Just throwing it out there, it is insane to me to have TV this expensive and the manuals do not mention this process ANYWHERE. No, it is not especially difficult to figure this out, but for the money you spend, you should not be sitting around watching YT videos on how to do this. It is astonishing to me that these relatively high end products get all their R&D and marketing but nobody stops to check for the most basic and fundamental things like making sure everything is covered in the manual. Fucking nuts dude
Fortunately, the instructions that came with my LG C3 did have the directions for installation. But I really appreciate those who put this stuff up on RUclips.
Carl - this is what i thought the internet would be used for thirty plus years ago. Sadly, it has become something else. However, short, informative instructional videos like this, give me back the faith that there are people out there that want to help - which you certainly did in this instance! Good job my friend.
Many thanks. I am not an idiot, and I have assembled many tv stands over the years, but the silly pictures that come with the TV instruction manual would never have gotten me home!
You really don't, the tiny diagrams on the screw packets areimisleading, and are otherwise unmarked. It was only when I got over two and a half minutes into the video and saw that he used the blue tipped ones to attach the stand to the tv that I knew I got it wrong the first time😢
I wish my 42" had a center stand. The dual stand on either side does not fit my TV stand and thus I either need to do a wall mount or find some kind of aftermarket stand that screws into the side ones but is a center stand. Do you know if there are any aftermarket stand options other than wall mounts?
@@AlexanderVasilescu - Hey! I actually returned it as I found a 48" for the same price (actually $5 cheaper!). So that solved my issue and I got a bigger TV. But before that I was looking at getting one of those "Universal TV Stands" from Amazon or something. If you still have this issue and are stuck with the TV I would look into that.
This also worked for the 48" model. I'm very good with this stuff, but the included instructions weren't completely clear. VERY happy to find exactly what I was looking for here, thanks so much!
Thanks for this! Just bought an Open Box from BB and it didn't come with which screws are which? And how to install. I was afraid to force in the incorrect screws but the blue ones(With the lock tight)go to the main pedestal. And the bigger black ones go to the bottom. 👍👍👍 Appreciate it! (Mine is a 48")
@aamikes2000 You wouldn't use the pedestal to attach the soundbar directly to the TV. If you're hanging the TV on the wall and you want to mount the soundbar to it you can use something like this: www.abt.com/Sanus-Black-Soundbar-Speaker-Mounts-Pair-SA405B1/p/76644.html If you're having any trouble finding exactly what you need you can also give our experts a call at 800-860-3736. We're always happy to help.
@Vaderd2k926 There are models available that can definitely fit in front without blocking any of the picture. Here's an example of a great option from LG that is only 2.5" tall: www.abt.com/LG-Soundbar-3.1.1-Channel-with-Dolby-Atmos-and-Subwoofer-S70TY/p/207280.html
My 77" model from Costco, OLED77C3AUA, had a metal plate on the bottom of the stand that I had to remove to install the two screws at 2:02 in the video. It seems that this plate is one of two parts that go with the rotational base version of the TV. My TV doesn't have that feature so I discarded the metal plate after removing it. (Can't say why it came with this TV in the first place).
Thank you so much for putting this video online. The manual doesn't really help much and seems as though it is written purposefully to make me destroy the TV. Highly appreciated!
I've no idea how you're getting the 2 screws in to the holes in the underside of the base to secure the stand in the slot. The holes either don't match up, or the screws only go in halfway if the holes do visibly match. I'm on my second base for my C3. Fed up.
@jivebunny3765 You have to make sure you push the piece all the way down into the slot. It sticks when it hits the tension arms within the opening, but if you push down a little harder that plastic piece will sit all the way flush with the screw holes on the bottom. If you've been doing that and it's still not lining up, it's hard to say what else might be causing that other than a manufacturing defect, but it's extremely uncommon for that to be the case with two stands in a row. If it was purchased from Abt please give us a call at 800-860-3736 to speak with one of our TV technicians for help. We offer free lifetime technical support on any products purchased from our store.
@@abtelectronics Am in the UK. First base, the stand didn't sit flush in the base slot so the TV's wonky and the screw holes didn't line up. Second base, stand sits flush, but the screws still won't go in past half way. My C3 hasn't had the screws in the first base for 6 months, and has been fine. I've got a level stand in the 2nd base which is all I really need, but it shouldn't be like this.
I received my LG C4 OLED with only 4 screws and not 8, as seen in video. I noted the screws were M5x20; M5x16. Is it okay to get these from home depot ? If someone can share right link for these, i would be thankful
Is there a chance that the 55 C3 stand fits on my G3 evo 55?? Ive read somewhere that C fits on G and vice versa. Of course I could simply order one and try it out but currently the G3 55 stand is out of stock (Austria/germany)...so I can buy a used C3 stand for 25€ but if doesnt fit I can kick that shit
Thanks a lot. Couldn't figure out #4 on the instructions. Have to take a wild guess it's tape removal. Had to use my magnifier for a closer look. Made a subscriber of me. Have a good one.
If not for you, I would still be trying to figure out how to set up the base! Thank you. That set up included my husband, his son & me and I'm the one who went in search of a video.
@mad-lamb-gaming5820 The screws that come with require a Philips Head screwdriver. It's the type that looks kind of like a cross on the end (+) You could use a flat head screwdriver in a pinch, but it's definitely not recommended.
@user-km1lr5ws9i This model does not offer multiple pedestal heights. If you're looking for an OLED with that feature you'll need to consider the Sony A80L or A95L.
LG really needs to include a manual. I shouldn't have to look up on RUclips how to set it up and see what the pieces are. Seriously what a fail. Thank you for this video.
It would be very useful if you showed how to tell the M5 screws from the M3s. I gather only the M3s have a greenish lubricant on them. The packaging from LG does not identify what's in the two packets. Shame on LG.

FYi, also different countries appear to have different bases. Maybe they cheaped out and printing the several versions
Absolutely! Thank god for these videos. The instructions are crap! No pictures, nothing.
yeah. what happens if you don't screw the bottom base to the plate? asking for a dumb friend who just put the plate on the back and jammed it in.
Fortunately, the instructions that came with my LG C3 did have the directions for installation. But I really appreciate those who put this stuff up on RUclips.
Just watched the video and was about to say the same thing 😂
100% agree
This video applies for the C4 as well, for anyone wondering. Thanks for the help, sir.

Thank you so much I could not have done this alone without your video!!
Yours is the most detailed assembly instructions for the LG C3 stand that I've found. Thank you
How do you know which screws are which?
Watch what pkg he grabs!
The grey ones attach the two parts of the stand together. The ones with the blue thread attach the stand to the TV.

Hi, thank you for the video. I just have a question about the size/reference of the screw, please ? I lost mine, thank you!
@othmaneelidrissi This model uses M5 x L20 (qty 4) and M4 x L16 (qty 4) screws to install the pedestal.
This also worked for the 48" model. I'm very good with this stuff, but the included instructions weren't completely clear. VERY happy to find exactly what I was looking for here, thanks so much!

Ok so ive just bought an oled and im not sure how i would lift the tv back to an upright position once i put the stand on without damaging it?
Great video! Is this the same pedestal stand that the C2 models use?
@Maolsy Yes, it's remained the same for the last few generations.
@@abtelectronics Do you know if the C1/CS stand works on the C2/C3?
