Hi my name is Leah from South Africa. Watching your channel is giving me energy to take care of my family. Thank you ❤
Wow thanks for watching Leah 🇿🇦 xx
I have followed for the last 6 years and I just want you to know that your videos are highly valuable.
You have been a huge blessing to me and I have grown immensely just by watching you.
May the lord continue expanding your territories.
Mary from Kenya in Africa
Hi Emily- yes the worries change and shift focus as our kiddos get older. You worry about social things, exams, peer pressure or them dealing with bad attitudes or behaviours around them. You just want to protect them from any nastiness. You and Matt are doing a brilliant job (so nice to see Matt’s mug for a bit 😊). Thought for the next time your in the sound booth, would it be possible to have Kiki in the booth when you’re doing the audio next time?.... Loved the mini vac, just the thing for when the chia seeds escape in the draw 😊💕
Teenage years are really really hard and I think you don’t have the support like you do when they are babies. The problem get harder and the worry gets bigger because you lose control of what they are doing or who they spend time with, Iv come through the other side now thankfully 😊
Hi Emily! I just want to tell you that I absolutely love your channel and I’ve been following it for quite awhile now :) I have your book, and it’s fantastic and super helpful! You truly inspire me and motivate me :) I wanted to tell you, as I used to have panic attacks, that something I found helpful was 1) self-talk, letting yourself know that it’s very normal and a lot of people have panic attacks from time to time and 2) reminding yourself that you can always leave the space you’re in, that you’re not tied in to where you are. If I find myself getting ansy in small confined spaces, I just remind myself that I can leave to “go to the bathroom” (when I don’t actually have to lol) to get some space. I don’t feel bad about it at all. I was in the middle of getting a cavity filled at the dentist when I interrupted and said I needed to use the bathroom LOL You gotta do what you gotta do! Thanks Emily for being such a real and relatable person on your channel! ❤️
Wow love this, thanks for all of your support it means the world xx
Love from Trinidad and Tobago. I tune in for my weekly motivation.
Great video always Emily! Always so relatable and honest ❤super thanks always so inspiring & motivating!
Something I learned through therapy that has helped with my anxieties, is to focus on the physical sensation you feel rather than the worry or thoughts or anxieties that you have in detail. When you bring your focus to your physical sensations, it draws your thoughts away from what’s making you anxious and helps you get over the hump of that panic attack or an anxiety attack.
wow thank you. Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily, I’m right there with you, I am having some symptoms although my OB said even if I don’t test that way she said my diagnosis of PMDD might be perimenopause 😢 I have bad panic attacks and anxiety, it’s actually why I started this channel 5 years ago, I talk a lot about my experiences. My husband doesn’t understand it at all, and it’s been hard! Wish we could sit down and just talk about it. If you haven’t ever experienced an attack you just don’t understand and most of my friends are younger so they just think I’m old lol. Sending much love from the US!! ❤
Hi Emily, really enjoyed your video, its such a motivator for me to get things done. So sorry to hear about your panic attacks, I get them usually when I'm nervous, worried or really excited. The sound of rain helps me, I switch off the tv, move all social devices far away and play the sound of rain in the distance. It's so relaxing and calming 😌 . I hope this helps your nerves to calm down ❤
Thanks for watching xx
We saw a motivational speaker on Monday and he does a few things before speaking to calm his nerves. He had a small handcream that the smell helps him calm down. When he starts feeling panicky he just brings the back of his hand up to his nose and inhales it. I thought that was so clever
Love these day in the life vlogs. What is that beautiful nail polish you have on Emily please?
