Unless she's using some countdown theorem I'm not aware of. The vast majority of numbers have a solution, many solutions in fact. It's very odd she said this with extreme confidence, without either apriori knowledge, or some shortcut rule to prove none exists. Given she didn't elaborate beyond that statement, leads me to believe she has the aid of a computer program.
I guess what I'm saying is, the search space is too big to arrive at that conclusion with that amount of confidence in 30 seconds. Either she's employing some neat heuristic, or she recognises this category of exception, from previous study and categorisation of all impossible solutions or she has live access to computing power

I wouldn't dare assert the negative unless I had exhausted all possibilities. I've also seen her say "I haven't got it yet, carry on, ill come back to you..." She somehow knows for sure this combination is not possible, and I believe that's either study of all impossible combinations or computer aid.
