- Four different ways to cook inside a van! I've noticed the drone footage looks a little jittery sometimes. I am blaming the limitations of using iMovie, I will try to use Final Cut Pro for the next episode... hopefully things will look better!

Wow...the quality of this video mix is outstanding. The music, drone footage mixed in. Rocko adds an awesome layer. I watch quite a bit of RUclips videos of this genre.... This is by far showcases the Canadian back country. Well done and 2 thumbs up.
Hes the best one out there
True, I also thought that the editing of this episode was really good and indeed better than others... Foresty Forest continues to impress us :) thanks for that!
Agreed!!😎
I concur
I absolutely agree David Wingate. The piano music and stunning videography makes you feel like you are flying. Rocko and Foresty are an epic team!
Foresty Forest he lives in a van 🎶. Love it!!!
Foresty Forest he lives in a van. FORESTY FOREST!!
Those West Coast views though 👌
Thanks for taking us on your hike. Your meals always look delicious and I'm sure it's nice to come home to after the climb. Hello to that adorable Rocco!
Excellent points in the beginning. Van lifers are “extreme environment meal preparation specialists “.
Never realized the Canadian Rockies were so beautiful! What trooper Rocko is. That little pooch has changed your life! Packing her in is so cute! Super views, super video on the cooking too. Thanks Foresty!
I wonder if Foresty has ever considered taking one of those rolled up sleds with him so he can sled part of the way home? :)
Lol even a yoga mat. That would be a quick way to the bottom lol
I thought the very same thing before reading your post....makes perfect sense to me....lol.
I've twice used my body as a sled, wearing a cheap waterproof coat with my head facing downhill, and a dog on my chest enjoying the ride. 😊
*Do not try this on a steep gradient!*
He just needs to get into ski/splitboard touring so he can ride down in style!
I was wondering about him carrying a pair of downhill skis up there with him!
Sorry tablet problems.Let's talk about FOOD. Thank you for showing off your cooking skills, and your options to make meals. Stay safe and thrive on. Jerry Eagle Point Oregon.
sun goggles for Rocko. Definitely. Bright sun reflected off the snow and the higher angle sun of April could be really hard on the eyes, so bravo for getting her some sun protection!
You had a spectacular day for it. Love that blue sky!
Hey man glad you hear you got your engines going full speed again. Awesome footage and edit on the hike:) Best wishes from Norway
Good on you Foresty Forest for not using disposable butane canisters!!!
I’m so glad you are feeling better. Thanks for the mini kitchen tour.
Just some ideas to consider. With Mazamas in our Basic Climb Education School we talk a lot about using Vitamin I (ibuprofen). It is an anti-inflammatory so reduces soreness and swelling and gets you going again quicker. We always have sunscreen in our packs. You can get large bottles of it and squeeze it into small bottles to keep in your pack and keep you weight down. And when on snow be sure put it under your noise for the reflective light and get you ears and back of your neck covered. I would love to see you dump your current pack sometime and see what you are caring.
Thank you for all the hard work you put into all your spectacular videos, please be safe. Love 💗 Rocko!
Hello 👋dear, how are you doing?
Been following you since you were at 85k followers and still my favorite channel, never miss a video! Just gets better and better. Your edits are so good and Rocko is the sweetest addition
My van would like a hoarders after a gas explosion.
Forests natural tidyness and cleanliness calms my mind.
Another gorgeous vid.
Love ur videos bro that's coming from a dude from the hoods of Atlanta. Just love how peaceful ur videos are
My favorite nature traveler
.... and you did a fantastic job, kudos for the pleasure of watching you cook, now give ROCKO her share too!🐕👍🍻
Rocko is living an interesting life ! That's awesome !
Hey foresty
Loving your vids with the epic scenery as always, even better with the pooch 😁👍
Rocko is great 😁..
Watching from the UK 🇬🇧👌..
Ps ..I really need to learn how to cook ,grabbing fast food isnt ideal lol..
Fortunately I'm only a part time nomad 😁
This was great! Great day for fabulous footage.
I haven't scrolled all the comments, but maybe a small sled for Rocko would help you in open spaces, drag her instead of carry & you can stash when it gets gnarly.
Enjoy your dog. I just had mine put down yesterday.
Great to hear you're back to 100%
The intro song is back! Yes!!!
Yes!
Extra beautiful scenery in this one. Surprised there is that much snow and it's almost May.
A Forresty + Rocko classic!
Amazing video foresty!! don't strain yourself. you are a god!!!
EPIC VIDEO AS ALWAYS...This one has to be in the top 10 for visuals...who am I kidding....all are AMAZING!
Love the Foresty Forest song. Lol.
Beautiful scenery, looked like a sizeable hike, make sure you have a good days rest of chilling and refuelling before the next!
And sun glare on a wet road can be horrible, so can only imagine on snow/ice several thousand feet closer to the sun
Super cool Episode! Always wanted to know more about your cooking stuff!
