How to Boot Asus Laptop from USB | Install Windows 10/11 (on Vivobook x510u)

I hope this helps somebody: I was trying to remove S mode from an Asus and thought that installing Windows again was the answer, which brought me to this video. But for me, there was no option for CSM or anything. In the end, removing S mode involved typing in "Windows Update" in the taskbar and then MANUALLY updating all the software that the laptop hadn't actually installed automatically. After this, the S mode disabler in the microsoft store worked ok.

CSM option is not available in Intel Coffee Lake processors, try disabling quick boot.

@@DigitalDope i gave up on installing windows on my crappy cheap asus, i read many forums and concluded taht it would not support anything past windows 10, or even windows 10 install. blessng in disguise actually, i found a work around that worked out better than planned and went back to linux with install of latest mint. thanks for the reply, keep up the great work.

I Got it. I had to disable the VMD in the Bios. Took me 5 hours of troubleshooting to figure it out.
