Hey, Small Feet Big Heat! Great directions and tips. Using a steam iron, bottled water, and a stretcher identical to yours I am increasing the size of my Paramour's wool felt fedora to fit his big ole head! Now to wait the 48 hours! You made what could have gone so wrong Very Easy! Thanks!
These legit work very well, especially if you wet the hat before stretching, then steam it a bit, and use a wrench to turn the turnbuckle a bit more. I'd rather stretch a too small hat than try to shrink or stuff a too large one, and I've done both.
Has no one made the ‘small feet big head’ comment yet? lol Useful vid though - I’ve got a bunch of hats that are just *slightly* too tight to be comfortable (big feet, freakishly large head) and hope to be able to wear them again soon! Thx :)
Thank you for the demonstration vid! I just got a stretcher from Hat Club. Can you stretch your hat more than once if it shrinks back down? And do I have to curve my hat like yours to use a stretcher? I like my bill with just a slight curve. Thank you again.
@@DMitch-ny3jb the hat can be curved or flat, it doesn’t matter. You can stretch it again if it shrinks back but if you leave it on the stretcher for long enough like I mention in the video, you won’t have to do that and can just shrink it one time and be done.
I tried without steam and my hat went back to where it was before I put the hat jack in so this morning I used a pot of boiling water to steam it and I put ironing starch on now I'm going to leave it for a couple of days and hope it doesn't shrink again

Glad the video helped, appreciate you taking the time out to comment!
Thanks for the video! I’ve had a Yankees hat for years just sitting because it was too small, ordering this stuff today!!
Appreciate the informative video on stretching fitteds!
Hopefully it helps out some people who have some fitteds to stretch
Hey I’m watching from queens NY! Are you from queens too? Your hat collection and tips are dope; I’ve been wearing hats since I was 16, I’m 35 now
I spent a lot of time in Queens growing but no and that’s what’s up that’s a lot of time to be collecting
Good presentation thanks. Will give it a try.
Great video. What about using steamer with hats with a suede sweat band
I haven’t tried this on a hat with a suede sweatband

@@ramsesosirus wouldn’t recommend wetting the hat or wrenching the stretcher but to each is own.
Hi!
Have you ever tried this with a snapback? If so, does it work?
@@levithesaint I’ve never tried it with a SnapBack
Awesome video. Thanks for the very informative rundown. 👏 Helped a lot.🙏😊
Glad it helped, thanks for watching !

I like that pink Mets hat. I wonder if that’s still available anywhere

@@SmallFeetBigHeat ok thank you for the help. I just picked up a steamer and waiting on the stretcher thanks for the help.
Thanks for the video! After stretching your hat, have you noticed if it shrinks back to original size after few months of not wearing it?
No but I leave it on the stretcher for a good amount of time to prevent that
Hi
I found the hat stretcher on amazon but there is a small and a large version and i don't know which one to buy
@@almostoth-kovacs2696 you buy the one that covers the size of your hat
Lol off topic but what is the brand for the grey shirt you’re wearing? Been looking for great blanks
Kinetic Kings
Definitely appreciate you. Always a big help.

Finally!! Thank you sooo much
Hope it helps!
I appreciate all your videos. As a new hat collector your channel is a staple for my hobby. Much love from the West Coast!
Appreciate the love, thank you 🙏🏾
@@SmallFeetBigHeatNice hat collection
Great video!
Thanks! Hope it helps
gonna try and make a 7 1/4 go up to 7 5/8. wish me luck!
Good luck 🍀
Did it work?
@@SoggyDoritosmemes it did great but it kind of regressed a bit. i need to do a couple more sessions i think.
Your video is helpful though more coherence in sizing by New Era would help more...
Hopefully it helps some people out
Nice hat stretcher and it’s like buying pants un hem and sizing to your fit. Partly bc many of these fitted hats are not consistent.
Oh and the twist method works, but they should make one with springs.
They should stretch the hats for you , when you buy it new from the stores.

@@Rayraywheelz how long did you leave the hat jack in?
@@SmallFeetBigHeat 24 hours the first time

Will this work. Stretching a 7 3/8 to 5/8 ?
Nah thats too much brah
@@Julio-LM1120 it worked bro, stretched 3/8 to 5/8. Just took multiple sessions and lots of steam
@KicksandEDC damn I bought a 7 3/8 and I'm gonna try to get it to 7 1/2. This gives me hope I'll keep you updated how that goes
@@rafaelavila8506you’ll get it done. Just take your time, use plenty of steam and repeat multiple sessions as needed. Good luck
This could make a cap deeper too?😢
No I wouldn’t recommend it for that
@@SmallFeetBigHeat thank you!🙏🏼
I want to know how long it needs to sit there?
I answered this in the video…multiple time
