those wheels are SO good for that car
when the borders open up you guys definitely need to do something together, i need the American and Canadian OEM+ dads to do a collab
“Silver sucks” - 🔰 Space Tommy 🤣
I like the OEM R33 wheels on the R32.
34 GTR + Regas content - I knew I’d see a comment from the GTR dad!
The import god has spoken.
Anyone else stumbled upon a video of theirs once and has watched every single one since?
Hahaha yessir! Found a video about 2 years ago and I’ve been watching ever since!
Thanks, BadasS2000.
That is some self control waiting so long to drive that man! Solid effort and stoked to see you both enjoy it 🤘- Taz.
Chur bro!
Burnt bronze with a satin finish for the wheels
Bronze or copper is my vote for sure.
Exactly what I was thinking
read my mind
Make the wheels a dark bronze
I'm not a dark bronze wheel guy. But this car deserves dark bronze.
+1
@@ScylockeX exactly neither am I!! It just seems right in my eyes
This was the first thing that popped into my mind. Dark bronze on silver always looks good. And while I think a glossy finish would look fine, I think more of a matte finish to the wheels would really set them off.
Definitely, something like cerakote midnight bronze would be rad
send this thing down to us and let us do what we do!!!
Hell yeahhhhh !
If only you boys were closer I’d be swinging by the shop for a bunch of stuff.
came here to comment just this lol
Needs to head to the dryce man
Needs that dry ice treatment for sure
You aren't in a true 90's era JDM car unless your car talks to you in Japanese! That was my favourite part of the whole car so far.
15:00 it is a carbon fiber and a new one costs around 7000USD. I refreshed mine by replacing fins and stays, also fresh coating.
9:20 It’s called a multi-function display (MFD)
9:25 that would be an ETC card reader. Electronic ticket control for getting on to freeways in Japan. I took mine out because it’s annoying.
Are they easy to take out?
I have the same in my car
@@MrClarck100 cut a wire left of the pedals and pull from the top is the easy way. If you want to get the whole wire out then it should be grounded off of the headunit
Where do you buy the cars? And love your vids man keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥂
@@yomorivas1034 If it's JDM you have to import it, unless you do an MCM, buy the car there and then have it shipped. Who they worked with is in the description.
put a clear ppf on the side steps so they staymint.
Yeah I was thinking that aswell, I would have left the sticker on if it was clear
Radiator cap is practically OEM. Pitwork makes Nissan Genuine service parts such as belts, filters and radiator caps.
Haha, that little message when you turn on the car just says “the card is not inserted” it’s for the ETC (electronic toll collection) system used in japan. It’s kinda like the ETR transponders that we have here for the 407 except it’s an actual card that you insert in a electric slot for when you go through the toll booths
Wait just to clarify are you a white guy in Japan? Transplant or?
@@Fee.1 no, I was born in Japan but I moved to Canada when I was little but I still go back very often
@@kenjiabeta266 oh, I saw a video on your channel of a white guy playing guitar and assumed it was you 😂. Want to start a Import/Export business with me ? 👀
What's a toll and why do people have to pay it? 🤦🥴
@@ytsux9259 XD
The sound is ETC system used for toll roads (highway) in Japan. It said the ETC card is not inserted.
No black on the wheels! You lose depth and can’t see them, gunmetal is the way to go
BRONZE! everyone forgets bronze is a tasty option.
Check under that undercoating, could be rusted out or collecting moisture underneath.
If you do period correct, high quality mods I don’t think the value will decrease. Also polished or gunmetal on the wheels would look so good
Polished!
Yup, I agree, maybe simple bolt-ons just to bring a little life to it, from what I see and think if the mods are easly reversible the value is barely affected, specially if period correct.
anything changed on a stock will will depreciate it
Any mods will devalue it. Its their car so as long as they enjoy it.
just save all the parts, and drill no holes.
The Japanese voice on start up is for their toll card readers
Its reminding the driver that there is no card in the reader. I dont speak Japanese but heaps of import cars in NZ have these
@@yesnomaybe3372 Is have a Japanese import BMW and it says the same thing every time I start.