Cool van. Praise God for this beautiful world
So glad that you are feeling close to normal. There were some scary shots of the trip down. Pretty steep. Thanks for the cooking methods. The multi cooker looks promising. Rocko is a trooper for sure. Look forward to each episode. Stay safe. Blessings
solar might be a good investment for those couple day stays, you'd need to park in sun though.
another option is a small inverter generator if you have the space
Great Video! Thank you for posting!
Excellent as always! 👍
Great video!
Love the time lapse portion as always! Such awesome views, thank you!! Great content
Yet another stunning summit for the team! Video is A1 in my books.
Joe Rogan is the Cliff Clavin of Podcast. Great video Foresty.
hope you have all your videos backed up for when you tube looses them all they going by by
Have to say this one made me nervous. Take care out there Foresty.
I'm from B.C. bud (get it, B.C. Bud)
This is so dope...pun intended!
Seriously though, such a beautiful view ; well done - ★★★★★
Glad you're feeling better. I was going to ask if you ever check your O2 levels at altitude as a possible indicator or health issues.
100Ah meal?
I wonder if Rocco will develop the fitness to walk up those mountains with you.
The check out lady once gave me the "oh so you buy food for 1 meal at a time comment and "look". funny how people categorize.
Can't wait to see the pupper in snow booties and goggles.
3180 meters. I wonder if altitude affects Roco??🐶🐾🐾
You hike, I like, this is the deal.
I hope I was partially responsible for the comeback of the theme song!
Wow...just wow!
I still miss Mr. Crockpot. :(
Me again. I meant to say I think u "over estimate' her energy level sometimrs a jr wants to please their owners and will go ttill they drop from exhaustion. Anyway keep on trucking!!!!😂❤
I can't find the video where Foresty explained what that teardrop shaped item hanging on the wall with the squiggly pattern inside is, anyone know?
SIMON PLEASE READ THIS!! YOU ARE MAKING A GRAVE MISTAKE!!!
Fresh cracked pepper will elevate your food game exponentially. Ground salt is kinda pointless unless your salt isn't dissolved in the dish. That is all. Sorry, not sorry for the caps.
Great video, you must burn so many calories wow.
Do you read the avalanche reports before a hike?
❤️
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
Rocko rules and I agree with others that the cinematography on this one is a home run! Enjoyed.
I love at the end, she's sleeping and Foresty is subconsciously petting her. That's true love which is actually just complete mutual trust .
Joe Rogan also suggests taking horse de-wormer for Covid, and he questions the moon-landing (never mind the fact that with a mediocre telescope you can see the lunar rover tire tracks).
A suggestion to maintain your subscriber base: never again mention "Joe Rogan".
He's an embarrassment to not only citizens of the US and fans of the UFC, but to people who understand the scientific method.
@@markjung2766 Thank you for saying that.
I would love to see an episode that goes into a little detail on the life you had before you started Van Life. What sort of ingredients and conditions breed a such a unique individual. Love your videos bud. Still rockin' my Foresty Forest Minivan Life shirt out here in New England. People who recognize it are always good people. Lookin forward to the next episode.
You should check his first cycling trecks videos as he would take time off factory work and go off grid. He then got a minivan to save rent money. The rest is history.
he was a street car conductor before his van life .
You have to start from the beginning, it’s worth it
That was back in the day when people thought you were a loser if you lived in your van
He used to be known as Simon Sapling, but he's grown so much since then 🌲🌲🚐🌲🌲
The jingle is back! Yeah being able to cook is super important. Keep it up man best wishes, Jay from Victoria BC 👍
The only Jack Russell in the world with an owner who has more energy then they do.
Haha.. So true! Can't wait to see Rocko in a pair of sun goggles.
@@nagualdesign he tried ..disaster 😄
Isn't that the truth. She'll never be bored sharing her life with Foresty.
Foresty, your music selections for this video was so relaxing. I got goosebumps. So beautiful. Thank you.❤
I'm so glad you're feeling better.😊
Agreed. I want to knowbthe artists.
@@werbnaright5012 the artist is Borrtex. Hope is a beautiful piece of music that Foresty used in his videos a while back.
oh and the song is called inclination :)
@@laceym4979 Thank you kindly for that information. ❤
@@laceym4979 Wow, just playing this now and it’s wonderful. Thanks for sharing will def add to my playlist.

Sometimes a "thumbs-up" just isn't enough. Very nice video!!
So true!
You are so right!
Great Climb. Trudging through deep wet snow , at such a steep incline plus caring your buddy to get up to 10,400 ft is no joke. Awesome job Foresty.
STUNNING. The trek, the 10k+ summit, the music, yummy eats, your enthusiasm, your dedication…thank YOU for showing us what LIVING life looks like. P.S. ROCKO!! 🐾🖤🔥 Wishing you safe adventures ahead. Cheers!!
Wow, the puppy dog is taking up more and more of Forest's lap! she's a growing girl! Woof!
Yay for Rocko's highest summit so far! She seems like such a happy pup. You are raising her well.
Pain: it is not good for you. It's an alarm system but the stress is damaging to your health so if the pain is bad enough you should take something. Furthermore, personally, if I can whck my back ache on day one, the muscles relax so much that there is no day two. Back pain makes more back pain. Joe Rogan isn't as smart as he plays it. Pain causes stress. Stress slows healing. Medicate moderately.
