Saw this tour in Pittsburgh PA. Great White opened. Both kicked serious ass. What a night. We drove down there ( about 35 miles ) in this guys Plymouth Duster 340 4 speed. I will never forget that!
I remember first seeing this video in 1984 when I was 14. I'm so glad this music is not forgotten and still loved by millions. Long live Rob Halford and Judas Priest.
I saw them in Niagara Falls first and then Toronto. Niagara Falls was the first date on the North American tour. I just remembered now that they filmed this video at the Convention Center the night before and during the concert. I know because I was watching Eyewitness News the night before and they were reporting on the filming of the video and the upcoming concert. Saw Rob on my little T.V. in front of the mouth of the Metal Monster and my heart stopped for a second because I thought I missed the concert : ) I was right up front for Niagara. I don't think I had floor seats but security was way more lax in Buffalo, Niagara. Every concert at Rich Stadium I went to me and my friend would walk past everybody in line and then straight down the stairs on to the floor.
@@tristanburton3554 The Who and Motörhead were the loudest bands I got to see. I think Motörhead when Brian Robertson was with them was 136 decibels. I could only hear low frequencies after. I talked to 'The Eagle' after the concert and he told me a kid in New York lost his hearing for three days after : ) And I read that when they played Chicago the ceiling of the venue started to crumble. I saw The Cult for Love and Sonic Temple. Wish I saw them for Electric because I would have seen a virtually unknown Guns N' Roses.
Yah, I'm paying for now in my old age, lol. The loudest I saw in concert were JP, Black Sabbath (w/Ian Gillum), the Cult (Sonic Temple Tour), Motley Crew, Ozzy Osbourne, White Zombie and Van Halen. Plus working around F-14s in my navy days didn't help my hearing as well, lol.
38 Years ago, on this very night, I was there when they filmed this, on the opening night of their North American tour, Niagara Falls, NY!!! March 16, 1984!
Very spooky tune...that last scream is terrifying..brings the most terrifying vampire/Dracula imagery to the imagination. Walking through a gothic cemetery alone at night with only your faith to protect yourself.
I must thank these guys and Iron Maiden for putting my teenage golfing days on ice indefinitely. As I started discovering more of heavy metal and learning how to play a large and strangely shaped piece of wood with strings, electronics and tuning pegs called an electric guitar, my golf clubs began rusting away in the garage. Golf wasn't my choice, it was something my family made me do. Ironically, the guys in Maiden and Priest enjoy playing golf when not on tour.
I saw these guys live in Charlotte N C, during the Dehumanizer tour with Ripper Ownens, Glenn Tipton was Amazing, only time I got to see them live, it was my B. Day. Oh Memories.
Priest was there for me when no one was there during a period of my life when things were pretty Fucked up Priest will always have the Edge over all other bands I listen to from A to Z.

Was already a fan when I first seen them for the 1st time on the painkiller tour, I was 15....that was one of the best and loudest performances! Will always be a Priest fan!!
I love the effect when, after TWENTY (20) bars of the same chord (C# from 1:49), Ian finally steps in (at 2:23) and plays an F# and it feels like somebody just discovered fire or invented the wheel...

When you feel safe
When you feel warm
That's when I rise
That's when I crawl
Gliding on mist
Hardly a sound
Bring the kiss
Evils abound
In the dead of night love bites
Into your room
Where in deep sleep
There you lie still
To you I creep
Then I descend
Close to your lips
Across you I bend
You smile as I sip
Now you are mine
In my control
One taste of your life
And I own your soul
Softly you stir
Gently you moan
Lust's in the air
Wake as I groan
In the dead of night love bites
Love bites you
Invites you
To feast in the night
Excites you
Delights you
It drains you to white
Love bites
You knew at first sight
You'd enjoy my attack
That with my first bite
There'd be no turning back
So come in my arms
I strike any hour
I will return
To trap and devour
In the dead of night love bites

Was my first metal album was 17 have bought all there albums to date
Mine was Screaming on LP then Defenders on tape. Would fall asleep listening to it and inevitably I'd come back awake during Heads Are Gonna Roll so I'd know it was time to put aside the Walkman.
оффигительная песня, необычная и завораживающая
This album to me will always be the best priest album, screaming is a very close second. Such a masterpiece metal album.