@@yesnomaybe3372 correct. And it starts to yell at you even more if you approach a toll and the ETC card isn’t in.
@@chrisridebike8 CARDO KUDESAIIIIII
To quote the great Indiana Jones...
"It belongs in a museum"
Very clean, very stock right down to the tape protecting the door sils!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I don’t care how high the value will ever be. I will get an R34 someday.
Guys I am SO HYPED for this series! Two absolute legendary cars. I'm so excited for more content.
Definitely a dark bronze
So stoked for you guys, this R34 will be amazing and I hope it brings a lot of new viewers to the channel! You can count on me to watch and like every video that's for sure
One of the best videos I've seen. Refreshing to hear the honest joy in Pete's voice when he was going over every bit of the car. Seems like many YT'ers just fake their excitement for views.
Glad you could get one of these.
Bummed you pulled off the side sill protective covers.
This is how I felt driving my 03 Cobra for the first time. Love it!
I can totally relate to how Pete is feeling right now. I picked up my dream car MR2 super clean stock as ever.
I’ve been waiting for these builds since you guys announced them months ago. Can’t wait for the amazing content that is coming to the channel. Glad to see a GTR with something other than TE37’s. They are great wheels but it’s nice to see something different. Hope you enjoy your practically new GTR👍.
Nice, simple, period mods. Keep all the old bits just like you said. I would possibly go as far as getting different seats and steering wheel so you don't wear out the original ones.
Looks so nice and original.
Matte bronze for the wheels! That build is going to be absolutely amazing. GL.
PT's "purist" element is really going to get in the way of his "car guy" brain on this one... lol
The genuine excitement with the car throughout the episode was awesome to watch. What a great experience. Enjoy the car!
Hats of to you two gentlemen for acknowledging and thanking your viewers and sponsors. As much as I want to see what mods you do to the GTR…given the cars condition and originality man I’m not sure I could bring myself to mod that one. I dig the rims that you stashed…I’d be inclined to do them a complementary gunmetal grey…I think that would maintain the 2000’s vibe and pop against the Silver.
Wow, I didn't realize how mint it actually is! I do feel how hard it would be to modify something that mint and original. I guess as long as you keep all the stock stuff and do reversible mods, but hey she's yours now!
Just wanted to correct you, those are not Regamaster Evo's they are Regamaster Marqius Promodas as Evo's have a flat center cap and MP's have the raised center.
Sitting on the car to bring us the experience is what I call true dedication. I wish I could like the video more than once.
So happy for you PT! You're adding another gem to your crown jewel of a car collection! This one might dethrone the 2J swapped M3 as my all time favorite!
I guess sometimes it is ok to meet your heroes
For the wheels bronze or a hyper black type of finish would probably work with silver.
Congratulations guys, cant wait for the content. Definitely keep all the stock parts. A nice Z tune mock up would be really great for this platform, something JDM +++
I hope when I’m in my thirties, I can still nerd out over a car like you guys are. This is how I felt when I got my first evo.
Honestly, I like the stock wheels haha.
Those rega's look like Marquis Promada's not Evo's. Raised center cap area is how you tell
Thank goodness he removed the blue tape from the door sills! It was bothering my OCD
Congrats on the purchase! So fun to see your joy driving it around. Cheers!
I think a dark bronze on the rims would look mint
Let’s see some baseline track times!!! TMP is hungry
It’s Christmas 🎄 morning for PT. Iv never seen him so happy! Congrats! U deserve it!
I think Pete has bought or owns just about every 'dream' car I have. s14, 911, evo 6, r34. What a garage!
