I'm pretty sure that was one of the current Billy's in the striped shirts. None of the old Billy's had microphones. He would have had to be VERY loud for anyone to pick up on it
Elliott Hanna and Zack Ankinson were possibly the best Billy and Michael combos ever! This is a great DVD I have it, available at Amazon, a must for any Billy Elliot fan!
Definitely!! Don't get me wrong I love Tom Holland but Elliott Hanna is my personal favourite, I saw it live on tour and the Billy them was amazing (anyone who can play Billy is amazingly talented!!!) but it wasn't Elliott. There's something about him which just makes him the perfect Billy (for me). And don't get me started on Zach, he has me cracking uo everytime I watch it, and in quarintine I'm watching it constantly 😅. Personally this is the best Billy cast I've ever seen. Chris Grahamson is friggin amazing!! He hasn't got half the credit he deserves, then again most the cast doesn't. I just love Billy Elliot 🤷😂.
@@Bitonic Yeah, I got to watch it om tour luckily (my friend played Tracey Atkinson so that was awesome) and I'm really upset cause I'm ag the right age to audition as a ballet dancer such as Debbie and by the time they bring it back (if they bring it back) I'll be too old. Then again I'll hopefully be old enough to pkay someone like Mrs. Wilkonson or maybe even the Grandma 🤷
And the DVD of the show is a Godsend. A brilliant cast at the top of their game. Without it, the show would mellow into a fading memory for those who saw it live. And the DVD is a permanent memorial and celebration of all those Billy’s who gave it their all.
When the Broadway Tour came through Pittsburgh, I saw it 3 times, with 3 different boys in the lead. What is really amazing, the lead has this kind of energy at the end of the show. It really doesn't matter who played the lead. All these boys are truly amazing.
The thing with the Billy Elliot role is it demands so many different talents that no matter how good any one Billy was there was always another Billy who sang better or was a better actor or was better at the ballet or the tap or was cuter or more suited to the role. The Billy I saw in Boston had outgrown the role and it ruined the whole show for me. Fortunately, I returned two nights later and saw a perfect performance by a perfect Billy -- Ben Cook. But was his "Electricity" as thrilling as Kiril Kulish's? No way! There's an Italian saying that "All comparisons are odious." It's never been truer than when comparing Billy Elliots. Having said that I can't imagine anyone was a better all-round Billy that Hanna; he dances with every part of his body including his eyebrows and he works the audience like an old Vaudevillian who's been in the business for 40 years. Thank God they put him on the Blur-Ray DVD of the show. He'll never be that cute again.
rearviewhsfutball14 true, I would love to see the performances of all the Billys😔 sadly I never saw the musical, because I was too young and I live in Germany. It would be so awesome if I could watch all the Billys on a DVD🙁
... GREAT THOUGHTS ... agree with everything, except your last sentence... _AS HE GROWS WITH HIS AGE_ Even cuteness can be see from many ankles, not only the one you are possibly having in mind by stating this!
The Billy’s gave so much of their lives to make an awesome long running musical. Some like Tom Holland kicked on to make show biz careers. All deserved to, having had on Y a brief two years as Billy.
I’ve been watching this over the years. I admire Liam. I’ve seen him in Swan Lake a few times over the years. I think he is phenomenal. I think Tom is in the striped polo shirt telling Liam it’s time for a new generation. I can hear his voice, even with the accent. And he’s the first of the four Billy’s at the end of the row. 9.40mins Watch the bow, when he comes back up you can see him clearly. Even when he calls the others on. I may be wrong. But he wouldn’t have long left the show when it was filmed. So I always thought it was him at those points. And waving at 10.07 Apologies if I’m wrong.
Anyone else notice Layton Williams disappears when the camera does a closeup of the bows? He's there during the wide shot then disappears then reappears when the camera goes back to the wide shot of all the Billys
That may be what it was because it happens with the fifth Billy in the line after Liam Mower but I didn't think they filmed an afternoon one? I just saw that he disappeared and got super confused
A live performance with the normal audience was filmed a couple of days earlier as it was going out live across UK cinemas, and they needed back up in case of breaks in the transmission on the day. Layton was on stage in a live ballet production, so did not make he first take. Small parts of the first take were inserted into the final DVD to remove technical errors, improve camera angles and jump cuts in the original live transmission.
Oliver Raendchen i think you'll find that they are the correct ones actually. The Billy Elliot Live DVD (which this IS) came out in 2014. The 10 year anniversary performance was in May 2015 (not to mention it wasnt Elliott Hanna that played Billy on the 10y Performance, and hes obviously the performer here). And i think being professionally recorded is a big enough reason to gather all the previously Billys, wouldnt you?
@@gillianb2352 yes, this is from Billy Elliot Live and not the 10 year anniversary, but Elliott Hanna was also in the 10 year anniversary show. There were 6 Billys for that show (3 who were about to leave the show or had just left, and 3 current/next ones). A different Billy would come on stage at different transitions. They did the same thing for the very last show at West End in 2016 - 3 Billys performed at different points in the show.
According to the credits at the end of the dvd, Rhys Yeomans was in the Special Billy Finale. Dean Charles Chapman isn't credited, so likely he wasn't there.

Tom's scream when he make his entrance in the Tap Dance 💖 This musical it's amazing and this two final dances are incredible

i love how even though tom has been so busy the last few years, he still does all of these reunions
this was before he got famous

True and it's the same with Matilda, but Ben Cook was amazing in Newsies as well!
@@influencer8757 True, but I've seen the older Hanna, and while he's handsome, he's nowhere near as cute as he was when playing Billy.

Great show

6:31 you can see Tom do a flip he's on the left to us but right side to them on stage he is the One At the back
Hope I helped.

This is Billy Elliot LIVE, not the 10th anniversary.
