Hello dear auntie g: wanna know how to know if already boiled millets which I prepared yesterday morning (which are not kept in fridge at all till tonight means next day night) are alright to eat and not spoiled. Asking as I have noticed that they start tasting sweet in taste very next day of making them. What are the symptoms of spoiled millets? Would be grateful if u could guide in this case.❤😊
I have not come across such a thing and have no idea why this happened. Spoilt millets will smell bad as they get fermented, especially sooner, in the hot humid climate these days. Its upto you but I would suggest you to discard them. Millets need to be made fresh and consumed the same day.
Hello sir I soaked millets overnight and boiled with soaked water and once with fresh water. Millets with soaked water led to slight pain in my stomach. Should I use fresh water for boiling millets? Also I found throwing away the white layer that starts forming once millet starts to boil, it was much easier to digest. Can u let me know sir if I am wasting nutrients by throwing away the white foamy layer. Thankyou so much 😊 Happy Diwali ❤
Boil millets only once with soaking water. Wash them once with plain water before soaking. Soak overnight. If millets give you stomach ache don't eat them. Although it's not necessary you can remove the foamy layer. Happy dipawali to you too.
@@RajanSinghJolly sir I meant that one instance I boiled with soaked water and a week later I boiled with fresh water and found that when I boil with fresh water, it doesn't give any stomach issue. Is it advisable to boil with soaked water? Does removing it lead to loss of nutrients?
@@tanvipunjabi7286 it is advisable to boil with soaking water as it contains some nutrients especially phytonutrients but if it causes problems then you can boil with fresh water.
Namaste aunty i do cook like this and i soak my unpolished foxtail maillets over night anround 12hrs but still my millets are not look like you even i cook it for 1.1/2 hr still not happy.what is mistake done by me its not fluffy like in a video pls help

I think your millet was not husked meaning uske upar ka chilka nahi nikala tha. This husk will never get cooked so always buy millets from a reputed to source FYI 1. Millets do not take so long to cook. 2. Millets are not animal or even bird feed as many people think. 3. Cooked millets will never be as soft as rice. 4. The method I have shown is correct and the timing too if you get unpolished dehusked millets. 5. I have many millet recipes on my channel. Please check them out. 6.
