Adult Swim's Night of Failed Pilots

This year, [as] turned 21. There are many to thank for its rise to power, but there are many more that didn't quite make it. The pilots left on the cutting room floor can tell you a lot about the culture of the block. It's just as important to the legacy of [as] as Aqua Teen or Rick and Morty would be. From the vault of Williams Street and Cartoon Network Studios, we're taking a look at the concepts over the years that didn't stick.
The funny thing about Cheyenne Cinnamon is like how much they were subtly promoting it in their shows on the air at the time, especially Squidbillies.
Like the characters would be watching TV and on the TV would be Cheyenne Cinnamon, and this was on a few different occasions.
Adult Swim is one of the best homes of adult animation to this day, and the reason for this is their embracement of creativity, allowing almost anything on the table, and while these shows never saw the light of day, it’s nice to know they were at least given some attention to even have a pilot.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s still lots of things I love from them like Rick and Morty, Primal and Smiling Friends, and I hope to see many great things from them.

This was such a good video! Really didn't know much about the history of Adult Swim before this, but man there were so many good choices they could have picked up. Now with this I'm very curious about the future of the block.

KORGOTH! The whole reason I started watching this video, I've seen that one multiple times and shown it off to my dnd friends multiple times.
I haven't seen or even heard of any of these pilots except korgoth. Wow.
I guess I'd be willing to try your blue ones at the end: Let's Fish, Ellington, Saddle Rash, The Hindenburg Explodes, Penguins Behind Bars, Freestyle Love Supreme, Captain Sturdy.
I'm a little disappointed you didn't go into more depth with the pilots. I get that you covered 30 pilots in 30 minutes though, good on you.
I guess in a future video I'd love to hear about you stepping through the eras, and hearing about the production of the pilots that would go on to make successful shows.
Holy crap I forgot about the Finkel Files until just now. I remember a line of dialogue from it, "I wanna be a musician." Other character: "No you don't. Because that's...because that's gay."

That Crook'd Sipp was one of my favorite Adult Swim pilots. It's a less chaotic Squidbillies with more blue comedy.

Ngl, if I had to pick 2 of em, it would be Korgoth & Cheyenne Cinnamon they had higher hopes.
you know other shows that failed poorly doesn't deserve to be canned at all animators wanted to do something creative that's all put some Creative Ideas and do something imaginary and I would appreciate this adult swim is that type animation industry that isn't a fear to be weird or wacky and offensive just like Morty and Rick it was popular because it give some of sci Fi vibes and satire giving us some laughs and be very creative and I would be inspired by it not being unshamed for it being original matters as always when you're animator.
I actually really liked the MacBeth With Dinosaurs pilot probably because of the same thing; it's just so unusually fast-paced and energetic compared to the more slower feel of AS shows. I recall laughing a lot at it, so it's more of a soft spot for me, I guess.

I was really into this, Until you whent on and on about the live action crap. Its made to fill empty space, confuse old people and mostly waste till till they can crap out another animation that might be worth watching
