Awesome, I have also an old Klepper Aerius and wanted to ask you how did you restore the kayak skin?
    Many thanks

I am wondering what Kayak this is, I can say one thing for sure: This isn't a Klepper Aerius, and I am not even sure if this is even a Klepper! If it is, it is a pre war one whith its second skin, as Grey skin came post war as far as I know.
Have you made any effords to properly identify the type of your folding kayak?
In Minute 1:36 the metal tip of your washboard looks as if there is a Manufacturer logo under the tape. Also the back rest has some text on it. And I have seen photos of those!
I would bet This boat is 1960th but some some other Manufacturer, which does make it cooler!

First thought was right thought, i have seen that already! This should be one of the late Hammer Bad Mergentheim Foldingkayak, that red logo on the Washboard top should show a Knight if I am not mistaken. Hammer was taken over by Metzler in 1968 and continued production. As I checked Photos: I would date this boat to 1968-1974 but I am still not sure about the exact model you have.
Considering that most of those Folding kayaks where made by Klepper, Pioneer and Poucher, this one is a reasonably rare thing to own nowadays.

@@fnordpol The person who gave it to me had no idea, she was told its a Klepper. Her dad imported it way back in the early 70's.
I tried to look for some markings on the frame, but found nothing indicative.
The washboard has a red stripe , but no logo.
      Thanx for your feedback.

Are you sure that is a Klepper? The fittings and frame design don't look like it - It looks more like an old Tyne folding kayak...

The peron who gave it to me advises its a Klepper .Her father imported it from Germany over 40 years back,if I am not mistaken.
The sail and parts of the frame have German lettering.
