Very interesting piece. This was just recommended to me by a good Russian friend, Galina, who lives in France, like me.
What is so interesting is that one can hear many different influences: Gerschwin, Barber, some Hollywood strings, and also Rachmaninov. Thank you so much for sharing, and it's great to be able to follow the score at the same time. Ah my God, the Russian school of piano is just about the finest in the world. I enjoyed this very much.
Dasvidanya.
Also perhaps Greig piano concerto ,and Shostakovich later in the work
Recent discovery, never heard of him, Tsfasman, so delicate and fairy-tale like this jazz. It is beautiful!
Замечательный компазитор.Сколько песен.Очаровательной музыки . спасибо большое.Музыка в памяти.Мы о нем помним
Wat een ontdekking! Nog nooit van deze componist gehoord. Prachtig ritme, zeer boeiend muziekstuk.

Exelente
Brilliant!
1:25 reminds me of rach pc4
Interesting that Pletnev (the conductor) also has performed this piece as pianist! In a more gentle, super-fluent style, characteristic of Pletnev.
Fats Waller, Russian Fantasy, 1935 !
Anyone know who publishes the score and parts?
Too fast ! Really prefer the version by Agafia Korzun !