9:20 That's the Electronic Toll Collection thing
Look for a card reader with ETC written on it
Just unplug that so it doesn't talk every time you start the car 🤣
(Or don't if you don't want to cuz I know some people who just like to leave it xD)
I unplug it on all our vehicles as they are imported from Japan and we can't use it here
dont unplug it its cool that it talks when you start it
If i own one i would not delete the reader cause it somewhat give the car a real, genuine JDM charm to it 😂
@@silentpowerYT
xDD I mean it probably just different to me cuz all vehicles in my country are imported
so I was just like
eh screw that shit xDD
also i mean its just 1 or 2 plugs under the dashboard
its not hard to unplug/plug it back in
@@dawsonramdass1145 Yeah I am the same. I am glad that mine does not talk to me as the ETC reader is part of the rear vision mirror. I would like to get it swapped out because it is huge and blocks my vision to the left, but im sure it would be a hassle and probably need to be coded in.
@@AlexNZL rip
That kinda funny to me for some reason ngl 🤣🤣
But what car is that in
Royal blue. Something similar to the Royal blue TE37 look amazing on a silver car!
So happy for you man, i can really see how happy you are to be driving your dream car. Really makes me miss my 93 r32 gtr 😞
Super excited to see you two build your dream cars, can think of any other youtubers I would like to see build these. Regas are gonna look perfect in any color.
Well I have got to say, I love talking to you guys when you come into the shop. But the more I watch this video, I can't help but say. I hate you Pete. Can't wait for more videos. Keep up the good work.
Having been a Skyline owner for the last 14 years and seen loads in the owners club, I'm going to bet you are in for an interesting time under that slapped on underseal......I hope for your sake I'm wrong
You can definitely tell under the bonnet that it was modified then switched back to stock. just odd things like dinged Rocker cover and hose clamps in different positions
I came into the comments to look for this comment. I’ve seen how crafty they get to hide rust. I’d like to see in those spots under the carpet. The door sills in factory wrap make me think this cars has definitely had a gone through before it hit the auction.
@@859romulus22 well it went for a lower price than most cars so someone was on it already or seen it
I really hope it isn't for their sake, but being around them for the last 14 years there are so many alarm bells going off here. Given the price they are now, I still think they did okay, but I would allow another $10-20k or getting this fixed. Again, I hope I'm wrong. I don't want to come across as jealous over what they have, my current Skyline is an R34GTT, so not the same league, but they are coming off as woefully ill informed at the moment and I think there is a can of worms there. Can always be fixed.
My other massive concern, if I heard it right, was they said they are using 94 octane fuel. These engines are made for 99 octane. I remember years ago on the skyline club forums an American guy who was over in Germany (dont think it was here in UK). He blew up 3 engines and was having a rant about how 'crap RB's are'. Turned out he was using some super low octane American crap fuel off the air base he was on. Rather expensive mistake.
I would hope they would consult a specialist before getting too stuck into it
I'm very happy for you, Pete. Congratulations!
Congrats!
I must say I love my GTR as well, welcome to the GTR family.
20:20 - that RB26 sounds damn fine for it's age
Take the same colour that is on the stock wheels.
Every time a video for these cars pop up I worry about how much of the punch you're gonna pull because of the R34 being such a mint specimen. I'm cautiously optimistic about the future of that beauty!
Great Series , we love our GTR's , one one the easiest upgrades is the R35 Door Stop swap easy and useful, much love from @MRMRSGTR
BRONZE RIMS!!! (see you at TMP this year)
Congratulations, that is one beautiful Maxima.
Really happy for you both for getting your dream cars!
This series is gonna be SO MUCH FUN!
Bronze wheel in a silver car will look awesome
Here is how I see it, did you buy an investment, or did you buy it to make a badass car?
You can tell when Pete really likes something, he gets super animated and excited lol. R34 is definitely something to be excited for.
Super excited for this new series!
This r34 is so stock, that seems a little wrong modifying it. But if you do subtle and tasty modifications, this thing could be a winner. It would be nice if you guys make changes that could be easily reversible.
I'm sad to say this but I'd keep it stock :(
It is prolly only me. But i always have that dilemma feeling when it comes to these bone-stock but not so pristine skylines.. if someone modified it, i felt somewhat sad because it means 1 less factory stock skyline down on road and the modification might devalued it.
