I love Conan. He's always the exact same guy and doesn't flip flop trying different personalities. One of the true greats, even underappreciated frankly.
I think Conan is the funniest person on TV (or will be, when he returns). "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" achieved a greatness few other shows reach. The TBS show, on the other hand, did not serve him well.
Honestly, Letterman might have single-handedly saved Conan's Late Night Show. Critics were absolutely annihilating it and it was on a very short renewal schedule (I think I've heard Conan joke it was every 3 days)says. Letterman coming on the show early on and praising the comedy have it recognition that might never have been, and a reevaluation from critics. And it's obvious here that Letterman genuinely enjoys Conan's presence.
I'm very happy this new channel exists, but I'm sad to see they haven't properly deinterlaced the classic clips. The combing is very annoying. There also appears to be some smoothing filter that makes faces look airbrushed. Conan's classic clips on his channel are done great, deinterlaced and upscaled to 1080p, I'd take cues from that.
@@artonline01 Yeah... Well the new uploads seem to be properly deinterlaced and upscaled, so I guess they fixed the problem, hopefully they'll re-upload these first few clips.
@@QuantumBraced I am pretty sure that Dave personally talked to the editors but most importantly he let all of them touch his long white beard and made them all write top 10 lists for "people that speak English in a Swiss accent."
@@tinman5322 Oh you're right, I didn't make to the second half, it's borderline unwatchable. So they messed it up in all kinds of ways. Aren't these people supposed to be professionals, they don't seem to know the first thing about video processing.
Never in my life have I ever seen anyone with as much saliva being produced by their mouths as Conan. He was always constantly redistributing the saliva from one side of his mouth to the other, like it was a continual flow of uncontrollable liquid that had to be craftily managed by various odd tongue, cheek and lip maneuvers. It was excessive for the first 15 years and then slowly diminished, though it continued to the end. I will miss it.
I think he stopped earlier. I mean by the 1st set change on Late Night, in 1996. He also was always touching the skin behind his ear with his index and middle fingers, and putting his arm behind the chair in the interviews.
Great channel but a lot of these clips need to be properly deinterlaced/decombed. Jagged lines around everything that moves & "double exposure" frames every time the camera changes angle is a real distraction.

Yeah love him..... I don't think he is underappreciated though , just that he doesn't visibly seem to take those self-congratulatory ego trips
What hosts do that?

It's not often that Dave looks this excited when someone is telling a story. He's glued to Conan. The two best to ever do it.
Boy Conan brought out a gut busting laugh from letterman, that’s rare. Love these 2 the most
Craig did the same, but that felt more forced on Dave...
Dave liked him, especially that Conan's quick on his feet.
Without Letterman, there is no Conan.
Two Greats.
@Misinfotainment no u
@Misinfotainment Shut up the mooooouth!
Good to see Conan was never changed by fame.
Fame changes them all. Especially payouts of millions of dollars because you don’t want to air at midnight to do a cable show.
@@MTVCOPS It appears as though we've found one of 3 wild Leno fans
@@MTVCOPS Is this Leno?
@@MTVCOPS I love all your cars.
So, you mean Conan was always mediocre at his job?
Filmed almost 30 years ago and conan is still the exact the same person 🤣🤣🤣
The natural chemistry between these two is crazy.
You can just see the respect they have for each other without even saying it different era and just watchable time and time again.
I love how much Dave loves him

2 of my favs in one show man amazing to see
so, the president was a big fan of Conan's show? did he tell him why he was up that late that he happened to catch the show? 😂 😂
Funny how Conan's last interview with Dave also mentions a White House moment with his son.
He became like Stalin, as I recall

I was more annoyed by the weak audio that got even weaker for the second part.
They need to take some new resume's for editors.

Letterman is the goat of talk shows.
Two of the best.
i love how Conan's hair was never actually red. lol
Conan is the best
Two of the Greatest!!
Late night legends, of probably comparable caliber in their own unique respects
CONAN!!!
When nobody understood Conan's genius
Mr. Hank Aaron sure was right, Dave is Tops! So thankful for these great memories now on RUclips!
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL ❤️
KINGS
Conan being the 8ft giant that he is🤣
So this is where Conan picked up licking the pencil move.
i love them, god bless
Pure TV gold....
Good times
5:30 Conan's Clinton Impression 😂😂
Conando!
You see scanlines everytime there is motion. Is this like an old digital copy or something?
Biff Henderson! ❤️
When I saw him, I screamed out “Biff! I almost forgot about you!” Lol 🤍

This sounds like something Norm Macdonald would say

@@EtoCobra If only we could confront him personally with our years of observations as dedicated fans.
Okay but what we all want to know.. who was the model?
Nice Rich Hall mention. Funny guy. SNIGLET!
I get that the redheads stick together but I was always surprised Dave wasn't jealous about the sheer volume of hair on Conan's head.
Please, for the love of god, normalize the audio
Was Letterman ever on Conan Needs a Friend...
Yes go check out!
Great channel but a lot of these clips need to be properly deinterlaced/decombed. Jagged lines around everything that moves & "double exposure" frames every time the camera changes angle is a real distraction.
-Conan was the obvious choice to replace Letterman, not.. the other guy
I noticed there was something wrong with the video quality
It's called "being shot on videotape and then uprezzed".
Which supermodel was this being referred to?
I think it's Tatjana Patitz but can't find video of it. It might also be Veronica Webb or Suzy Amis but they are more than models.
IMHO the two best to to it.
Gonna need the name of said supermodel
I think it's Tatjana Patitz but can't find video of it. It might also be Veronica Webb or Suzy Amis but they are more than models.
Was this on CBS?
Yes
Conan's my favorite, but Dave's the GOAT. 🙂
Conan! Young and cocky :)
Wow, Conan use to be very handsome lol
Conan was a handsome young man, but of course he was well below my level of gorgiosity.
Donny Most is Jewish..
Old cottonmouth Conan
I love conan but his lip kissing in here is really annoying xD
That was a really interesting and thoughtful interview, before the days when Conan slipped into total boobery.
Weird to see Conan without the plastic surgery
He didn’t get plastic surgery, did he?
Conan should go to the outhouse, not the White House.
He is so overrated.................
Your idiocy is showing.
Conan was by far the worst of all the late show hosts
Nobodys biting eh?
The mystery of why people like you CHOOSE to be so such terrible people is continually baffling.
