The only problem with playing along is you miss the amusing things Jimmy does during the 30 seconds.
They’re rarely amusing 😂 (I’m being sarcastic. Which isn’t amusing)

well they are kind of supposed to be a test of not getting distracted whilst trying to play anyway :) (at least for the contestants i suppose its also somewhat funny for the viewers too but i have also always played along and try not to get too distracted)
Always a distraction if you’re playing the game unlike the original Countdiwn. Funny nevertheless but you can always pause

You can see how good they all are as comedians. The show is really just there for them to ad lib too. Brilliant show.
The moment when the handful of pens came out made me giggle , reminded me of a Mr Bean sketch when he was taking an exam . 🤣
I’ve seen that. I love Mr Bean sketches. The one where he comes to America and think flipping off is like waving is so funny
Just a quick explanation, the normal version of Countdown is shown in the afternoon on most weekdays and is watched by old people and the unemployed, as everyone else is in work.
This is how you should do Taskmaster. This show is a new competiton every episode, Taskmaster is a competiriton across the whole series. Have a look at David versues Film, FWCI etc and also Neil Talks, all of whom are reactors who have done it by episode from season 1.
Does anyone know what happened to Neil Talks? I know he took a break but he's been gone almost a year now. Hope he's OK.

@@TheOrlandoTrustfull thanks, I've been looking for this info for months! I love Neil's Taskmaster reactions and feared the worst when he suddenly stopped uploading videos. It sucks that he's having mental health issues and I hope he's ok, but I'm glad to hear he's still with us.

I’ve never played along on this type of countdown and never been bored 😂. I prefer the England cricket cap 🤫😝. Miss you Sean 😢. Yeah I love Kevin’s accent too his stand up is really funny I saw him in Hammersmith last year really good . Have to say I miss you Sean again
Shaun once brought an invention as a mascot, which was a smoke alarm with a snooze button.
I feel like you should set a 30 second timer for yourselves and then pause the video when doing the letters and numbers so you can see Jimmy's skits and whatnot, kind of a shame you're missing out on it :)

I would defo do full episodes, as you lose traction, as it’s twice as long as the tradition countdown due to the comedy bits.
Jon Richardson is a little particular about his pen too.

You guys are great craic...! There are tips and tricks too the game which beginners don't know,eg 9x something,17x something 50xsomething ,75x something... Etc..mulitaplaction.tables that can be written down...pre show on your pieces of paper that you can use in the game, any multiplacation tables... maybe with restrictions? I'm not 100% sure how much is permitted... but some are? Me ... I've never used paper and pen... always tried to do the calculations in my head, it's improved my fast mental calculations (systems).... but many times I wish I had a pensil and paper! Anyway... keep playing for our entertainment and your improvement of math ! Subscribed, longtime!

What dictionary do they use? Because unglossed is in quite a few! "OED's earliest evidence for unglossed is from 1802, in the writing of Harriet Martin." If you were in the middle of glossing something, there are certainly going to be some areas that are unglossed. 🤷

It's better to just watch it and play along casually, the letters and numbers are right there on screen so you don't have to write them down and you're likely to miss out on a ton of the visual gags and micro skits as you do.
You should try playing along to the original Countdown instead, the contestants take it very seriously. You'd also get to see Rachel and Suzie doing their day jobs without Jimmy trying to put them off and crack up laughing.
You can't put an S on Lego. There is only one. If you are talking about the pieces, they are bricks.
You should watch taskmaster this way too
