I already really liked this channel, but Rocko has made it “can’t miss content”
I agree, and with Rocko!!!
@@jephreaux that was basically what I was going to comment on. You took an incredible channel and somehow made it even better.
🎶Rockoooo’s modern liiiife🎶
Yes! Rocko is like icing on the cake.
I agree , What a beautiful little dog Rocko is 🐶🙂
She has taken to foresty and the way of life perfectly 👍
"Either that or I got the R. Kelly of dogs"
I just laughed for a straight minute 😂
Same 🤣🤣
Hahahahahaha!!!
Yep. Almost spit my water out. Hilarious.
The comment of the year😂
😂😂
Thanks for taking yourself to the doc, Foresty. We need you to take good care. (So does Rocko)
Hook him up to the Dyno. Nick. You would find the problem within 5 minutes.
He was healthy as an ox before getting the jab
wow... nick i had no idea you were a foresty fan!
@@freedomfreedom6544 did he get the jab?
@@shawnwalden2669 how do you think he was in the united states?
I love how Rocko waits at the camera until it's time to run to you. She's a natural!
It's important to take care of yourself too, even more so because you need to be in good health to take care of Rocko!
I'm here for the duration, so whatever pace of production is practical and healthy is fine for me
If you hang a little bell by the door and kick it when you let the dog out, Rocco will learn to ring the bell when she needs to go out.
That little Rocko is like a magnet, she keeps me coming back 😊
That little baby is too adorable. I just want to hug her and cuddle her!!!
I think Rocko will need winter gear and boots. My dad had a Rocko and he used second hand toddler snowsuits, modified using a sewing machine.😀
And Forrest is a natural at the sewing machine. It is a great idea!
Yes he needs fleeced booties and a coat for her. She is such a cutie.🥰♥️
I've seen people do tbat too. Great idea for FF's Rocko-girl
AGAIN, WOW‼️Canadian Landscape is BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS. BIG THANK YOU for SHARING Rocco’s and Your ADVENTURES. Most of US would NOT be able to ENJOY these FRONT ROW SEATS👍👍⬆️🐶😎‼️
The addition of Rocko has taken this channel to a whole ‘nother level.
I hope and pray that Rocko is going to be along for a very LONG lifetime of awesome adventuring. A real gift vs the poor dogs waiting for their owners to take them for a 5 minute walk around the block.
One of the things I really like about these videos is that there is no false bravado.
Just a rugged sincere person who isn't afraid to share real life.
Your channel is my favorite "van life" channel. No super glamorized, Instagram ready nonsense. Just great photography, outdoor adventures, delicious looking food, and a realistic representation of the logistics of living in a van.
Rocko is definitely a great addition, but man, I’m still missing the crockpot 😂🥲
Just a little advice Foresty. My buddy, 2 years back, when we were camping had his jack russel taken by an eagle. We couldn't do anything about it and never found a trace of his pup no matter how hard we looked. It was tragic. It can happen and suddenly. Be careful bud. Cheers!
Thank you for saying that. I live in a city and I have to be mindful of hawks with my 7 lb dog. That happened to an acquaintance's dog, a 6 lb Yorkie.
Coyote mountain lion or predator will grab that dog in a second.
Big owl would silently disappear with her.
I love seeing Rocko as a puppy and how well you’ve been taking care of her and building that strong bond ❤️ Props to you.
You MUST REST!!! Rocko came into your life for a reason, you having to take care of her has forced you to slow down when your body needed it most. You have been working hard for nearly a decade climbing these summits and not getting full uninterrupted sleep and it’s finally caught up with you. Pushing yourself into adrenal fatigue is absolutely not worth it. Even TV shows have long lapses between seasons as everyone needs a break. Don’t feel at all like you need to keep churning out content to keep subscribers, we will always be here. Check your thyroid, cortisol, and get plenty of sleep!!
Yes take whatever time it takes to take care of yourself but if it’s awhile just pop in and let us know you’re ok plz
Why hasn't he been getting full uninterrupted sleep? Because of having to wake up to stoke the fire/adjust heater? I assumed he slept pretty well in his set up
@@geniebison I’m not talking about this video but in general over the years he has mentioned having his sleep interrupted by people clearing snow from the roads, people blaring music, stoking the fire etc, it’s just generally not as easy to get a full nights rest.
He was fine until he had to get jabbed up to come to the states.
@@twowheelsdown2002 I've had 3 Pfizer's. No problems.
