I saw this gig live and this "Solo above the stage" is still amazing. I really think that Joel was a little bit drunk at this time (or a little bit more than usual^^). The whole concert was one of my personal highlights of the 20th Anniversary Wacken Open Air.
Airbourne opened for Motorhead in Stockholm last winter. They really do sound a lot like AC/DC, almost more than AC/DC themselves. I don't think I've ever seen a band with more energy. Wouldn't mind seeing them again if I get the opportunity.
@cooksontrains completely in agreement, it used to be that every band consisted of extremely talented musicians and looking good sometimes happened to be a bonus. Now its all about looking good and sometimes talent is a bonus. Long live AC/DC and long live Airbourne.
@Zosozeppelinn the tape holds the wire on to his back so it does not get tangled up. The wire goes from the guitar to the wirless deal in his pants pocket
HAHAHA!!! Joel did the same thing here in NZ at Big Day Out this year. Only he climbed up too high and the wireless transmitter lost it's range so he had to come down a little bit and play his killer solo there. AIRBOURNE!!! Fuckin rock GODS!!!

At the W:O:A 2009 they will kick ass again. I'm glad to have a ticket. Saw them last year in Wacken and can't wait for the show this year.

Went to see 'em in Sydney last night. Awesome & loud. Probably a bit too loud as the singer couldn't be heard clearly in some songs.