That album was pretty controversial back then. I remember clearly Tipper Gore freaking out so much
I dont think so. Im stiill defending " turbo" and "point of entry" against this one! They aged better
@@krisskriss1223 Point of Entry? I...
Defenders is unmistakably heavy 80s metal and that's what makes it great. Turbo and Point had like 2 good songs each.

the best voice
Rob had this dangerous "I mean it"-expression😁
I have been a fan of Judas Priest since I was 5 years old I am 38 now Judas Priest is the best metal band ever they are legends R.I.P. Dave Holland
Defenders Of The Faith is my favorite 80's album that Judas Priest did. In my eyes it is a MASTERPIECE!
One of the best albums through and through. Never have any urge to skip a single song. Totally solid and enjoyable over and over!
The best voice ever...
Judas priest they have the best style in the heavy metal decade's, sound, clothes, and the most important ROB HALFORD☠️💯🔥🤘
One of the best concerts I have seen! Seattle in the 80s, Rob started singing, couldn't see him but oh my, when he came out the coliseum erupted!
One of if not the first metal band started in the 70's...So bow to them and thank them
How did I forget about this song? A metal masterpiece.
Dark, violent, brutal....love it too
It transcends metal, it has like a goth like atmosphere. Brilliantly dark and hypnotic
One more track of "Defenders of the Faith" (1984), my favourite JP album and in my opinion their best work.
man!!!! that intro still puts a silly grin on my face ..... listen to this on a high end system
KEEP THE FAITH
Saw them in Prague on 26. June - simply amazing show. Couldnt believe that this 63 yrs old granny can sing high notes. He really CAN !
Same here every single concert every single town and I love the way to go brother congratulations
Gods of metal
Seen Preist 3 yrs. in a row in Memphis Tenn. this is the greatest metal band to have ever played. i'm now 50 yrs. old and there is no better.
Saw them early 1984 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto for their Defenders tour. One of the better stage sets I've seen. Great show.
They were the loudest band I have ever heard live, lol. Black Sababbath would 2nd and the Cult the 3rd....
Saw Rob on my little T.V. in front of the mouth of the Metal Monster and my heart stopped for a second because I thought I missed the concert : )
I was right up front for Niagara.
😁I remember how shit the Leafs were in 84 and 85, 87, 88...
38 Years ago, on this very night, I was there when they filmed this, on the opening night of their North American tour, Niagara Falls, NY!!! March 16, 1984!
This isa kick ass song I got this Album I still played IT loudly 😅my 2 songs is love bites and Eat me Alive🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘how miss the 80s
The song that got me into Priest, hardcore fan here! Rob rules
The song that got me into metal.
Judas heavy.
Rob, a little guy possessed by demonic metal, enough to control the galaxy!
Very spooky tune...that last scream is terrifying..brings the most terrifying vampire/Dracula imagery to the imagination. Walking through a gothic cemetery alone at night with only your faith to protect yourself.
Judas Priest beste Heavy Metal Band aller Zeiten👍👍👍👍👍. Unerreichbar👍👍👍👍👍.
JP is the best. Period.
The magnificence of this particular piece of British metal, the Rocka Rolla album was an impetus...that continues to this day...imo
The Metal Gods Ese Dúo De Guitarras Es De Otro Nivel Y El Álbum Muy Bueno De Principio A Fin Defenders Of The Faith.
I love the vampiric vibe in this song ;-)
I must thank these guys and Iron Maiden for putting my teenage golfing days on ice indefinitely. As I started discovering more of heavy metal and learning how to play a large and strangely shaped piece of wood with strings, electronics and tuning pegs called an electric guitar, my golf clubs began rusting away in the garage.
Golf wasn't my choice, it was something my family made me do.
Ironically, the guys in Maiden and Priest enjoy playing golf when not on tour.
Great album!
Rob is timeless, his voice to his day has no match!!!
MAN I LOVE THE METALLIC CLOTHES IN THIS ONE!
Me & my two best buddies saw their Defenders of the Faith show in 1984 in Nashville, TN. H O L Y S H I T!!! DAMN, I MISS THE 80s!!!!!!!!! METAL ICONS.
