The eagle owl is beautiful, and the cotton kitties are adorable. That’s hilarious your husband thought you were stitching a plant before backstitching.
Welcome to a fellow new Flosstuber! Thanks for your kind comments on my video. I absolutely love that owl WIP and the Oh Shenandoah piece, just gorgeous. :) great job and look forward to more videos from you.
I loved watching your first video! The Eagle owl is stunning! And thank you for the children book recommendation, so fun! Hope to see more of your videos in the future!
Hey! Found your channel after you commented on my video. You have a lovely voice, perfect for someone who works with children! The pikachu is super cute 😍
Hi! Welcome to flosstube! I absolutely love the owl you are stitching! It’s beautiful. You won’t have any trouble with Shenandoah if you can do that owl. Happy stitching!
I must say for a beginner you are really really good. Your stitching is very interesting with all sorts of different kinds of patterns. That's the way I like to stitch. Keep on stitching
Hello I saw the thumb nail of cuddled kitten and had to watch the video I stitched it myself to remember my cat Foxy she passed away a few years ago and she was such a great hunter. I never did write down the title of the piece and want to thank you for the information. Love your stitched pieces please keep up the good work thanks for sharing this video with us.
Hi Susan, thank you for the kind comments! I, too, stitched the 'Cuddled Kitten' piece in honor of a cat who has passed. It sounds like you had a wonderful pet and companion :)
Beautiful projects and future projects! I especially love that owl. I have six children ranging from 13 down to 4, so I love the book section. Thank you for a lovely first video! I’m going to go watch the rest now. 🙂
Thank you for the kind words, Aimee! I hope to start including older children's books in upcoming videos, and then perhaps there will be a little something for everyone :)
Hi Laurel! I am very happy to have found your channel. I have watched both of your videos and enjoyed them very much. You have a very sweet personality and soothing voice. You remind me a little of my youngest granddaughter. I have always loved children's books. The best memories of my childhood were my grandmother reading to me night after night. Your stitching projects are beautiful. I love cats too. I have always wanted to stitch Shenandoah. I am from WV. Looking forward to visiting again with you soon. Take care........Crystal.
Hi Crystal, thank you for the sweet comments! :) What a wonderful memories you have with your grandmother reading to you. I'm so glad to hear you also love children's books, there are so many fantastic books to choose from these days! I would be interested to hear what your grandmother read to you growing up. :)
She read many fairy tales and Little Golden Books to me. Some of my favorites included The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Bunnysitter, The Runaway Pancake, Tubby Turtle, Three Billy Goats Gruff, Little Red Riding Hood, etc.
I just stumbled across your channel and you are quite enjoyable! I can see why you are a children's librarian as your book reading skills are spot on! I enjoyed your WIP'S! Off to watch your 2nd video!
Hi Laurel, I saw that you'd left me a comment but RUclips still won't let me reply. I don't know what I've done wrong with my settings. Anyway, I've finished the Patchwork Owls by Jardin Privé! 😁 It really was fun to stitch, more so because I used my random floss box, just picking a colour without having to look for numbers was liberating. I plan on doing that again some time. I'm looking forward to seeing your next video! Take care, hugs, Diane 😘
What a nice first video! Your stitching is so unique and beautiful. What area of Virginia are you living in now? I am a native Virginian. I grew up in the Tidewater area but I now live south of Charlottesville, right beside the Blue Ridge. I love Shenandoah National Park. Hope to see more videos. The Wolfie book was great too.
Hi Laurel, I can see your comment on my last video, but RUclips won't let me reply! Weird. Thank you for watching, I'm going to mail the designer of Purranormal Halloween and see if I can get a picture to show. It's a cute design with cats enjoying Halloween. Stitching on cheesecloth or cheese linen is easier than it looks, it really is tough stuff, just feels light. See you in your next flosstube! 😘
@@mountainlaurelstitches I just had an email from the designer, it should be in their webshop either today or tomorrow, so you don't have to wait if you want to see it. 🙀

Glad to see some different items being stitched for a change so many do samplers and I like to see what else is out there.
Thank you! 😊 I enjoy seeing samplers, but haven’t found one that I really want to put the effort into yet 🙃

Thanks, Susan! I live about an hour outside of DC now...a lot farther from the mountains! But I used to live in the JMU area.