Nothing like forested mountains, snow and a cozy wood fire. And I'm an oat devotee.
“…or I got the R. Kelly of dogs”! Your deadpan delivery had me laughing!!😂😂😂
Dude, you’ve become a dad. You now have a fur baby, get ready for a lot of sacrifices and fun also. She’s adorable. So cute climbing all over you. Best of luck to both
Foresty has anyone ever told you how creative you are? I think it is great how you look after Rocko. Pretty sure you went far enough!! yes a good idea to go to the Drs and get checked out just to be on the safe side.
Rocko is just too adorable 🥰
Rocko is just too adorable, you look after her so well it’s heartwarming to watch. All dogs deserve a good life
Hope you feel better soon Foresty! Reminder - dogs have winter coats naturally. Give her time, she is still a baby. Yer a great Dad & learning as ya go - thank you for sharing yer awesomeness with us!
Wait what... Foresty Forest is a Sugar Daddy? 🤦♂️
Take care of yourself bud. Your viewers aren’t going anywhere 🤘
💯
Well Said.....
Awe…Rocko was a wittle baby!! ❤️❤️
I'm glad you're gonna go see a doc. I suspect a blood test will be very revealing. I suspect a vitamin deficiency or anemia may be the culprit. Fingers crossed it's a quick & easy fix
Might even just be long term covid symptoms. He mentioned he didn't feel the same after he caught it.
@@BeIlows his health took a turn as soon as he got the jab. He got COVID while “vaccinated”. You f00ls
@@BeIlows Very possible, I just hope it's not. From what I have read there is no real cure/treatment for that, you just have to ride it out. (I haven't kept up with treatments since I switched from patient care to administration, so I may be wrong) A vitamin def, or a case of anemia can be easily treated. Plus it's nice to have a definitive answer.
A vaccine injury is another possibility. The media isn't covering it, but it's happening. Far more than all vaccines combined, actually.
Great video, I love to see you execute caution. Always worry about you in the wilderness.
I am lying in bed watching you summit these incredible mountains. For the last year or so I have watched your beautiful filming and wished I could be there. It took me a bit to accept that I will never do this again (diagnosis MS). Now I am just incredibly grateful that you get me there one way or another. ❤️🤗
Not sure if this has been asked yet but Ever thought about having a Rocko-cam, for her adventures as well?
Haha ,good idea 👍😁
Word.
That will be good in the future ehen she develops i think. 👍
Or a collar. It could come in very handy in an emergency.
You’d get seasick watching it the way she runs around!
I love how protective you are of your little companion. Things you would just ignore for yourself become serious considerations when taking HER well being into account. Doggie love is good for your life!
so cool to see Rocko doing so well, developing endurance, and being comfortable in the mountains. Good luck with finding a good doc who can help!
Nothing wrong with daycare sometimes when you’re on a big hike. It allows you to do your thing and also allows her some time to socialize with other dogs. A win for everyone.
You are so right!
Sorry to hear your health isn’t improving like expected. Rocko is just too cute, and I love that she now has her very own summit counter! Happy Trails!
Its bad if he gets burned out doing too much of all to satisfy viewers over his health not worth it
Tank you for sharing, beautiful scenery. Your pup is adorable.
My dog loves watching your videos with me since you got Rocko. Her favorite channel is AB Camping. She has a crush on Bruce. But she loves watching Rocko, too!
Thanks Foresty, you are an inspiration to so many. The drone says “Uh, No”! Rocko says let’s go back and you say it’s not worth dying. Good call.
That is so cute the way you carry your pup in your pouch. Little angel Rocco😍
Love how you couldn’t resist sliding down the mountain!
That's how he gets down.
Most pups only get to slide down a playground slide or maybe a poolside slide, but Rocco gets to slide down a mountain! Puppy-luge!
Remember my tick warning when Rocko came aboard. With your health concerns, Lyme disease is a concern. Smart call to see a doctor.
It makes me so happy to see with your buddy sharing special moments together. Alone gets old after a while. xx bisous et calins de Montréal xxooxx
yes ...I agree...Rocco has added alot to Forest's daily, I am sure.
Omg! I can’t get over how cute your lil pooch is ..thanks for sharing!!
That meal you made really looked delicious! And that was quite a bone Rocko found!
