You are easily one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I've learned so much from you channel and it has helped me make good decisions when buying lighting gear. Thank you!
@@FellowFilmmaker The Godox ML60 is probably my favorite light right now. It's so small and the carrying bag it comes with is awesome. I also plan to buy two TL60 lights eventually for fill and rim light (I was just waiting on you to review them first haha).

UPDATE (02/2022): The main two TL60 tubes I've been using have had issues with battery life. They now don't work on batteries at all and only on power supply. My attempt to see if it was a connection issue ended up permanently breaking the inner components. I recommend not taking them apart like myself, as they are now in the trash . As for the other two tubes in my kit, I'm not sure, since I was mainly only using two. I'd say not very recommendable as a whole even more so now with the batteries reading as dead even when they were fully charged. Note from before: just an FYI on the battery stuff I said: its actually more like 2 hours at full output and a 2+ hours for other intensities. Just wanted to correct that! :D
Yeah, adding a longer light to the mix would be awesome! These seam amazing but if the had a longer one then could offer a kit with a couple lights of each different size that would be so cool!
Tube lights are a future purchase. Probably after the holidays. I’m not sure yet which size would work best for me at this time. But the Godox lights are definitely at the top of my list. Another excellent video.
I agree whole-heartedly re: the length. I got my 4-pack from Adorama at a bargain price ($770) so I don't feel too much buyer's remorse, but I'd have preferred 2x 4' lights and 2x 1's in the kit.
I have suggested they make a "TL120", and I've seen similar comments from other filmamkers who review their stuff. The TL60s feel better in build quality than the TL30s. It is a shame they lack screw mounts, however. We hope to get a good 3D printer soon, so will be definitely looking at making some mounts.
Hey I'm actually early this time, so you might see it. You rock! thanks for all the help. I bought the szr150 godox for music videos cuz of your breakdown!
@@FellowFilmmaker thanks! I used it to fake out sunset for this video. It came out decent. I would love any feedback. Good luck with the channel. ruclips.net/video/VOjrHfFm3LA/видео.html
Nice review. Came here to find out if magnets are there. I can imagine that some magnets could be glued to supplied holders (or 3d print some). How is the battery with other two lights? Thank you!
Got mine today. The mounting clip is kinda weird and doesnt feel very "pro" but im going to lathe a spigot for them later. I wish Godox will make full length TLs in the future, and with that I mean as long as a real fluorescent light. Think I will enjoy these quite well. :) Nice video, had to check if there was some kind of other way to mount them woth the clips, thanks!
Another good review. Godox hardware looks amazing, but can't get past their control infrastructure. Newer model lights controlled by the new app, older but current models controlled by an old app that hasn't been updated in years. It's the single factor that has pushed me away from Godox and towards Aputure. :/
Thanks so much for this review! I am debating between buying the 2-light or 4-light kit for the TL60. We already have full studio lighting (4x Godox VL300, 2x Aputure 120dii), but would likely use these for adding color to product shoots, background practicals, or fill lights on run and gun shoots. Knowing that, would you recommend getting the 4-light kit still, or going with the 2-light kit and waiting to get two of the 4' versions of the Godox that come out in the future?
no problem, just want to be sure I understand! I don't own the LC500r, but from what it looks like they are similar enough but the LC is technically a bit brighter and has higher wattage output. I'm not sure if the answers it well enough, but hope it helps
@@FellowFilmmaker thankyou so much it is enough for me to know , actually i am student i am buying my first lighting setup to shoot music videos , do you have experience on Godox 200w mark 1 it's bit old but I am getting at very cheap price , is that fine light for keylight ? Thankyou
I have't used that one, if I recall tho it's got loud fans, but if that doesn't matter then it should be fine. If you want an affordable but bright option you could look at the Amaran series. I have the 200d from them and it's pretty good. Here's a link if you need it: amzn.to/3lOSlF7 They also have an amaran 100d that would be good as well :D
Just discovered this channel. Great review as I've been considering purchasing this for a while. Agree about length which is what's holding me back. Nanlite has a 4ft one so I wish Godox would release one also. Meanwhile, no way to rig two TL60's together to make them longer?

Can they be plugged in for unlimited use?
Thanks for this view and filming yourself being filmed while using them. That’s such a pet peeve of mine with light reviews.
More than happy it helped and is appreciated :D
When I decide to purchase a light, you are the best reviewer. Keep posting the good contents.
Thanks, will do!
Just found your channel after looking up these lights. Great video and definitely subscribed. Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you, and welcome! :D

That wireless remote is suuuppeerrr cool. I love it.

Nice! I will say the new nanlite pavotubes with pixel lighting seems pretty cool. Might be another consideration :P

I like seeing CRI percentages at differing Kelvin values and brightness levels. Thanks!

Haha, well I'm glad the video wasn't too long, otherwise you might pass out holding your breath for so long! :D
I'm glad we could agree! I'm hoping they have a longer one at some point. I know nanlites new 8' ones look interesting for sure

Yeah no magnets. And so far the other two are doing alright, so maybe I got two duds...

Agreed, not the best clip to have gone with
Those look really nice, but I too would love a 4 foot model. Please tell Godox. I like their brand and build quality. Would love to buy from them.
I let them know, we'll see what happens!

I can understand that! Ease of use is important.
Can they stand on the floor? Is there a floor tripod for them?
No floor tripod for these, no
Round out with a tl90 and the set would be complete. Though I wouldn’t mind a tl120 either 😁

Can you control all of them simultaneously with the remote?
Yes, if they are on the same channel :D

💥
:D
Can these be straight powered for an outlet?
They can be powered off an outlet, if that's what you're asking
In terms of intensity and wattage which is more good lcr500 or gl60
Could you clarify which ones you're referring to? I'm not sure if you misspelled so I want to be sure I understand your question

You can daisy chain them, and they come with the cables to do that. But no way to secure them to each other, so you'd have to 'line them up' of sorts
@@FellowFilmmaker Problem solved! Godox just launched TL120. Priced quite close to Nanlite's Pavotube though. Thanks for the reply by the way!
I can’t choose between 1 tl60 and 2 tl30 😭
You could just grab one of each :D
Oh hey, went to look these lights out and the first channel that pops up is the one that doesn’t like a damn thing she reviews
Hahaha! :D
why are you doing that???
Annoying thing about godox is how they pick and choose which lights come with a remote. The mobile app is atrocious!
Good point, I wonder if there is a reasoning at all for it
