Guys. Some of these aren't San Diego Comic Con announcements. Civil War and Phase 3 were revealed at a Marvel Studios event in Los Angeles in 2014. And Sigourney's Defenders reveal was from NY Comic Con. They probably shouldn't be on this list.
Tom Hiddleston’s stage performance is still number 1 even though you have him listed as number 3. Here is why. Your number 2 was not actually a comic con moment. You did not show Michael Keaton on the stage doing anything to wow the audience. You merely said people didn’t like him getting the role. That brings us to Tom Hiddleston‘s 2019 Loki comic con stage performance being in 3rd place in your count down. With no actual Michael Keaton moment to speak of in your video then Tom’s appearance should at least be upped to number 2. Although I would argue that it was more shocking and thrilling than the Avengers cast first stage introduction at comic con. IMO Tom Hiddleston’s comic con moment is still number 1.
RDJ as Tony Stark was great, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is amazing but Heath Ledger as Joker was just insane. Best portrayal of a comic book character IMO.
For those who are against Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom. Please keep in mind that he already has met for the role back in 2005 before Iron Man. So, I dont see what the problem is with this.
The problem is that there's plenty of actors out there who would be far better suited for the role of Dr. Doom. Christoph Waltz, Mads Mikelsen, Cillian Murphy, etc but instead they relied on cheap nostalgia baiting and stunt casting to bring back RDJ just to play a multiverse variant. It's emblematic of the criticisms the MCU has faced since Endgame
One time, one of my cousins and her ex-husband went to this Comic-Con, and while they were there, they met Stan Lee, got their picture taken with him, and he signed the picture! I'm still very jealous they got to do that. Also, there's this guy who I've seen as a customer at work a couple of times, who, like me, is also a big fan of Star Wars. He and his parents told me that he got to meet Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and the person who played Darth Maul. I think they said their son met them at Disney about a couple or 10 years ago. That also made me super jealous.
He's going to be The Flying Dutchman in the next movie. When he did a little demo, I was thinking he might be the show stealer in the movie. I'll have to see.
Despite anything, having RDJ and Chris Evans (even Chris Hemsworth too just not MCU panel if i'm not mistaken) back to comic con in 2024 is a sweet surprise and a big win for the fans who've missed them and thought we'd never see them there again.. the OG will forever be missed and loved♡ Also the most iconic comic con appearances for me are Loki and Jack Sparrow..nothing else can compare
I’m a bit skeptical about RDJ being Doctor Doom. One one hand, I would’ve preferred another actor to take on the character. But on the other, we’ve seen how good RDJ can act outside the cool guy Tony Stark archetype, so for him to play another Marvel character so wildly different from Iron Man can potentially be interesting. And depending on the direction they take with Victor Von Doom, RDJ could pull it off. Remember that this is a character that we only ever see wearing his mask because of the accident he had with the Fantastic Four which left his face permanently disfigured, so they don’t need to rely so heavily on RDJ’s face.
Tell me about it. Especially with trying to get passes. Especially 4 day ones. And don't get me started on the damn wristbands for Hall H. The whole process of getting one for a Saturday hall h dah on Friday afternoon and just waiting to get inside on Saturday sucked ass.
I blame AVI ARAD for the failure of TASM series The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth Arad on the other hand, just wanted to use the movies to sell toys Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1 Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise Spider-Man was nothing without her
as a parent of a child who had a similar encounter to the Gal Gadot thing, it becomes a great memory. We took our son and his friend to an NHL alumni vs Police game some of my friends were playing in, and we sat next to the alum bench. There was a gap between the glass sections so mid-game Brad May started poking the kids with the end of his stick, then tossed them a signed puck. that was a year ago and he still likes to watch highlights of an NHL tough guy who played 20 years before he was even born just because "Mr May was so nice to them"
When Robert Downey Jr. Returned To The Marvel Cinematic Universe As Doctor Doom During The 2024 San Diego Comic Con. The Audience And The Internet Goes Wild. New Mask, Same Task.

