61,360 original miles. Rust free original metal. #s matching, beautiful factory colors. Extra sharp looking car, love the stance and round taillights.
EXTERIOR: Appears to be a virgin body. Original metal is very straight, all the panels fit perfectly square and flush. It has had only one repaint on the exterior only,, jambs are still clean original. Painted it's factory Artesian turquoise. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. It has new weather strips. The chrome and stainless trim is probably original and exceptionally nice. It is straight, shiny and fits tight. It has dual bowtie mirrors. New windshield. Has 17" Riddler wheels with performance Nexen tires.
INTERIOR: Beautiful inside, I love the matching turquoise color. It is exceptionally clean. The original dash area is mint- the chrome bezel, knobs, woodgrain, dash pad, lenses, heater control panel and even the steering wheel. Inside the glove box looks new. Down on the floor it has new carpet, deluxe seat belts in front, aftermarket in back. The upholstery and door panels are mint, the trim on the seats is straight and shiny. The headliner, visors and mirror are mint. All the trim- armrests, kick panels, rear shelf are excellent. It does have what looks like an original am radio but upgraded with modern digital guts. 6x9 speakers in back are painted turquoise.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The #s matching 327 motor is meticulously detailed and it looks completely stock. It is the optional 275 hp with double hump heads and a 4 barrel. It was upgraded with an edelbrock carb. The valve covers, detcals, exhaust manifolds, heat shields around the spark plugs, air cleaner are all stock. The engine bay is spotless metal with clean original finishes. The battery is bolted down, has new cables. New hoses with reproduction clamps. It features power steering and power brakes with upgraded dual reservoir.

I love the 65 Impala, but keep in mind the cars didn't like to stop, take curves or have any safety equipment other than seat belts. It took GM many years to give in and install them.
My buddy had a red one, with a black interior, a 327 with a duel feed Holy, Keystone wheels, and headers. In these days, the 1960s, Wide Oval Tires were one of the few choices for a wide tire. The survival rate for accidents was FAR worse than modern cars. Highway deaths today are much less frequent. What a blast to shift that Muncie 4 speed. The car was amazingly fast for such a heavy model.

@Ron LHeureux Yes you are correct. We had a 1967 Impala. These cars didn't handle well or have the reliability of today's cars. I have a Honda Odyssey Van with 230,000 miles. No problems, solid, quality cars. There is always someone whining about why don't they build them like this anymore. The reason is, no one would buy them.

I bought a 1965 Impala Convertible as my very first car back in 1976, when I was 16. I bought it myself with money I earned, as a bag boy at the local supermarket. The lady had bought it brand new and wanted 300 bucks for it, but I talked her down to $280.00 I wish I had that old girl now. It was blue with a white top. I was so proud of that thing that I sleep in it, the first night I owned it....crazy kid! Ran like'a top!!!

I had a '65 Misty Blue SS 327 (built '69 350) factory 4 speed for years. I wrecked so many classics throughout the '70's and '80's, finally moved to '78 Chevy shorty van (which still have) and never had an accident since. I think back buying a mint '72 Chevelle in '78 for $800 at a car lot, and think of what that car sells for today.

I did notice something special on the dash. Off to the right the dash sports a vacuum gauge measuring intake manifold vacuum pressure. You did not see a lot of the 65 Impalas that featured that gauge. I once had a 65 Belair post. It did not have one from the factory so I got a hold of one and installed it. It was real nice to see how hard your engine was working with that gauge.

Very well preserved and maintained classic of the mid 60's, Jay. You might want to check the rear lights on the drivers side. At 8:13 you may observe a brake light out as you are in reverse exiting the garage. At 8:29 you can notice the brake light is not illuminating as you place your foot on the brakes. The outside brake light on the driver's side, sir. Nice presentation, many thanks.

Still trying to figure out if this is the car I drove or not back in spring/summer 1986. There was an elderly lady who was my neighbor in Franklin, Indiana that year. She had a car identically exact to this car, same color, same engine, and that damn 2-sp auto trans which I never figured out. I was goo-goo-gaa-gaa over that car and drooled over it daily as she hardly ever drove it. Her husband purchased the car when they lived in Minnesota and then moved to Indiana. He died later leaving her with the car. I drooled over it daily as I was only 20 y.o. but one day I came home from work and she asked me if I wanted to go out for dinner and I said sure. I got cleaned up and came outside ready to go when she handed me the keys to her car and she said, you're driving. I drove us to a diner in Bargersville and then on way home stopped by the farmers market in Trafalger. Not long after this adventure I moved back to Indianapolis and never saw the car again but have dreamed of finding it again someday. I don't know if it is this exact car I drove or not but the low-low mileage sounds exactly right. I know this one sold but I still dream of one day owning an exact copy albeit with the original factory tires/rims. I have such a love for this car that I am in the process of having my Ford Crown Vic LX painted this exact color.

I ordered The factory Tack, and a corvette steering wheel, and a AM FM radio, The outside was cypress green. with Black interior . After i got it I lowered the front three inches, put 30Inch glass pack's on, installed seven Inch Chrome reversed wheels with little baldies Hub caps. window was 38,000, and I got it out the door for 32,000,,, I only has it eight months, ans drove it 13k miles, and sold it to my uncle for 29,000.. Randy ... it's not hard to make the clock work again. Usually need a clean and lube more than anything else. Last one I did was a 65 Corvair and it worked perfect for years after I touched it up.

    A remarkable example.
Not a nut or bolt on a convertible version Of this 65’ that I did not touch, remove or change and cherish as a new owner at 15 and driving it at 17

We had the four-door version. Not sure about the lowered stance and the funny mags , but the rest of it's pretty sweet
