The tax on carbon is the weakest platform the anti oil climate freaks could possibly use. Plants can't survive without carbon and carbon dioxide and animals cannot survive without plants.

The Carbon tax is a PUNISHMENT TAX.
It is the lowest level "solution" for reducing carbon emmisions..
Another weakness I see in the carbon tax method is that it is NOT quantitative!
There is no measuring of emmisions "before" and "after".
It is a joke.
Give a person a hammer, they see the world in terms of nails.
Give a politician power to tax, they see all solution as tax centric!
Bottom line.

Carney is an economist who clearly understands monetary policy and macroeconomics. He also understands that taxing Canadians for their gasoline and home heating fuels does NOT prevent extreme weather events. Carney also knows that the Carbon tax bureaucracy is wasteful, and has inflationary effects that are directly NOT refunded to individuals and businesses. What Carney did NOT say is that the Liberals should balance their books and reduce the $1,3 trillion in accumulated debt that's costing Canadians over a billion dollars a week in interest payments alone.

@@ricoman7981 Because most of the others had already started reducing their emissions. If I got rid of all my coal plants five years earlier, I won't see that much of a reduction in later years. If all I have are natural gas plants, nuclear, hydro, solar and wind, it'll be harder to show a reduction of emissions.
