There's nothing basic about patent leather and the rug actually was an accent for the shoes more than the floor. At one point he's speaking highly of the shoe then again speaks derogatory of the shoes....... 👀🤔🥱

Maybe a dark purple would add some flavor however I put a pair of black/blue laces which looks really good