But on the other hand it also would be a waste if you own one and not modify it cause it is not that pristine anyway, plus it's tempting considering the abundance selection of aftermarket parts which definitely can make it better and like they were saying, GT-R's performance aren't that great if it were left stock 😂
It trips me out that my 2007 Nissan Fuga 350GT (Infiniti M35) has the same power and torque specs along with a VERY similar center console. I'd never really looked at the interior of an R34 (see a ton of exteriors over here but I never look in) so this was a great bit of video for me. Thank you very much for sharing this!
Cant believe how good that condition that is, there's so many cool features on there that I never knew about also it's nice the steering wheel is on the right side ;-)
Black wheels with HKS paint splatter, just a light touch.
Go with Bronze on the wheels!
pumped for both of these legends boys!!!
Finally! This car is amazing, legitimately the cleanest R34 I've seen, congrats. Can't wait to see what's next! And Rega's, another legend...
Bronze wheels!
The drive reactions for me was the best, you can see the joy!
Man this thing is mint😍 Congratulations!!
I am new to your channel and actually I was searching for an aluminum trailer and your channel popped up but I lived in Japan for several years during the height of the R32 and I truly love the skyline.. I would love to see you defy the "RUclips" and just keep it stock But I know that doesn't create content. I will be watching the series and look forward to best car ever produced.
Fantastic stuff guys. I would go with the white Regamasters on silver, the contrast would be fantastic and very JDM.
And other thing, the Attesa E-TS is the AWD system , the rear wheel steering system is called the HICAS, the Super HICAS in this car if I'm not mistaken.
Guys, the hype is out of this world with this two cars. What a fantastic series this is going to be, I'm so pumped!
I’ve been letting these stack up, the jdm legends series, and now I’m binge watching, so here’s a comment for the algorithm!
So jealous! Beautiful R34 it's in amazing shape!
That car just looks like a mint example, can't wait for the well thought out mods
Now this makes sense-you bought it a year and a half ago! The last video didn’t mention that and we were all wondering where in the world you found one for this price given they are all over $100k usd now! Looking forward to the build!
Congratulations Pete!!
It is beyond clean good job pete
Loved the test drive part of the video👌
Incredible purchase. Congrats!
This guys so happy, nice to see someone getting their dream car
I'm glad you got to meet your hero because it'll be some time before I can afford one of these. I've wanted one since I was a little kid and I'm glad that, though the premium on them is on the rise, they're becoming attainable for us in North America.
This is awesome guys! An option I like for painting wheels is using a colour from Nissan, like the gun metalic colour code is KAD or if you like black with a subtle gold flake use G41 or Super Black KH3. Just an idea
Pete, I have THE color for your GTR wheels! It's from Prismatic and it's called "Monaco Copper." I searched endlessly with my local powder coating shop to find this color; I was in a similar situation with a "Nightfall Grey Metallic" SS that usually gets black wheels amongst the community of owners. When I decided on a gold-ish/bronze color I faced a dilemma that I could see you facing as well. I wanted some contrast, but without being too bright like a "Spanish Gold," or too dark like a traditional bronze. "Monaco Copper" was the exact perfect balance IMO. Best of luck with this build, we're all rooting for you guys to bring our 90's dreams alive!
i can feel you are very excited that your dream car come true, and almost mint as stock condition. congrats.
What a car.. 😍 Been a dream for me too, since the oe Gran Turismo.
So stoked to hear you are keeping it close to stock.
But guys. Please, PLEASE give it a extremely thorough service, as I am sure you will. Old coolent, gas and oil trying to do its job made me hold my breath on the test drive.
And the wheels? 🤔 Gunmetal, or a flat gray would be awesome!
It’s like you got into a time machine - can’t believe how mint this thing is. You’re so lucky.
im so jelly, but glad I can watch along.
congratulations!!!
Glad you found that car. You guys kick ass and deserve these beauty’s
Hey I met you 5 years ago when you came by UMS Tuning, awesome car man !
Wow....all stock and awesome condition!! Very precious!!
