I used to work for Sleep Number for sixteen years. I'm now retired and on disability. I used to sell a lot of beds to people with fibromyalgia. Now I have spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia and arthritis.
My biggest takeaway from working for and using the product is that I don't move hardly at all at night. No matter how much I hurt during the day, I can always sleep at night without pain and pressure build up.
Mistakes couples make when looking at mattresses. One or the other picks the firmness of the bed and the other one goes along to make the other happy.
What made sleep number beds so easy to sell for me was the adjustability of each side of the bed. No compromising. Some people change their beds depending on their pain level. I found that I sleep well at a sleep number setting of 40 and haven't changed it in the last 7 years.
I don't work for sleep number anymore, I just saw this review and decided to comment.

I would love to see a video of the iLE split top up close. This is something a lot of people can't get footage of because the stores don't carry it. I was looking on TIKTOK as well. Because the gap on the Climate360 is too drastic for my husband and I to sleep on. We had to pass. Now we are deciding on the i8 or the iLe because the cushion inbetween that split does not look too bad. I don't want it to separate us too much. lol
Hi I understand what you mean lol the split top is what we have and should be available in that model! I love mine! The only other bed I’ve had ( since back surgery) that’s even close was the beauty rest black.

Great video. My wife and I are on week one with our new Sleep Number. A learning curve but so far it’s been outstanding. I think everyone who invests in one of these beds needs to really learn how they work in detail. I am fascinated on the options. How do you like your bed now…..3 months later
Originally I bought a select comfort king size bed in the late 1990s. I purchased the bed and frame and, reluctantly (only option) had it shipped to me and installed it myself. My wife and I loved it. She got it in the divorce:( It made little difference since I was a truck driver and basically lived in my truck 24/7.
Fast forward to my retirement. 5 years ago, I purchased a twin size Sleep number mattress. Again shipped to me and I self installed.
Now 5 years later I am having issues with my air chamber losing air. I contact support and find my bed came with a 25 year limited warranty. After going over the bed I decided that I needed a new air chamber, hose(starting to crack) and foam(losing shape). Those three items, after only 5 years of a 25 year warranty, will cost me another $300.00. The whole bed only cost me $700.00.
So, I decided to upgrade to a Twin XL since my adjustable frame was designed for an XL. I inquired about an upgrade. Basically I can get a C2 Smart bed Twin XL for $799.00. Not that different from what I paid for my current bed, considering inflation. Only this one just has a 15 year warranty. Hmmmm
I wonder why they shortened the warranty?
Next the give me a quote. $799 for the bed(not bad), $159.80 sale discount(good deal), $249 delivery and premium setup fee(WHAT??????) $86.60 tax for a total of $974.80.(well, it's under a grand)
I asked about waiving the Delivery and Premium Setup fee since I had never had them setup my bed before. After all it is not rocket science. I'm 73 and have been moving beds all my life. 50 years ago I sold and installed water beds. I know how to set up a bed. I even explained to them that I let NO ONE into my house, especially not the bedroom for safety and security reasons. Well forget that. The fee is mandatory.
My decision was that Select Comfort/Sleep Number just lost a long time customer. The MOST I will do now is fix my current bed under warranty. After all, at 73 how much longer will I need it?
Plain and Simple fact, I do not trust these companies to come in and "case" my home.
My delivery guys didn’t put booties on and left my carpet dirty in one spot. Their hands were dirty too and dirtied the mattress cover too.

Never will I ever have another sleep number nor recommend one to anybody. I have one and my mom has one and we have both had major issues and NO help from warranty. My moms bed had foam issues within 6 months then started leaking down within 2 years and they wanted almost $500 to replace the foam and $700 for air bags. So much for that warranty. Mine had foam issues within a year and they told me over $500 to replace the foam so both my bed and my moms has been trashed and lesson learned but sadly money wasted. Also the smell of them never goes away and they won't do anything.

For the money they want for these, there shouldn't ever be an issue with customer service. Im pretty impatient, and the thought of going through more than 1 service rep to fix an issue has got me questioning a purchase. My wife is all in, for now that is. We've been through 2 beds within the last 10 years, both 2000 or more. So, going forward, im want to be 100 percent sure before spending another fortune on a bed. The only thing really holding me back, like I said, is customer service. Thanks for the review

We bought one. Terrible idea. We were told we could return the mattress within 100 days if not satisfied. After 5 times of having the service techs out they could not fix the issues. They refused to come out any more. They could not solve our issues. They would only refund the cost of the bladder which was about $150. So I have had to build a new system on our own. Still wish we had our old bed back.
I had a TERRIBLE customer experience after ordering my bed. They missed their delivery window without any notice and just rescheduled me 12 days out. After going through several customer service reps I am at my wits end. Going to take a day and debate with my spouse if I need to cancel this deal entirely. Reading the other reviews here I am starting to lean in that direction.