Yeah I miss
I really like Judas' with David Holland on the drum, was a great era.
One of the greatest bands in existence
I saw these guys live in Charlotte N C, during the Dehumanizer tour with Ripper Ownens, Glenn Tipton was Amazing, only time I got to see them live, it was my B. Day. Oh Memories.
My late husband, Lyrold absolutely loved judas priest and I thank them for the music that made him happy
Priest was there for me when no one was there during a period of my life when things were pretty Fucked up Priest will always have the Edge over all other bands I listen to from A to Z.
Best song about Vampires ever! Love this song.
It's weird how these guys look more and more badass metal the older they get. Especially Rob Halford. At 72 he's never looked more metal.
Judas Priest is a Rock God!
Adore this song. In my blood and brain forever! Nothing like Judas Priest! ... love bites indeed my boy
Screamin for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith are the very DEFINITION of HEAVY METAL!!!!
Always did love the way Rob moves to the music....His arm movements and gestures really are in a category of its own.😁
I love Judas Priest!!
I am fan judas priest.35 years i am fan this group.
This couldn't make it to a million views?
That's it!
Call every Priest fan and tell them to watch and keep replaying this video until it reaches 1,000,000 views or more!!!
Victor R. Excellent!
Yeah let's all join forces. Rule with an iron hand and prove to all the world that Metal rules the land!!
Only cause everyone is going out and buying music and supporting the artist which is why there aren't 10,000,000 views
Did it! Over 2 million
LEVI The Lion challenge accepted
Remember kids, you don't rock the metal, you METAL the rock ! \m/
My late uncle Julius always turned up the volume with these guys...he really loved their music😄😄
one of the most underrated albums! defenders rules!
Was already a fan when I first seen them for the 1st time on the painkiller tour, I was 15....that was one of the best and loudest performances! Will always be a Priest fan!!
Opened with this in Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens 84. Amazing show.!!!
I saw them @veterans memorial in phoenix when this album came out with my brother, he was 16 and i was 18 and we fryed ! omg
My favourite band of all time! Sen them many times and always awesome!
Awesome stage for tour💥👍
The set list is AWESOME, limited time to play most hits.
Yep. Saw them in Shreveport, La. I was 16 years old. Great White opened . Great, great show.
Nothing better then Leather and Fang’s ❤
I love that sound of Holland hitting the Tom's on the love bites part..sounds sick
Oh yes. Rob is correct Love Bites! Keep on Rockin!
I love the guitar piece that comes before the big solo. It reminds me of the outro of No. 13 Baby by the Pixies. I could listen to it on repeat.
F*#k yeah, this song is still kicking ass today.
Oh Yes definitely
It's fantastic to know that their are still some headbangers out there...
When my son was three he thought they sang love mice but later realized it was love bites..hardcore..how funny....
love mice?!?!?hahahahaha, the children and their sweet imagination.....
That is so cute and funny😄
That’s awesome I’m going to sing to it that way now.
Very funny! Thank you! I’ll tell my cat!
una de las mejores bandas del mundo
*Britain ALWAYS is first in Metal and will ALWAYS be the original authors of HEAVY METAL!*
Priest Live is the best album ever
I love the effect when, after TWENTY (20) bars of the same chord (C# from 1:49), Ian finally steps in (at 2:23) and plays an F# and it feels like somebody just discovered fire or invented the wheel...
+griiseknoen so true-the simple nuances of a song making all the difference..
Nothing more to say about this song! (Y)
The very beginning makes the hair stand UP! Yep, they rocked the 80's and me and my sister loved MTV Heavy Metal Hour was on. And yes us black sibs were metal heads. Any know how to build a time machine?
gives me goosebumps
griiseknoen Definitely my favourite part of the whole song is the bass. This has always been my least liked track in Defenders.
Prostě super pecka. To není žádná nuda ale nálož tonů.
It's got exactly the right vibes for me.
Me too love does bite 😢
@@laurasupko
I meant something else, that is the spectrum of sounds. Yet, I think true love doesn't bite. True love is when you are concerned with the good for the other person, not yourself, and the attitude is mutual.
As a pre-teen back in the day, I remember staying up to some awful hour of the night to see the premiere of this video on MTV. I was thrilled then and I enjoy it now.