I was there for that panel at Comic Con when Peter Cullen made a surprise appearance at that Bumblebee panel. Same with Mark's appearance at the SpongeBob panel. I definitely lucked out on being at the Marvel panel that Saturday just a few days ago in the Hall H wristband era of comic con. That Dr. Doom reveal took me by surprise. It's reasons like those why it may be worth being at panels in Hall H at comic con.
So after watching the rank loki is number one on the list because second i don't know much but first one has a lot characters so loki is number one as expected actually.
Personally I feel Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would be a better casting choice for Dr. Doom/Victor von Doom. Let Robert Downey Jr. be Iron Man/Tony Stark. Opps I forgot. Tony did sacrificed himself in Avengers: Endgame.
It took me a few minutes to process that this wasn’t Marvel trolling like they usually do. Honestly, a better and even PERFECT idea to bring him and other actors back would be to bring the Supreme Intelligence back! The Supreme Intelligence takes the appearance of whoever the viewer admires meaning they can be played by anyone! I don’t care that Carol killed them. We’re in the Multiverse era; they can have their own variant. Maybe they know they’re doing and it’s not desperate. We have two more years to figure it out
How come its mostly marvel etc.? Travis Fimmel surprising the Vikings Cast and Audience in his Kangaroo outfit should have been a Must have in this List.
What about the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XXXV panel where Seth Green showed stop motion puppets of the jeans for the segment “Denim” and the audience screamed so the recording can be used in the special Gracie Films logo?
Something that should've been mentioned was CM Punk making an appearance at a Mattel WWE panel years ago. For context, that took place a couple of weeks after Punk defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship and walked out of the arena and that his contract expired at midnight after the event. During that time frame there were clips of him walking around with the belt, demanding better treatment. Then at the panel, he walked right in and asked Triple H if he would get what he wanted.
Considering that Victor von Doom has evolved far beyond being a Fantastic Four villain, I'd say RDJ is the only one who could truly pull off the role. Doom has a massive ego, but he also has the means to back up everything he says. He does not talk smack because he does not need to. Doom can definitely hold his own against both the Avengers and the Justice League, and I think he even beat Darth Vader in that one episode of Death Battle.
There's an itsy bitsy problem with the Civil War title announcement: it didn't happen on SDCC but a standalone presentation on October 28, 2014 organized by Marvel Studios for fans who registrated
Hit or no hit, nobody in history comes close to the Comic Con reaction to Dawn of Justice. Worlds finest is just way TOO big and iconic of a team up then anyone.
Dwayne Johnson's whole plan for Black Adam was Bull, he was just so full of himself I felt. I really wasn't surprised when it flopped from all sides 😅😂 But I did feel sad for Henry Cavill. 😅 Still, it was a little funny that he "backed out" twice.
29:25 We miss them so much, but time still going forward, so let's move with and be ready to see RDJ as the freaking Dr. Doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!
i gotta go to coop....they are closing in 2 hours :,) At this lovely Sunday evening. Not much money but I gotta not give up.....EEEEUUUUUHHHHH......!!!!!!
Correct me if I'm wrong but the Civil War announcement was NOT at Comic-Con, it was at Marvel Special event in El Capitan Theatre in LA. Also, thats not how you spell Tom Cruise's last name
Robert Downey Jr was kinda obvious already. If you played Marvel Puzzle Quest, you would have known or gotten a hint. They released a new hero a few months ago, Infamous Iron Man. Which is basically Doctor Doom in another universe took up the mantle of Iron Man after Tony Stark died. Pretty cool looking and the alt costume was the iron man colors. So you could have already guessed that maybe he was gonna come back and be the new Doctor Doom. Since the game, usually have heroes who will appear in a upcoming movie or like really far away in the future. Every Marvel movie i watch since the game, Marvel Puzzle Quest was released in 2013, i am like, wow, i know that hero/villain he just appeared in my game a while back. >.
