FYI for shotgun range: people always assume buckshot when they think of shotguns. Mostly, I think because of games, 12 gauge slugs are essentially just tumbling rifle rounds. They have most of the range but with 3x the shredding upon impact.
REM: shotguns are best for breaching buildings, cant believe you only found the one vehicle... but a squad with shotguns to clear the horded buildings might be a thing to try...
Hi, wanted to let you know I’ve been enjoying the Fort Monroe series. 👍 I started plying it a couple of days ago, currently at turn 95. That’s the farthest I’ve ever played IFZ without it crashing.😊 I just completed looting EVERY building and all the Expedition Zones. Don’t need the cars anymore. I copied your idea of walling in the two northern corners, great idea, wish I’d have thought of it. If you want to loot the island to the West, I just sent a single squad with pistols only to loot every building. To my surprise, they successfully completed the task. My next strategy is to demolish every building and take every tree from the north where most of the attacks come from, thus denying anywhere for the infected to hide from the sun. It’ll be interesting to see how many infected actually survive to attack me. 🧟🧟♀️🧟♂️. Well, I need to finish up episode 07 and then get back to the game.

Good luck That expansion really drew their ire. The amount and size of swarms is wow. Are they travelling from DC to attack ? You’d think, eventually the local area would be ‘hunted out’…and then population pressure would push the infected into the cleared area and repeat.
When cleared you could actually build heavily defended small areas to move people and equipment until you can create two extremely fortified choke points on the upper left and right connections to the mainland
Note: I posted this comment about 30 minutes into the video. On your normal alignment, the Northwest corner. Right across the moat, directly west, is a small building right next to the water. (the north building you set to disassemble). Build a wall on the water, then 3 fortified gates and walls to fill in the "fort". Make that building a warehouse. Now you'll have a cross fire and a warehouse making it easier to disassemble buildings. Or make the fort bigger and have a house for workers. Possibly "double wall" the fort.
i have a tip for you, create more command centers,, they have a good health cap ,and also work as deposit/shleter for. better for defensive strats,, 9k health against 3k /2,5k hp of other buildings.

Okay so I've been working on a suggestion for a new series, this would have a story to it but i need to know when you do a custom start can you like edit the map adding in thing's like Walls, tower's, add ih supply's like gun's and ammo, vheicals, and other things before you start the game
Seems your workers, coming to and from the upper right corner house, are leaving the top center gate to head over to clear the left side buildings and to work on the left side wall extension. They are walking all the way around in the water, often taking almost all day to ge to the side. Is there path management for non squads? Or is there a way of assigning people to specific homes, people living in specific housing to work in on specific areas? Or maybe redistributing the population to other households so they're closer to certain areas? 🤔🤔🤔
No, not in my game at least. It wouldn’t drive across the water in any case. You can drive across water in the expedition zones but not the main playable area. Squads can cross the water if you want to loot the buildings.
I’ve noticed you leave your guards in their towers all day. I have 120+ guards and with only 350 people so the extra body’s are needed. I have, occasionally, forgot to get them back to their towers BEFORE a raid which has caused some serious close calls.😢
I tend to not put them back in time to rearm ammo it's happened a few times and almost cut my run short so just not taking that chance now 😂 but I've got alot of people now
No this is my only one. I had tried when starfield released but the channel pretty much died with starfield so I decided to try again. But that channel was deleted months ago.
Just from watching someone els snipers have crazy range but fire rate is slow (good for back line but frount line definitely AKs) not even seen shotguns yet
Jesus 300+ I just made it to 100 😅 but I've had sooooo many game ending/save killing bugs up to this point. This has been my longest run thus far since they've fixed so many now.
@jeromegonzales3809 yea unless you base in a highly highly dense city. I mostly can't wait for the renewable wood. But also can't wait to see how the armor is going to work.
@@KnightOps-KO yah but my problem right now the swarn/hordes kinda predictable and easy to defend I think they need to put a boss in Eveyswarn right to make it more thrilling x)
@jeromegonzales3809 yea with whats currently out they can be pretty easy the main killer would be resources. they have ideas for other types of infected and even stronger versions of all the types. Can't wait for them to make an appearance.
I have to ask - how do you get the car symbols to show up? I cant find it in settings and have only been using visual eyesight to find them and keep track of them and its been bugging me. I lost a truck already 😂🥲

For the broken down car you should maybe try and come in from the side of the square since you entered that way when you lost the car.

You shouldn't destroy the science building because if the game update and there more science stuff you will have to build it again

Why not start placing some barb wires on the most critical areas of the fort to somehow deal a little bit of damage to the infected
The steel costs would make me go broke atm 😂 with the constant repairs so using most of my steel on canary since I've got a large population.

Once the infected can attack your normal workers, there's gonna be a lot of nightly death 😂 from them being too slow coming in at night

There's not but I built more houses so they should move there for better housing.
