Overseas Chinese investors have bought up half the properties, and are leaving them empty, to drive up housing and rental prices (less than 1/2 % vacancy in rentals now apparently) ... Sudanese gangs terrorising the streets, car jackings, mass parties/riots and robberies ... road rage and Melbournians ignoring road rules a daily occurrence .. not to mention rapes, assaults, house break-ins. etc... little wonder it's no longer the world's "most liveable" city.
