I have been using the PCA Pigment Bar, at your recommendation, and I LOVE it. I have hyperpigmentation that I just thought was extreme freckles, but have discovered that it is actually melasma that appeared during pregnancy and 3.5 years later it has not let up. The PCA bar has helped along with a few other products you have recommended. I used to think that sunscreen did not agree with my skin, but it was that US sunscreens don't agree with my skin. I have been loving Alturist, and Japanese Biore and Nivea sunscreens to help the melasma patches from darkening. Thank you for putting so much care into your videos helping to educate and protect out skin.

I picked up the PCA Pigment Bar months ago when you first reviewed it. I was skeptical of the added fragrance they used in it but I have had no issues at all from the product. It is in fact, one of my favourite products to use and really helped to lighten the sun damage I had on the side of my neck. I also purchased the gel a while later and love that too, it's expensive but I think I will continue to purchase it. It helps heal the breakouts faster and helps the redness go away quicker.
Thank you for covering this ingredient, enjoyed the video very much :).

I just went on amazon and searched kojic acid soap and koji San is one of the brands that will come up its orange in colour I would say its the best, you can find directions on how to use it on you tube but you basically you lather it up and put the lather on your skin from anything 30 seconds up to a minute, I did a skin patch test before I used it properly, then you rinse it off but it absorbs into your skin, you must moisturise and wear sunscreen it has a brightening lightening effect and can make your skin sensetive to perfumes so non perfumed skin care is best, I use my koji san 3 times a week 🙏

The Kojic Acid Soap works just fine and a whole lot cheaper. I use every 3 days leave on for a couple of minutes if that and wash off. Best brand is the Kojie San. You have to be patient. Results are not immediate. I did start seeing results several months later and other people noticed too. I highly recommend the Kojic Acid Soap.

If you’re using this ingredient in a specific area to treat that SPECIFIC patch of hyperpigmentation, using kojic acid will not affect your OVERALL production of melanin. Just remember that you shouldn’t be using a kojic acid product that has any more than 4% kojic acid! If you think about it logically however, if the kojic acid is being used to reduce hyperpigmentation it’s obviously inhibiting the work of your melanocytes, so yes it technically is affecting your production of melanin but in the specific area you put it on to treat.

I use kojic acid soap on my body and face, three times a week I am currently using tretanoin 0.025% at night I have only been using tretanoin for a month, I oukd see the benefits of the kojic soap a few days into usage I believe that Tretinoin retinol is a long term thing with results perhaps only noticeable after the first 12 weeks so far I have had no problems but I do use the tretanoin and moisturiser together until my skin has gotten used to the tretanoin then I will up the cream to a 0.05% slowly slowly catch the monkey!