Hi Emily. Watching you from Aruba 🇦🇼 been subscribed since I was pregnant with my son, he's turning 7 this year. You've been an inspiration all these years. Thank you ❤
I met the CEO of Skin & Me in an elevator in London earlier this month and we got talking and I was asked how I learnt about the company. I mentioned it was from you. They wrote your name down and thanked me for using it and said they were happy I shared that it was you I learnt about it from. ❤
Oh wow this is so interesting, thank you for mentioning me - it really is great 🥰
Hi Emily, I’ve been following your channel for years and I also am a mum of boys. I have tweens and young teens. You’re saying all the things I felt a few years ago and still feel about parenting not getting any easier. I feel in fact it gets more difficult to navigate. It is physically easier, but dealing with emotional issues is a whole new ball game. I look forward to following your content. I totally hear you on the boys’ later bedtime and not having that adult time in the evenings! My 15 year old goes to bed later than us at weekends now! We are in the process of designing a teen den for them by converting our single detached garage into a safe hangout for the older boys. Xxx
Hello Emily! I love you so much and your videos have been such an inspiration to me❤
Rescue Remedy is really good for those high anxiety moments ❤ they do gummies or drops. When I had to read a tribute at my parents funeral I was in such a state leading up to the day. I spent hours reading my tribute out aloud over and over again and regulating my breathing to help me get into a rhythm of reading. I concentrated on the punctuation. Pausing at comas and remembering to breathe in longer and slower at full stops. Think of it like reading a story to your children. ❤
Rescue remedy is only for those with mildest of symptoms. It’s very mild but good they work for you. Emily’s panic sounds mild too so might work
❤ absolutely loved this video! Thank you so much, Emily! ❤ sorry to hear about your panic attack, that must’ve been quite scary! I suffer from anxiety and I’m 40, what I would say, been experiencing some symptoms of perimenopause for at least three years. My cycle has changed, mood swings, anxiety, overthinking, really painful cramps etc I do find that taking some deep and long belly breaths can help. I also meditate daily, even only five minutes with a guided meditation seems to help me overall. I try to do some yoga that also helps me calm my nervous system.
Regarding the boys, I totally understand and feel the same way as you. I find two that the problems can last a bit longer and drag on a little bit. 💙
Teens - gotta love them. I think after a rocky start I am finally getting the hang of mine (only took me 3 years) - well for now - who knows what the next 4 years will bring.
On the perimenopause, my first symptoms were agitation and anxiety when I’m usually quite chilled. Alsonitritability and anger which doesn’t feel like me at all. I’m 44 and on HRT, life saving! My bloods also said pre-meno but bloods are not reliable or indicated due to daily fluctuations. Thanks for another lovely video. Noticed the Emily song too as I too have a little Emily. X
Love to watch your videos. I saw your wedding video today, you look better today, it´s like you don't age :)
Hey Emily, I've been following you for a long time now. I have the same experience with my son who is 15. A teenager/in his puberty. His going to bed later really affects my goodnight sleep. Some things get easier some things harder like emotionally with finding their place in this crazy world we live in and the pressure and stress of school like you mentioned. We do the best we can.Take care and much love. You have a beautiful family. God bless you. 🙏☀️❤
Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily loved this video,so much of which I can relate to .My sons are now 38 and nearly 37,ones married with a newborn son other one gets married in November. The hardest times for me were when they started driving.we were upstairs in our chalet bungalow and the boys rooms were downstairs.I made them promise me that when they went out they left their doors open which meant if I looked down and saw the doors shut I knew the were home and only then would I go to sleep. Also I had anxiety attacks when I hit the menopause and they stared again 7 weeks ago when my lovely mum passed away.I hope you will find a way past them.I love your channel.xx
Great video which reminds me to clean my fridge out 😂
Love watching your cleaning and organising videos🥰. Looking forward to see where you're going on your holidays and for the holiday content! Sorry to hear about your panic attack, sending lots of love. I'm sure you'll smash it next time💪🏻xx
Looking forward to making the holiday content! Thanks for watching Chloe xx
