts and keep the cleaner OEM+ look.
Thats how Vspecs are from factory. They look weird and lose downforce without the front splitter. It also guides air to cool down the rotors. 100% necessary item.
No skirts give it a nice trimmed muscular look! With the skirts on the proportions are unbalanced and busy looking! Honestly the rear wing could go as well! Never been a fan of R33 or R34 wings except for the 400R which flows with the whole package!

What a BEAUTIFUL car, no one can deny that for sure! In my opinion, I would run the side skirts , it makes it look complete and a bit more sporty/aggressive! Love the car, can't wait for future driving videos!
From this random stranger on the internet... i vote run the side skirts,spats might be optional, and im not usually for running spacers, but i think i dig the 5mm spacers especially once you get the height dialed in! Looking fine my man!!!! Support and love!
Leave it clean. More unique, and it works so well with the track setup look you're going for. The people who say it needs the skirts have been watching too many tiktoks lol..

Then he should be removing the front lip because it looks like saggy balls without the skirts.
Track setup gives more excuse for even more aggressive setups IMO .

Those rear pods usually have a small notch out for the diffuser too.
I think it looks best without the entire "ground effects" package: no air dam/lip, no sideskirts, no spats.
5mm spacer is nothing, up to 20mm theres practically no difference in geometry. As far as the sideskirts go, given that you gotta drill stuff and you're not sold on it, I'd skip them. I completely agree on the mine's/90's look, it looks more purpose-driven with just the bumper 👌

I agree I think if you are going to go clean no kit you should also remove the lower lip defuser. But both look great. Full skirts and spats make the car look heavier but complete. Keeping the overall purpose of the car in mind could help. Practical track car? No kit. Car meet and show every once in a while. Full kit.

Side skirts and spacers look perfect. However the color and wheels make car some what bland. Maybe adding the Nismo side stripe might help adding some flair or adding some exterior carbon bits ….

I had those wheels (in white especially) on every one of my cars in Gran Tourismo 2 back in the day…so perfect for this era of car. I definitely think no side skirts or spats. Looks period correct in my opinion!!

Gotta say you went through all that work to get the side skirts on one side and it looks stellar you should do the side skirts. I agree with you that the fitment looks a little funky without spacers but those wheels are so clean on the setup and I appreciate your story with them, I wouldn’t tell you to change them so I guess I’ll just say run the spacers lol

Definitely with the side skirts on!!! For a plus, I would suggest to put the taller wing "legs" for the stock wing, such as Mine's did.
