I cant imagine the pain. Im so sorry for the loss, but parents need to take safety measures when they have toddlers and a pool in the house. They need to put barriers around the pool and they need to be attentive with their children around the pool. This could have been prevented.
It's not even that hard. They just needed to put a fence around the back patio to keep the kids from getting out the back door and getting to the pool. That's what I did.
This happens far too often 😭 if you have babies, grand babies, company with babies, you NEED a fence around your pool. Foster care won't let you pass or even have a pool unless you have a fence around the pool and a ladder in the pool, the same standard should be set for parents.
I was a pediatric RN for decades, we had so many near drownings we cared for, laying still on a ventilator for life. So much easier to prevent than to fix the problem
I had 3 toddlers at the same time, I put a 4 foot fence around my back patio so they couldn't just walk out the back patio door and have access to our pool. This is very sad for everyone involved. RIP babies.