I used to get terrible panic attacks and they really are awful,I feel for you, I was advised to wear a rubber band on my wrist ,and whenever panic started I used to ping the band and tell myself all is well ,I’m ok and safe ,and I have to say it did work ! Even though it’s sounds crazy! my kids are all older ,one lives with girlfriend, the other is the oldest and travels with work over seas ,so always comes home regularly! And my youngest is at university studying to be paediatric nurse ,so is home regularly and intends to live at home permanently when she is finished at uni,I’ve always believed your kids need you more once they start senior school and onwards ,we need them when they are babies etc,I was a air stewardess working long haul flights and other mums slated and judged me all the time for being away over night etc,but when they all went back to work when there kids got older I reduced my hours drastically,so I was there for them when they most needed me, enjoy every moment of their teenage years with their friends as well ,my house and garden was the social gathering place for the kids instead of them being on the streets ,and I enjoyed every moment and am still in touch with so many of my daughters friends, your doing an amazing job both you and your husband ,I love your vloggs ,sorry for such long post ,I watch but don’t normally make comments x
I use the band method too, I use it at work as can’t usually leave the environment
Oh wow Sarah, thank you for taking the time to share all of this. Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily hope you are well❤❤ love to watch your videos and love the songs❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish I could give you a hug!!! I’ve definitely had a moment or 2 of panic but know you can do this!! ❤ you and thank you for sharing with us! 😊
🤗 Thanks for watching Leah xx
I enjoyed every second ❤ and you r so right about the kids when they are growing up... 😂😊
Hi Emily, hope you're well. I have been watching you for years and I never comment but I hope this helps...I suffer from panic attacks, I have now for quite a while. I have 3 kids under 6. I started having them nearly 2 years ago just before my Dad passed away from Cancer. I struggle daily. I go to a healer when I can & she takes all that panic away. Look into reflexology / healer in your area, try meditations and breathing exercises are so important. Just by breathing properly can help. I also find the shower grounds me too. Hope this helps. They're absolutely terrifying. Wishing you well xx
Lovely vlog Emily , sorry to hear about your panick attack but glad you're okay now ....for sure harder as the kids get older & needs much greater ....I miss them little boys running around the house not a care in the world .....❤ thank you Emily
Hi Emily, I am just watching this and I think I have a good recommmendation regarding time before menopause. I am 43 now and had similar experiences as you (sudden panick attacks…) some years ago. What really helped me was the Book „In the flow“ from Alisa Vitti. For me it came down to follow a cyclic diet and avoid coffee. But there is so much more in the book. Hope this helps. Good luck and Thank your for the Great Content.
your positive energy is contageous❤
🥰 Thanks for watching xx
I like the "Emily" song in the background! What a genuine and motivating video
I know, so cute 🥰 Thanks for watching Sara xx
Hi Emily❤great video content! I recently watched Amy Landino on RUclips and she recorded her audible book in her house in a small space and used bits of things to make to sound like a soft box or a real studio. Just thought you should try it out and be comfortable then the panic attacks won’t appear! Keep on making amazing content ❤🫶
The goal posts keep moving and you'll always worry however old they are! Wait till they learn to drive! Then coming home in the early hours, you won't sleep till you hear that key in the door! But I wouldn't want change a thing. 🥰💕
Or when they go out drinking and don’t answer your calls and text 😩😩
Don't Jane!! I cannot cope! Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily! I'm a new subscriber and a 43 married mom of 2 living in the northeast US. I had to laugh when you were talking about teen problems being harder and problems when kids are small being solved by a snack and a nap. My oldest is 16 and the hardest thing is figuring out that I cannot solve her problems for her. But I can be there with a snack, hug (or a reminder to rest and not be so hard on herself). Lots of things change.. but some are the just the same. Also, right there with you on wondering if everything is perimenopause!!!
I would really recommend listening to the Disordered podcast, it really helped me with my anxiety / dealing with panic attacks :)
Thank you for the discount I got my first order for skin and me can't wait to try it ❤❤❤
Oh wow exciting Danielle! Thanks for watching xx
I enjoy your get it all done videos!
So does Matt 😂 Thanks for watching xx
Rescue remedy is good and easy to take without anyone really noticing :) and cold water to drink always helps me.
Thanks for the tip Hayley 🥰 Thanks for watching xx
Apologies if this is too personal. Please ignore if you wish. Even if you and/or your GP think you are perimenopausal please make sure they do a FBC and check all your vitamin levels (iron, B12, vitamin D etc) as well as your thyroid hormone levels etc. There are a lot of deficiencies etc out there that are very similar in their symptoms to the perimenopause. It helps you rule things out and concentrate on working on things that will support you through the interesting journey that is the Menopause.