I was really excited to look into buying a sleep number bed but after calling and speaking with my local sleep number store I found that the best deal they could do was the Martin Luther King sale that only offered 1200.00 of the total purchase price. So an i10 for 10k (1/2 slip mattress/base/and delivery & setup) is a bit steep and I will keep looking.

Thanks for the extensive review, as me and my wife are heading to a Sleep Number store today. We both have been experiencing lower back issues and had the same mattress for twenty years. We added a topper a couple of times so as to expand our time with our mattress. But thinking about the fact that 1/3 of our life is spent sleeping, this would be a good investment.... My main question is my pets, I guess I will get my answers at the store.

How often do you have to put air in the mattress? Does it stay the same every night?
The mattress has a feature that replenishes the air back itself it adjusts back to your sleep number when you are in bed.
Can you do a video on making the bed. I’m having problems with wrinkle sheets. I also have a sleep number. No more back pain. I wish I knew about the taxes.

I just purchased mine and am waiting on delivery. I didnt get the adjustable frame but I hope the adjustable firmness will help with my lower back pain. I know it isnt a cure all, just need pressure relief to encourage healing. I have a 400 dollar mattress currently so I hope this mattress improves quality of life in the long run. But I have 100 days to make that determination which is great. Awesome video! Thanks for all the useful information!

Thanks for the informative review! For price adjustment: if you financed through sleep number, is it true that they would have to cancel the original order and redo it? They are offering free delivery right now which I didn’t have with my original order but now financing is 24 months instead of 36 months so we would lose out on original finance terms.
I did not have to do that customer service was able to adjust it

Hmmm we are purchasing this week and I’m in the ATL metro area…..after we watched your video, I called and asked them about the taxes being removed if I can bring the letter, and was told emphatically NO that taxes can’t be removed. I just had major back surgery and have documented lumbar issues but the people working at SN said this was not possible as they have to collect state, city and county taxes.
Can you give any suggestions on how to get them to honor this for me? My rep has been with the company 15 years and swears that he has never heard of this.
I would contact customer service and let them know your situation. I am in the Central Florida area and my sales rep had no issues contacting customer service with additional questions so I have them call while in store to get more clarity. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Right I'm in Cincinnati and after watching this video I called my doctor's office and ask about getting a note and the girl answered the phone ask me what I want him to write in the note and that she really think this issue is for your insurance company to deal with. She was over talking. Got on my nerves 😅

Great review! We are doing some changes in our home and for our bedroom I’ve been wanting one of these. Our current mattress was amazing, it was perfect for both of us, but it’s time for an upgrade as well. If they still made my mattress, I would probably have just purchased another one 😂 It was that comfortable for 16 years. I’m happy you were able to get this bed, pain that stops you from getting a good nights rest is the worst!!! 🙏🏽🥰

If you work for customer service for sleep number you're an ahole customer service is completely arrogant liars
Had problems with the sleep number customer service lied to me all the way down-the-line they kept me going until the 30 days was up so I couldn't return it...
Customer service forced me to keep the bed for 30 days and they made rude comments about who was sleeping in the bed and sexual activity in the bed because they can see everything through the app
Select comfort spies on your sex life in the bed they know who's doing what when and where

They will move it into another room but will only hall it off for like $200
A con is not being able to return the frame if you decide you don’t want the bed.

Blue booties? They think they are going to catch something from my floor? HOW RUDE!
You don't mention firmness. I need a mattress that is HARD AS A ROCK. Just like the floor. When I sleep on the floor, the different parts of my back that hurt seem to go back to where they belong. The next day I feel great. My partner on the other hand wants a soft as a kitten mattress. I am worried the adjustable won't be all that adjustable. We need rock hard and very soft on the two different sides. I don't care about taxes, pillows or lights. I need sleep.
The booties are to protect your carpet from dirty shoes...ffs
@@Jmeinema1 They guys who delivered our second bed (first one wasn't soft enough for my boyfriend) smelled like marijuana and didn't have blue booties. I am OK with that except driving while high is not a good idea. The blue booties are truely offensive. I don't have bugs in my carpet. Their shoes are not going to pick up eggs and transfer eggs and a new generation of bugs to their home. I am not one of these weirdos who makes guests of any type take off their shoes!
The second bed with the memory foam was a good compromise. I don't know the model number but its the only memory foam one they sell. So that, whatever it is.
