Just bought an 09 cayman base with 95K for 21 grand, has yours been reliable? I know you said its mechanically perfect, anything you think i should look out for?
Congrats, that's a pretty good price! The 9A1 engines in the 987.2 are very reliable, but still need to be maintained. Do you have any service records? If not, recommend you address the water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and plugs (hopefully they've been replaced at least once by now). Like me, you may have to replace the air-oil separator if you start seeing blue smoke on startups, but in general there's no major part that's known to go bad (e.g. IMS bearing). At that mileage, your suspension could use a refresh but that's not so much a reliability concern, just age doing its thing.
Very nice walk around and talk through historically. Love the car. Feel like I know it after reading all the threads and viewing the videos.
Well that's definitely the goal!
Wish I knew you were going to sell. 🙂
Well I'm currently selling my XJR (another video on my channel). Experts say a supercharged V8 is the best feeder engine to a NA flat 6. 😂
@@Kianski nice car!

Trim piece …
Can't underestimate the trim piece.
