This and the 2 prior videos have introduced me to this great game and I played for the first time this morning and had a blast. I also really appreciate the advice with the car so I can loot faster and destract zombies while my base shoots at them
I don't really understand your logic for tower placement, you sacrifice almost all coverage outside the wall which is where you should want to deal with them
I agree. I'd build the guard towers as close to the wall as possible. Better to start killing them before the zoombies get to the wall.
How u don't understand his tower logic placement? It's a tower that protects the camp how hard is that to comprehend 🤦
@@Identity4300 It would do a better job at protecting the camp if it was able to start shooting at zombies before they reach the wall. As it is positioned now, the zombies will reach the wall before it starts shooting.

Hi, just subscribed because I'm curious about this game. Like the way you present. Just a note that the bow is about 1/3 less effective than the pistol, not 1/3 the effectiveness of the pistol, so three bow towers would be needed to do the work of two pistol towers. I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this a go when it releases, so I'd be happy to see you do as much as you like. PS. I like your approach to the research questions, making decisions that have a longer term benefit versus immediate gratification is critically important in strategy games, which this in essence is.

54:20 I dont know if you already know this or not but the snapping of the wall is off because that last section is not a full section. It's snapping out to where the full section of the wall would have been. I'm guessing that a bug that should be reported.
You seem to have only partly converted the building to house your HQ (the green colour stops part way up the building in a diagonal stripe). You can convert small parts of buildings if they are too big - and expand the conversion later. I did not hear you mention this, so you may not be aware.
That is two buildings.

@@CharliePryor 29:01 You see the one facing straight above and then the other building off that to the left. They are saying the one that is straight on is only partially constructed. They are not saying about the one that is left of the antenna and perpendicular to the main HQ building.
However, I think it may be a display optical illusion happening, the full building is converted as the bits on top of the straight building (HQ building) are green - indicating it has been built and is your home territory.
@@METALFREAK03 there isn’t anything I can do about the building that has only a portion green. There is no alteration possible to the HQ building.
Btw you can chose a partial building for construction

I usually have at least 1 movie or TV reference in every video. Sometimes very subtle, and in lessor known movies, but as a former filmmaker myself, I enjoy putting them in there. ;)

Why don’t you use the queue feature when exploring with your squads? Surely it would be more efficient rather than manually moving them?

@@CharliePryor based of watching the video, there doesn't seem much to do besides living in buildings, constructing towers, make farms and that's it. more exploring than actual variety full of options.
are there more building options yet to come? such as gunsmiths, garages, farmhouse, library's, barns, chicken coops, horse stables etc. etc.? the game as options short in such limits.
@@AaronOmar-co8bn of course. Simply requires us to get farther into research. I always focus essential survival planning first before getting into advanced production.
We can make our own fuel, ammo, and weapons eventually.
Your wall is soo stretch out, it seems impossible for it to be done given the risen difficulty in long termx. If it was me, I would've settle for small area, less resource consumption is preferable
Maybe to you, huge areas give more option which in turn, I totally understand but when it comes to stability, less resource consumption, easier to operate and easy to manage defense is definitely ideal
I did the same thing playing Project Zomboid. When I've already stabilised my whole situation, I'd move on to securing more areas
It's not like I'm saying you're doing all wrong but considering you keeping your facilities closer, having your surrounding tightly secured could provide you with ease of mind when you deeply focus on other matters
With all that being said, loves all your videos especially (Cartel Tycoon) learn something from your gameplay that somewhat benefit me
The thing about watching somebody with different styles and decisions than you, is that we always learn something. What to do, or what not to do. Welcome aboard. ;)
@@CharliePryor perhaps it is, can't say you're doing it right while others are wrong because in the end, while your methods and choices may secure yourself much better, others may progress much further than you
Some choices are ups to those who do it themselves to keep, not to enforce onto others. I'm not trying to push my views on you and I apologise if it is so, maybe you saw bigger picture than I am, who knows, right?

@@Bruddatab just because I’m making videos others watch, doesn’t mean I’m right, better, more skilled, or more knowledgeable. I make mistakes all the time, especially since most of the time I’m playing games for the first time right alongside everyone else. I won’t have the best strategy all the time. I only promise to have fun, and do my best to be entertaining while doing so. ;)
