We made the Magical carrots this morning, following your recipe with one pound of baby carrots and added two medium sized diced russet potatoes. They were absolutely delicious and very colorful. We wanted to send you a picture, but I can’t find a way to do so. We don’t use social media. Thank you so much for all of your recipes. We have tried many and all have been keepers. Neil
On our Easter dinner menu. Appreciate you giving the TOTAL time required to cook. Thank you.
There are a lot of times my grocery store has the bags of baby carrots on sale for 2 or 3 for a few dollars. That’s when I buy a few extra bags and make your onion dip!😋😋Carrots are one of my favorite veggies!
Let me know what you think of this recipe if you try it!
I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow; you KNOW baby carrots are on my list, now! May have to get a couple of bags; one for me and one for Paco (my 2.5 yo Chihuahua). Look fantastic and I love carrots, as you do.
Y'all Be Safe!
That was so simple. I love it! 2hrs after watching I'd made a trip to the grocery store to pick up the carrots and some dill weed. I rarely cook carrots but this I will do often now. Thank you
I love carrots allot! 😋
I love them more now!
@@TheSaltedPepper 😋👍

I'm so glad to hear that!
I'll be trying these - looks delicious!
My Mom would cook carrots and add butter and a dash of nutmeg. Fabulous!
Yummy I love cooked carrots!!!
I did it once in my food loved it. Going to try your recipe, thank you!
I hope you enjoy it!
@@TheSaltedPepper I am hooked. I want to do this at least 3x per week.
@@beoz658 That makes me so happy! 😍
Your magic carrots are in my menu now. Thanks!!
My wife and I are going to try this today (Palm Sunday,) trial-run before Easter 🐣 .. Thanks for the delicious video ✨️ Y'all enjoy 😉.
Please keep me posted on what you think of them!
I've never seen the kitchen utensil that you used to scoop them out and I don't want to tell you what I thought it was. 😂
These look delicious. I like my carrots more on the crunchy side. I'm curious on how these would be if the "sauce" was creamy. Looking forward in making these.
I never know what to do with those carrots …same old same old 😂. Thank you for sharing your passion of food. Always good ideas.
love it ) and love your presentation even more -
Thank you so much!
You probably already know this but my absolute favourite way of cooking potatoes, is to cook in stock on steam airfry, absolutely delicious.
they look really good
Thank you! I love this.
One of my favorites
I will try these tomorrow
I believe it!
My spouse loves the sweet carrots at cracker barrel. How do I incorporate the sweet? Honey? Sugar?
I'm not sure the sweet would pair well with these seasonings. I would use brown sugar.
@@TheSaltedPepper i did. But to "save" the foodie, i melted it in a separate pot. He loved them
I can do this!!!
You weren't exaggerating. These are INCREDIBLE! I'll never eat boiled carrots again.
I’m so glad you liked them!
Although I don’t like the taste of baby carrots, I thought I would give these a try. After cooking them I decided that I don’t like the baby carrot taste but the broth is awesome so I fried them for a little bit and they were very delicious. Next time I will definitely do this with bigger carrots
I like the sound of frying them up!
Can you do a cooking sour dough in the IL series. Steam is supposed to be really good for sour dough so that machine seems ideal.
Just got 5lbs organic carrots. Where did you get the scooper? I went to your amazon store but couldn't find it. Thank you. I appreciate your great recipes.
I got a scooper like Louise uses from Pampered Chef but I have also seen them in Home Goods.
I hope you enjoy the recipe! Here is the link to the scooper I used: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/thesaltedpepper/shop/Kitchen+Tools/Utensils/Scoop+%27N+Drain/1622
How does the new ninja compare to the last one you had?
It works pretty much the same. I like the ease of the one lid, but I like the stackability of the two lids.
My oldest son loved carrots and yellow squash and sweet potatoes baby food. Well I (first time mommy) thought well they are vegetables and vegetables are good for him so I fed him one or the other all the time. At least twice a week ( I also gave him green vegetables too🤣🤣). I didn’t think anything about it until he went for his checkup. The doctor was checking him out and nonchalantly asked if I fed him a lot of yellow vegetables. I said yes and the doctor said you need to cut back on them, he’s turning yellow. It’s too much keratin. I felt terrible.
Could I use oil instead of butter?
Louise I like my carrots very tender not mushy but very tender. So we’re these carrots very tender or had a little firmness?
I would say very tender. Try this timing and if they aren’t tender enough, turn on sear /sauté and simmer them another few minutes.
I used frozen baby carrots and it was to soft after two minutes. I suppose, for frozen carrots it was too long. Do I made a carrots soup from it.
I think it's because they were frozen. I'm not a huge fan of frozen carrots because they hold a lot of water and it's hard to get the right texture when cooking them.