Thanks for the info x
As someone who has never had anxiety in my life, peri menopause brought it in with a force! I can't even pinpoint what triggers it but small spaces and feeling overwhelmed definitely are triggers. It's such a horrible feeling! I hope you get through the second taping anxiety free!
Ah thank you. Thanks for watching xx
Talking about my anxieties is probably the best thing I have done in past - my counsellor gave me some suggestions to help with it. Just taking some time for myself - being selfish is probably one of the best things I have done. Something that is just yours - no one else invited - sounds mean but you have to carve out some time for yourself to help recharge and lessen the anxiety levels - which I appreciate is not always easy. Also being comfortable saying No to people about the things I dont have the time or inclination to do. Yoga, meditation, essential oils may also help. Also I dont drink caffeine and barely drink alcohol - bit boring but it has also helped.
I hear you on the caffeine and alcohol, something I am trying to do. Thanks for watching xx
My Mum has always said that the as your children get older the problems don't go away, they just get bigger 😆
Exactly 😩 Thanks for watching xx
Feel bad for you Emily, anxiety is scary, I like lavender scent and herbal tea twinings calm. Meditation really helps. Hope you feel better ❤️
Thanks Lizzy. Thanks for watching xx
I developed a panic disorder and the first time was coming back from holiday on the aeroplane! They actually took me off the plane in a wheelchair and I couldn’t go on holiday last year because of the fear of it happening again.I HAVE to get through this fear because my daughter is getting married in Cyprus in 2026…I’ve been put on medication called venlafaxine and it seems to be helping,my anxiety has subsided and I haven’t had any more panic attacks since.I literally couldn’t function before this medication so I hope and pray 🙏 your episode was a one off ❤
Hi Emily hope your well! Fantastic video as always! Love your content, your amazing keep the fantastic content coming lots of love to you and your amazing family!! 💯❤️💙🐾xxxx
Thanks as always Ryan xx
@mrsemilynorris your very welcome also I forgot to mention in my comment I love your outfit too! 😍 xxx
Hi Emily, I always try to do grounding when I feel myself become overly anxious. I name outloud:
5 things I can see
4 things I can feel
3 things you hear
2 things you smell
1 thing you taste
Emily ❤ you look so beautiful. Love your black dress. Good job with the healthy meals.
Emily hope you're ok, had panic attacks after dad died, we're in essex back to where we met 40 yrs ago, celebrating 25th wedding anniversary ❤❤
😢 Wow 40 years Bridie! Thanks for watching xx
Love the Emily song ❤️
Matt's face eating the turkey bacon, hehe! 😊 I hope you can keep the panic attacks at bay, I have them now and again and they're scary. Have a lovely weekend! 💕
What is he like! Thanks for watching xx
Wow youre going to Bali!! So excited! Hello from Jakarta, Indonesia 👋🏻❤
Yes Indonesia here we come!! We cannot wait 🥰 Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily! You look lovely today! Do you know if Skin and Me is available in the US? Thanks for the wonderful video! You never disappoint! ❤
You can do it Emily ! You’ll get it recorded!
Maybe do some meditations focused staying calm over the next little while.
If the person who was telling you to slow down could not be there that might help just to not remind you of the first experience.
Remember you gave birth to 3 kiddos so you can absolutely do this too!!! 😉
Meant to say I use the rescue remedy in the dropper bottle and also the pastilles which I keep in the car and my dog walking bag,do find they help me so may be worth a try xx
You are SO LUCKY to never have had panic attacks before and not have a panic disorder. I’ve had panic attacks since childhood, if you don’t suffer from panic disorder then a few things that could help a lot - breathing mindfulness and grounding. I have a band that I snap on my wrist to help grounding.
