    This is why I say "the next one" is my favorite VoicePlay song. They just keep upping the bar. We knew Layne was going to nail the drum solo but his arrangement is sheer brilliance. I love how he lets everyone take a spotlight. Kudos to their hidden member Ed Boyer for his genius at mixing too.

    • @JeffreyHackReacts

      Yes! Ed Boyer is a God at mixing A cappella music!

    • @marshayoung9387
      @marshayoung9387 Год назад

      @@JeffreyHackReacts let's not forget that either Layne or Geoff, whoever does the arrangement does the initial mixing & sends it off to Ed for the final mixing. You also interrupted Layne's drum solo & failed to mention how awesome he was, as always.

    Actually, that was their featured guest and former member J.None in the car and wearing the red jacket. Cesar is the one with the varsity jacket. Also, just for the record, the title of the song is _In_ The Air Tonight. And yes, it's an incredible performance! But you cut right into the middle of the single most iconic part of it (Layne's drum break, which he pulled off to perfection) twice and didn't even seem to notice 😭

    It is now my number one VoicePlay song, inching out Nothing Else Matters by a hair. I love (and can't believe) how outstanding their work is becoming. I can't wait to hear their next one. Same goes for Geoff's soloes...How lucky can we get. By the way, the 1972 Pontiac starring here belongs to Layne's dad who bought it new.

      @@JeffreyHackReacts thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. Please do a reaction video of Voice Plays cover
      " Peaches " ( Bowser, Mario, Luigi & Toad). Geoff really unleashes his inner Rock God in this one. Look out Eli, Geoff is coming for you lol. At the end one of Layne's daughters makes a cameo appearance as Peaches. It was originally done by Jack Black. Voice Plays did this live in the mall where Patty-cake studios is. It is short & another short one by Voice Play is their cover of " Your Man ". Because they are short you could do them both in one sitting if you would, please. All their shorts are done live in the same mall as Patty-cake studios.

    I'm already subscribed because I like your reaction style. TO be brutal, this wasn't one of your better reactions. If you're going to "name drop," you should know who is who. Another suggestion is to pause when you want to comment more than a brief word. You did it later in the reaction. It's a good idea to back up a few seconds after pausing and commenting (my opinion). On the UP side, you clearly know about the engineering and postproduction 'biz.' I almost always learn something from your reactions!

      I appreciate your honest criticism of this video. No video is going to be absolutely perfect, and I understand that I may make mistakes here and there. But recording these reactions is like "theatre", once you're in the moment, you can't redo that moment. The reason I sometimes talk over the song is because I'm reacting to copyright material and putting my voice over the music video makes it stand out as a commentary too.
      I'm glad that I've educated you and a lot of others on the post-production process of music. Thank you for your comment.

    I associate this song with the TV show Miami Vice as it was used in the sound track a lot. J.None is channeling Tubbs. Instead of another guy in pastels and three-day scruff for Crockett, they used neon pastels in the album art. Geoff said he's dressed like a character from an after school special. They apparently don't know anyone with a Ferrari so they borrowed the 1972 LeMans from Layne's dad, who's owned it since it was new. Layne's arrangement gave everyone a chance to shine.

    Great reaction Jeffrey.
    The fog in Cesar's clap was actually baby powder that cesar had in his hands when he clapped to make it look like fog.
    They do live event requests.
    They just did one several months ago at a private function in Naples Florida. 5 miles south of where they are in Orlando. With Ashley Diane in tow.
    I used to live in Naples several years so when they showed a picture of themselves outside I knew exactly where they were. The ritzy part of the city.

    The lyrics are about reconising the other as a deceiver-manipulator being reconize as such, and most likely to be expose ("I can feel it in the air tonight").
