Everything sounds so magical on this. The fast drums, the impressive orchestra, and Drake's vocals are a piece of art on their own. His versatility is something I noticed on daphne and now he brings even further, being on the tenor range or grunts or something more pop-like. really impressive. already eager for the next releases
Simplesmente maravilhoso esse álbum!! Que banda fantástica!!! Uma obra-prima lançada e que perdurá por anos na história da música!! Obrigado Ruins of Elysium!!
I don't want to sound like a dick, the music is great, but the vocals sound muffled in a lot of places, it lacks the clarity which the instrumental track has and would make this album a masterpiece for all times. At times the singing feels like it lacks power, accentuation, and soul as if the singer doesn't feel the of the words in his heart. Maybe it's due to his vocal training as a tenor, but a lot of times it just feels too safe and monotone and could use a more personal touch. This isn't a chorus singing a piece in Latin, it's supposed to be a metal album in English. If these things were corrected, I would honestly feel chills and be brought to tears at points. Instead, although the lyrics are fantastic, the singing lacks serious passion. To be fair, closer to the end of the album he seems to get more into it and the total package seems much more complete. A little remastering or re-recording would go a long way to fixing how disconnected the vocal track feels in terms of making the listener feel something through the words.
It was such an honour to be a guest singer in this masterpiece ♥ You rule, guys!!! ♥
Long live Ruins of Elysium!!!
