Thanks for doing those comparisons, Michael.
But im missing information about bitrate settings and video sharpening at both cameras. Both provide those in their in camera menus and they start with different settings.
Also Go3 does not use the same type of sensor like the X3. Go3 has also a different set of optimization routines for color and Co.
So like someone in the comments of your other video mentioned it's best to compare only single lens modes to Go3, even then the sensor type has an impact.
The Go3 sensor is somewhere between OneX2 / OneRS and X3.

I exported in ProRes. I used default sharpness settings.
Sorry I don’t know the go3 sensor. Insta360 does not publish that data so I can only guess about that. Where do you get the info about the sensor being between x2 and x3?
@@360vroomers I've got my information directly from insta360. At least they confirmed it's not the X3 sensor but somehow more equal to the x2/oners standard single lens. But with much different optimizations.
Love your comparison.. I'm torn between the 2, any recommendation on which model if I want to capture personal travel vlogs be it solo or with family? I'm a first timer on action cam by the way 😊
Hi ito6122. Thanks for checking out my video. For travel vlogs, especially with your family, I would recommend X3 instead. Hi @@360vroomers thanks for your views :)...X3 really cool indeed!what will be the best sleek accessories for X3 to be almost hands free? I find body strap and helmet mount is bulky for X3 haha.. GO 3 looks very sleek and easy to mount on pendant and hat hence my biggest dilemma 😆
@@ito6122 if you want to use x3 hands free, you can use a 1/4-20 to gopro mount (which is used by many cameras). This lets you use any accessory with a gopro style mount, such as a chest mount. But the usual way to use a 360 camera is with a thin selfie stick, which will make the x3 appear as an invisible flying camera.
@@ito6122 if you like hands free shooting, another factor to consider is that you can put the x3 on a tripod and use auto track to follow you around.
Go3’s main advantage is that it is small and unobtrusive. If that is what you want, then go3 is for you. If on the other hand you want a variety of shots to make your videography more interesting, I suggest x3.

Congrats for the video!! I just bought the X3, looks like an amazing camera really!! But i confess i've been struggling a little with the workflow and to find kinds os using for the 360°, if you know what i mean...
😢 i'm kind of said, but thinking about selling and going to a insta go3!! I make many reels for instagram, and i think the portability of insta go is WAY much better...can use and glue that to almost everything and everywhere. And after recording it, i dont need to be editing like the X3. Am i crazy?? 😒 please give me some light...thanks!!

The full sensor is “4k” but you never show the full sensor unless you want an unstitched circular fisheye video. When it is cropped to 16:9 then it is less than 4k but because the full sensor was 4k then insta360 calls it 4k. Gopro hero does the same thing. Their full sensor is 5.3k but when it is cropped for stabilization and for changing the aspect ratio then it has less than that but gopro still calls it 5k.