Thank you for that beautiful climb and music and cute dog
Well earned summit on Mt Tegart for you both (the Rocko nose boop to make it official was great) . Rocko looks so totally at ease when in your pack or that front pouch you rigged up. You two look like you’re really thriving as a pair 👍. Happy for you man.
My family pioneered that valley, i definitly miss Invermere , windermere, Fairmont and radium Tegart mountain is named after my grandfathers grandfather. I have to hike it someday
"You are what you do. A man is defined by his action not his memories." -Kuato
😮
Forest, get some craft bells like Christmas Sleigh Bells, hang them at the door. Each time you take her out, take her nose and ring the bells, give her a treat, then let her out. She will learn to ring the bells to go out. Our cat even learned from the dogs. Hugs MT KIDS
this works
Oh My, . . . . so darn cute! As you start up the hike and Rocko's following, she stops for a moment & looks up at you as if to say "What? No backpack today Dad? Ahhh geeeesh, O.K. I'm comin'"
Forestry please make sure to get all the shots Rocko needs . Especially putting her in daycares. I think with the snow best to have a water proof jacket for her. Hoping you feel better soon.
Watching Rocko scampering madly either to the camera or away, just lifts the heart to happiness. Thank you for bringing this funny adorable doggie to the adventures!
Love Miss Rocko!
I was an avid hiker and mountain biker for almost three decades. I started to get tired and just couldn’t do it. Turned out I have Lupus and slowed me down more than 50%. Just enjoy what you can.
300,000 subscribers & 50,000 views. You and Rocco should be very proud!
You often travel in prime tick conditions. They carry disease as I’m sure you are aware. And an avalanche probe pole to probe those cornices. Great stuff!
Although BC tends to have more ticks, most of Canada is generally not near as bad as the States. However, with climate change, this season is worse than most. But yeah, if you have ever known anyone who has gotten Lyme disease it is horrible. Also, dogs get ticks really quick on a hike. Looks to me like Rocko's short hair will make it easy to spot them...
This is a possibility, he may have Lyme disease. I hope not but see what doc tells him if he gets his blood work pulled
Did this start happening when you were in the Moab, Utah, area? I noticed that you were drinking spring water there. You filtered the water, but some of those springs contain some pretty nasty dissolved minerals, like arsenic, selenium, uranium, etc. I hope not, but it could be heavy metal poisoning. Something to check.
My first thoughts were giardia or crypto. Some people have months or years long struggles with them that don’t present with the typical massive GI symptoms. Also some kind of tick borne illness. Unfortunately Lyme is rather hard to diagnose and doctors not on the eastern side of the us/Canada, may be quick to discount that because it’s not common at all out west.
@@jayhat a blood test will show if it's Lyme disease. I have it, and the blood test showed I had it for some time. Specific antibiotics have helped.. I'm talking months on high doses!
I love this channel because of rocco and your beautiful scenery!!! Stay safe and healthy!!!🇨🇦👍
Rocko is so so adorable!! Beautiful drone shots!! Hiking high altitudes can sometimes put you at risk for blood clots. Definitely get yourself checked out. 💚 Hiking and smiling Amazing. Lol.
9000 ft isn't high altitude by any stretch.
@@alan4sure high altitudes can be anything above 8,000 upto anything over a 14'r. Forest does quite a bit of high elevation hiking also in cold temps. Everyone is different. At least he knows enough to get checked no matter what it is.
@@GeminiJourney1111 I live in big mtns, so does Foresty, thousands of hikers in mtn areas routinely hike to 8,000-10000 ft just as a day hike. 8000 ft is not considered high elevation by anyone except uninformed non hikers living at sea level.
Brilliant from Ireland
Every time I see Rocko I just smile. Good girl!
as always Forest.= Time well spent with you.= NEVER OVER RIDE YOUR GUT FEELING!!!
Amazing episode, Foresty! And of course, Rocko steals the show :)
I used to watch for the food now I watch for the doggo too. She's so cute.
You can tell a lot by how a person treats animals and you're really special with her so I already knew you were a great person but this just confirms it.. you would make a great dad one day if that's what you wanted
"R Kelly of dogs"...bahaha to forest and Racko!❤
Happy Easter Sunday and I hope you are having a great day. Your latest posts have been on the spot. Thank you.
How dare you consider another dog other than Rocco! I love her.! She brings me so much joy. And she is the perfect dog for you as well.
Dogs hate the heat!! I think more so than they hate the cold. Great job as always.
rocko does make it now the videos i search for -- it's clear how much you both love each other; and I strongly believe she all ready has helped your over all heath....the power of the canine!