Ok thank you 😘 Thanks for watching xx
@@mrsemilynorris you’re welcome x
Love day in the life’s
Me too 🥰 Thanks for watching xx
Love your dress Emily, exactly what I'm looking for, may I ask where it is from? Thank you ❤
Hey, having experienced anxiety and panic attacks, I feel for you! It’s a challenge but you’ll get through it. Your persistence in going back to the trigger is admirable. One thing that has helped me is laying down and taking deep breaths and visualizing the thing I’m worried about or dreading going okay- you could also visualize having some anxiety and then sticking it out, taking a drink of cold water and a deep breath and working through it,kind of like practicing a few run throughs in your head so your brain is ready. Good luck to you! You’ve got this!
Good advice regarding how to deal with anxiety…breathing is such a good help and one I’ve recently tried is feal the fear but do it anyway. Your such a positive person Emily you will be fine
I am 41 too! Thanks for sharing
You're young too Lizzy 😂😘 Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily, I feel exactly the same about parenting. I have a 13 and 17 year old. The 17 year old seems to need me just as much and the worries are bigger! X
Exactly Emily 😩 Thanks for watching xx
Sorry to hear about the panic attack this has happened to someone I know and you can get a spray from the doctor I will try and find the brand for you and also thanks so much for recommending fussy I have used it from your recommendation and won’t go back to spray! It’s brilliant so thank you for the discount code xx
I carry a brown paper bag to help with breathing. But spray sounds good.
Oh yes please let me know Abbie 🥰 Thanks for watching xx
Lovely video as always. I can only imagine how horrible it was to have that experience. Is it possible to have a fan on in there as the breeze might make you feel like you are in an outside, spacious area? Xx
Good idea Sally. Thanks for watching xx
Hey Emily, sounds very much like peri menopausal ❤ Have you tried Rescue Remedy - I’ve found it works really well - lots of love and can’t wait to hear your Audible xxx
I'll look into it Tina. Thanks for watching xx
Hiya, I totally agree about how things feel the older the children get. My eldest is currently doing GCSEs and with that comes making decisions regarding college/ their future with them on top of everything and everyone else's needs... it's so draining as mum especially in your 40's . Think I feel more tired now than when all 3 were small babies and toddlers xx
Thanks for watching Sammy xx
Hi Emily
Loved the content of the video so interesting and enjoyable to watch.
You showed a clip of the boys getting their hair trimmed by their father. Next time would you mind sharing how it’s done? Especially any tips and tricks. I would be extremely grateful, it would also help me to save £££’s. Thankyou 😊❤
I so impressed that Kiki didn't react to the other dog at all
Hi Emily, loved the video. Your panic attack might have just been an adrenaline rush from the excitement of doing the audio book, adrenaline can sometimes trigger the 'fight or flight' reaction and it can be overwhelming, some people actually faint, which is the bodies way of getting you to lie down to lower blood pressure, it happened to me a few years ago, took me awhile to learn how to control it but once you learn that nothing bad is going to happen to you it gets easier ❤️
Early full menopause here at 47. It was and is difficult I also suffer from anxiety now and never has. For panic attacks or to help prevent them I was prescribed Inderal.
I was terrified of the teenage years !
( I only have one child - a boy) but because of covid he hasn’t had the normal teenage-hood which is sad in some ways not in others! He’s 16 and goes to bed later than us! And as you say you dont get an evening anymore! one thing Ive noticed for the last couple of years is he spends a lot of time in his room whereas when they’re younger they are around you!
Hey Emily, get yourself referred to a menopause clinic. Also, if I have those episodes, do some breathwork, so breathe in for 4 then hold for 4 then release for 4. X
Ok thank you Elena. Thanks for watching xx
Where did you buy your cake dome please?