Holding a cute puppy while holding a camera while climbing a mountain.... Amazing! 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
So, you know what you're doing ... you've been doing it for some time, out there alone, ... So why I am I concerned for you and Rocko? ... Perhaps it's because, like many of your viewers, you have become part of our family. About cooking ... I'm learning a lot!
Damn. This is like a National Geographic special. Come for Rocko, stay for Foresty.
This is better than a National Geographic Special.
Warren Miller knew how to captivate the beauty. Foresty is talent! For sure right up there with the best!
They should hire Foresty.
Well it is nice SOMEONE finally publicized to the general public that remote, unknown, ignored part of North America to the World, called Western Canada. We do have some fame however, 2 successful Olympic Winter Games in Calgary and Vancouver in 1988 and 2010, Banff and Jasper National Parks are fairly well known as is Vancouver Island, but what F.F. does is show on YT all the mostly unknown regions beyond those, at 9:32 the high peaks are the Bugaboos, legendary as the birthplace of helicopter wilderness skiing in the early 1960's, it expanded throughout this region in the following decades, is often featured in ski movies and ski magazines world-wide, and is often considered the ultimate experience in the sport.
@@davidmarshall718 Not sure if yo'ur into snowmobiling /mountain sledding. Near Valemount, Revelstoke, Mcbride , and I can go on and on. These are world class Mountains to sled. Believe me its breathe taking.
Don't take medical advice from Joe Rogan.
Hi forest. Give rocko a hug for me
It's so nice watching the relationship between you and Rocko growing each day. That dog will be your faithful friend for life. 🥰
When you catch the angles of the climbs that show how fricking steep it actually is, with the other mountains in the background, it takes my breath away. I love to see Rocko scampering along with you.
Always stoked to see a new video pop up!
Love it when you include cooking. Love Love Rocko ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...great visual shots, cooking tips, car maintenance, outdoor gear suggestions, and rocko being rocko. Im in totally bliss everytime I get the notification 😊
Thank you for bringing such beauty to those of us who cannot travel. You are now a master at cinematography and producing. Two words: spectacular videos. Thankful to hear you feel you are getting back to 'yourself' and to accomplish what you just did it looks like you are. The Cooking and Equipment session was very informative and your set up is very well thought out for easy daily use. You and Rocko are an awesome team!
What a breathtaking view and feeling of magnificence you are giving one of the shortest of souls, with the Tallest of adventures & experiences! She really is a sweetheart and you have visibly seemed much happier with her in your life! Thanks for sharing Rocko & your adventures!
Just beautiful, stay safe and healthy you two
An Informative, tasty, adventurous with stunning scenery video!! 💡🏔🍲🐶
You got it All Foresty!! Sending Aloha from Kauai 🏝🥥🥭🦜
This info is perfect timing for me. Great layout and gives clarity to seasonal cooking options. I can see how valuable it is to have multiple cooking methods on board. It’s great to see The healthy cooking. Food is medicine.
The crockpot of blessed memory never even got a mention. How could Forestry forget the crockpot?
A lot of things were forgot about in the corona change over, medical sovereignty for one. Out with the old in with the new, brave new world. But the ninja foodie is slick little piece of kit.
@@legionjames1822 Super hard to clean, though.
Exactly! How soon we forget!
Great set up in your van 👏 many ways to cook .cozy warm comfortable. Great views Great area of o canada 🇨🇦. Thanks for another wonderful video keep them coming. Dog 🐕 has great life!!
Good show! Great climb!! Great meal!!! Outstanding companion!!!! Living the life😎
Thank you thank you. The mountains are spectacular Simon. No wonder you enjoy climbing them-what a magnificent view 🙏
Your van looks so tidy! Loving the lighting.
Honestly, I was a huge fan of the channel until you got the puppy, now im a super fan! Keep it up bro, you really helped motivate me to travel in the van myself, and iv had a great time doing it! Glad to tune back in and see the channel growth and the puppy!
Foresty forest, simply living Alaska and out door chef life are the best plateforms on RUclips in my opinion. As for you Foresty I hope your channel grows more and more. You are the reason why we see the true beauty of nature. Let's go Rocko!
Looking forward to each episode even more than normal now that Rocko is here.
Followed you since the factory days, what a journey it's been man!
Aren't you supposed to be out getting picturers of Spider Man?! Get outta here, Parker!!
Talk about taking control to live your best life! Well done!
I've followed since the bike days and every video is better than the last. I like Simon's new sidekick, she's going to be fun when she gets past that wild puppy phase!
Phew! That was scary! 😱🫣😬 glad you’re safe back at the van with Rocko the rocket 🚀!
Those drone shots never get old !!!
Fantastic view! Good job, Rocco on your (first) highest elevation!!
WOW! Freakin incredibleviews! 💕
Rocco is the cutest! 😍
Very nice video, I am very happy for you that you have Rocko. She is an awesome addition to your life. Thumbs UP man! 👍