For such a feisty dog, Rocko rides so well his Quatl pouch.
He really owned that vicious cow skull too.
You are so correct. I sure didn't expect such an active breed/puppy to be so calm in her pouch that Simon carries her in. 😀👍
Rocks is a fiesty little girl. Yes, girl.
Rocko is the absolute funniest element ever. Loved your channel before, but Rocko brings an additional element!
Rocko will be in the Guinness book of world records as the first canine to summit 100 peaks
But seriously we’ve all been concerned because you’ve been at 80% for quite a while now and the smart thing to do is to go see a doctor and find out what’s going on
Seriously
We need you to come hang with us next year at Coachella 😎
Agreed. 80% has gone on too long. It may be something that is easily fixed with a course of antibiotic. Best to get checked out...
Thank you very much for your continuous efforts,,, you don’t have to force yourself to accomplish anything that you feel your not up to it,,🙏🙏🌷
I hope that your prognosis is good and that you and Rocko stay warm and safe. You are just a thoughtful and nurturing pop to that little girl. I knew you would be❤️.
this episode is great to rewatch for the drone guitar music and the deep plunge your legs have into the snow.
It was so cool to see Rocko's little head poking out of your jacket as you mountanier up a steep slope like that. Carry on the good work young man.
Lucky dog, napping on your belly during a snow hike. Thank you for sharing your time/positivity with us.
lolololol. The R. Kelly of dogs. 😂😂😂😂🤗💕
Outstanding aerial photography.
"Fortune favours the brave."
Happy travels guys.
I know a guy who loves to be the fist one, in the spring, to hike Tegart. Awesome that you beat him to it!
Rocko has a perfect personality for Foresty. This could easily be a TV show. Just to think Foresty does all this by himself. Bravo
Your Videos never disappoint. Good decision to see a Dr.
Another great adventure! I'm always so happy when you recognize the dangerous parts and stay away from them. Rocko seems to be such a good girl! I think you lucked out getting such a sweet little girl. I think she lucked out too! She's perfect for you!
seconds in you and Rocko stole our heart!
Go Rocko!! Thanks for the inspiration Foresty!
Rocko is why I subscribed. What can I say? She is adorable and a lot of fun! I thought how cool is that, a guy who chose a small cute and fun dog instead of a bigger dog. Rocko has it! 🐾 🐾
I think Rocko knows what a camera is, she seems very aware and a natural on film lol @ 4:00
Rocko
Riding the Foresty Forest Ride! 😃
Foresty, your first priority is your health!!! You'll still have your loyal fans even if you have to reduce your activity. Regarding Rocko, you might check with a vet to make sure feeding her human chow is safe since she's still a puppy! ❤🐶❤
Loved the Total Recall reference!!!
This was already my favorite channel and then comes Rocko . ❤❤
When you’re facing the camera, and Rocko is back behind you being her curious little self, could you have her tethered to you somehow. Like a chord that attaches to your waste and a harness (not collar) around her. It would be devastating for her to fall of the edge or get lost.❤️
Thanks so much for taking me on a hike in the valley and mountains that that I grew up on 60 years ago.
Ram Creek and White swan hotsprings so many memories ❤️👍✅
You've become a marsupial! I'm sure your pup enjoys the ride! Luv your stuff!!! I hope everything will be alright with you! You might have found a new norm! New limitations! Happens when you get older!!! Wait until you hit 70! At least you'll have vid's to remember how it was in the old days!!! PEACE BRO
Foresty's age isn't at the older diminuished fitness point at all. Mountaineers peak during their 40's typically, even into 50's. I know first hand and also from many others.
Looks like you're getting April Showers while mountaineering.
Welcome to Van Life in BC!
It warms you up a little too.

Your drone footage is superb - showing us a world we never otherwise would see....thank you so much, Foresty.
Foresty Forest is the GOAT!
I know I’ve said it many times but I’ll keep saying it, love your Videos bud! So happy for you that you got a little companion. Keep up the fantastic work sir 🤙
Those drone pictures of the mountains are excellent.
You have the gift of making people smile. That's an amazing thing to have.
When you tire of the u.t grind you have a great future. Your short films are creative, fresh and interesting. Thanks.
As usual, a most enjoyable video. Watch out as Rocko will become the star. Indeed, go to a doctor to make sue you are in good health.
this dog is going on one hell of an adventure!
