REVO'S GARAGE yes they don't have a wastegate per say but they still regulate boost by an actuator of varying kinds that control the vanes to regulate boost. Being a diesel tho has nothing to do with having a wastegate or not. Also in some instances twin turbo vgt setups can still run a wastegate.
Yes it is cold, goes up to 90 after a while that's right. But loads of people think their engine is warm enough to floor it when the display says : 90degrees. This is a big mistake, this is the coolant and not the engine oil. The engine oil isnt displayed but is not near the 85 degrees (where it needs to be before you floor it) ;).

They are basically the same but I think the TDI is better, because it is more powerful(around 60-70HP for the SDI and anywhere from 90-130 for the TDI), yet more economical and fun to drive. SDI is best fitted with a small car like a Fabia, Ibiza or Polo, but they are small city cars for me in which you wouldn't carry anything bigger than some bags from the local shopping centre, so it's really best fitted for a smaller Petrol, because cold starts f*ck the hell out of diesel engines
1.9 SDI engine got better fuel economy than the 1.9 TDI's except on the motorway. But you won't find a stronger engine out there than a 1.9 SDI virtually indestructible and they make great work horses but fuck they are slow, its shit having to redline just to overtake a tractor.

Check the cables between the door and chasis, they are not very flexible and can break apart. Otherwise you will need to take down the door panel and check.

Edi Miljkovic No it’s because of he variable geometry of the turbo is fouling when you drive in the city. After you accelerate to red line it remove the fouling in the motor and the turbo stop cut. After she hold the 200/210 km/h normally...

Which Wastegate? It's a Diesel, it got a turbocharger with VTG, there is no wastegate.

Yes it is cold, goes up to 90 after a while that's right. But loads of people think their engine is warm enough to floor it when the display says : 90degrees. This is a big mistake, this is the coolant and not the engine oil. The engine oil isnt displayed but is not near the 85 degrees (where it needs to be before you floor it) ;).

problems can be more. put a small hole in the hose. the sensor evaluates the weak pressure and shuts down the turbo.

I had the same problem and I find what is the problem. It’s because the tdi doesn’t like city drive. You must sometimes go to redline.
It could be your air pressure sensor or if you took out a fuse out of your car that could also be the problem because it's all connected