It’s my last school run tomorrow and then my youngest daughter leaves school. I’ve been doing school runs for over 20 years and now it’s over. It’s quite sad 🖤
I think I've got perimenopause but I had anxiety and depression before it started anxiety is much worse. Gosh you seem to be going on holiday a lot lol Bali sounds amazing
Thanks for watching xx
Totally agree about the kids getting older comment 😅 I have a 16 year old, 3 year old and 4 month old 😅 3 stages all together. Teens have different problems to deal with! Also someone is always awake at any time 😂
😂Thanks for watching xx
Shoot, I was finally ready to dive in an try skin and me and it’s only for UK residence. Gutted. 😞😋 I’ll find something in Canada I’m sure, or maybe skin and me will expand to here 😉
You look beautiful in this video xxx
Ah thank you Annabelle 🥰 Thanks for watching xx
Maybe try to do the recording after your period, calm gummies(magnesium) and chamomile tea that day. Doing things right before my period is difficult for me personally because of PMDD.
Hi again, from Katie in the US
Hi , just wondering do you still slice your grapes? My 3 boys are the same age's as yours , xx
Propananol stops the physical symptoms of anxiety such as breathlessness and palpitations. I've just started Boots own Calcium with Magnesium in as i think its supposed to help with perimenopause
Ok thanks Laura. Thanks for watching xx
do you know how much the skin & me daily doser is a month now (un discounted) I did it couple of years ago when you recommend it and it was £25 a month just for the daily doser so I’m guessing it's probably gone up now ?! 😬
May i ask where and how much the little hand held hoover is from?
Here is an aff link Rachel amzn.eu/d/dcB6JO6 xx

Hi Emily! Im one of your older mums 🙈 but just want to say I feel for your panic attack .. I think as we age we are not quite as carefree as when we are younger 😅 I found I am more anxious about things that didn't worry me before 🤷♀️
We are in Perth Western Australia so only 3.5 hrs from Bali its our holiday playground .. Just curious if you UK need to pay at the immigration desk as Aussies we need to give Australian dollars about $55 each (in cash) to the immigration .. you are going to have a great time! Love all your content 🥰🥰
P.S I bought my first Fussy deodarent cant wait!
I suffered from really bad anxiety to the point I couldn’t go into a lift 😢
😢 Thanks for watching Marie xx
Honestly, if you are having panic attacks, I recommend medication. I know a lot of people don't believe medication is the right path, I was that way too. However, I have been on medication for anxiety and depression for two years and I feel like my life has improved 10x
Thank you Candace. Thanks for watching xx
Love your videos always! Just one point- everyone calls them cocoons (blame ‘hungry caterpillar’ author for that one!!) but they’re actually called a “chrysalis” and not a cocooon! Sorry I have to correct everyone since I found out a few years ago 😂 such a common one that everyone gets wrong
I’m at a strange transitional stage right now with a 17 and 19 year old. They need me but they also don’t so I’m trying to figure out my place in the world. Also 40 in October and terrified of menopause😂 x
I feel you Emma. Thanks for watching xx
Hi Emily, as a therapist I would recommend behavioral therapy. The therapist can explain to you what happend. Should not take very long 😊 good luck❤
Oh ok Ann, thank you. Thanks for watching xx
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching xx
👏🏼❤️
remember you hypnobirth ? maybe that technique?
Yes good idea! Thanks for watching Monika xx
Lol easier nope my daughter is 24 and I feel like I worry more now I think it's because when they are little you have control and now at this age they're in control of their own life can you spend time hoping and praying that you taught them well and they're making great decisions
Hey Emily! I'm 35 and went into perimenopause at 31 already due to the ovarian insufficiency this genetically inherited for me from my mum. I'm blessed with the two boys before I did go into pm🙏✨💙💙💕. I would recommend you Holistic healing the Reiki treatments to try for the pm it that does help me massively I really really recommend you to try Reiki 🙏✨ Hope you have a lovely weekend guys 🙏Love and light ✨ from Zane 💕🙌
Thanks for your message Zane 🥰
This book has been recommended to me by a friend which I’m currently reading. It’s ’Why has nobody told me.d me this before?’ By Dr Julie Smith. Has a whole chapter on panic attacks! Her insta is also really good!
Hi Emily,
I don't know if it can be helpful but maybe when you go to record the audio for your book think that you are reading it to your kids or some dear friend and maybe you will be ok.
🙂❤
Thanks for watching xx
