I think you missed the part where the shoplifter didn't have a firearm. Either the reporter is confusing, or, more likely, the police statement is confusing, but please listen closely to the exact words: "The officers were told the suspect had a gun", and then at the bus stop where they shot him: "they THOUGHT he pointed what they THOUGHT was a gun". And trust me, the headlines would be screaming how the man absolutely had some type of weapon if he'd had ANYTHING even remotely like a weapon. Sounds to me like the Glendale officers shot an unarmed man. Maybe there were acorns nearby....?
@@GoToPhx I just read the hardware shop owner told police the suspect was "brandishing a weapon" and then the policeman thought he saw a weapon being pointed at him. Of course, the policeman shot him. Acorns? Uh huh...🙄
