Once again Jeff demonstrates his impeccable empathetic and diplomatic skills when speaking with troubled folks at the scene of automobile accidents. Kudos to both him and Kristin!
Great job guys! People in both videos were so sweet. I understand how the woman in the second video feels. My hubby doesn’t listen to me either but then again I don’t let him drive my car 😂
Great video, guys! The folks in both were super nice - and lucky! That second one was definately a dodgy one - I would NOT have wanted to try driving it, even if the radiator was intact - I've experienced airbags going off, not something I'd ever want to repeat! Great job - as always, go EA team!
Well, I had a come to Jesus meeting with a windshield in an accident, long before airbags were a thing (yeah, I’m THAT old). And I know for sure I don’t want to do that again. People expect old person wrinkles on the forehead going left to right. But when they’re going up and down, folks know something’s wrong but can’t figure out what. Good, good video! ❤️
You know, over 50 years ago when my Dad (God rest his soul) was teaching me to drive, he always harped on keeping your fingers and thumbs on the outside of the steering wheel for that very reason. I have seen my son drive with one hand on one of the central spoke of the steering wheel and it just makes me wince. One major bump risks that steering wheel flipping around and breaking a finger or two. Anyway, good thing you were able to gently convince them to take it to the yard. Good job, you two!
Now with air bags if you have your hand like you describe, multiple bones in your and arms will most likely be broken if the air bag deploys. They don’t even teach 10 and two for hand placement on the steering wheel. 9 and 3 is the preferred way.
Jeff, I love coming to Gatlinburg, but as a 70 year old senior, you have to know your limitations lol 😂 not to hurt anyone feelings, mountain roads and cabins especially at night probably not a good idea for us old timers. Thanks Jeff and Kristen great video 👍🏻. From Kentucky 😊.
This was a great video. It showed a lot of interesting stuff that second one the one that went down to the ditch that they want to drive home. You don’t know what other damage is underneath it. It might look good from the outside, but once you get underneath the tie rod could’ve been broke the steeringcould be broke put the radiator into the engine engine got moved. It’s hard to say that people always wanna drive it home like it will be OK, but that was a good video.
Excellent work you two! I guess not only do you rescue vehicles but there are times you offer sound advice that "rescues" us from ourselves a little. Take care of yourselves out there. See ya in a few weeks. 🐻
You two are an inspiration on how you communicate with each other. There are so many relationships on the other end of the spectrum! I am some where in the middle! So I am learning from you two! My wife is thankful for that 😂.
Y'all did a great job being patient with the family with the minivan. You did things according to their wishes, but still told them the risks of things etc. That's the best way to deal with things and keep your customers happy...or as happy as they can be in that situation. God bless y'all for all that you do for others!! 💜🙏💜🥰💜🙏💜
As you saidJeff, this was definitely quite the recovery, including the one in the beginning of the video of the truck that nearly went down the hill. As I said previously in a different video when I came across vehicles in my history of working in the Auto industry as a shop foreman for Toyota and then later on a towing and recovery operator for really 15 years, I always strongly recommend recommended to any customer of mine to never ever drive a vehicle after an accident, even if the airbags were not deployed because the sensor was compromised and it could go off at any time. While I was a shop foreman at Toyota I did experience this happen when one of my former mechanics were working on a RAV4 that came in for service for just that reason and lo and behold as he was just about to unhook the battery connection, the airbag deployed! Great job is always guys. I just ordered my beanie. Can’t wait to get it. All set for the winter up here in the lower upstate New York area of the Hudson Valley.
Excellent recovery, EA. I hope the couple are able to get their vehicle repaired without too much trouble. EA is the very best at talking to customers, providing helpful information, and easing their anxieties. And, you don't even charge extra for it even though it takes your attention and your valuable time.
Wow! Crazy! Amazing that no one was hurt! If there had been weather, could have been much worse! Kristen, your skills are just magic! Jeff, sometimes I can't tell if those roads are sloping up or down! Well done! Stay safe and thanks for the content.
Takes a long time for that pickle bucket to stop smelling like pickles. I got a Wendy’s pickle 🥒 bucket when I was in college at Texas A&M during my Dairy Science class and I needed one for the calf I had to feed and break for the class. She still ate her grain outta that bucket all semester long. Think she might have liked pickles 🥒 😂
So glad everyone is ok and safe. You two are so amazing and helpful to everyone. Wish we could have more people like you in this world. Love from the rocky mountains of Colorado
Great video as always. I feel so bad for that lady who just got that van. That was an excellent recovery. Y’all stay safe and can’t wait until the next one!
The best advice I can give a first time car buyer is that if you have a financed vehicle, get Gap insurance because if it’s totaled you are going to left paying the difference from what the insurance is going to pay and what you owe. I learned this the hard way. I was stuck with an owing balance of $2,000 to the finance company for a car that was already in a junkyard. 😢
Lovely couple in the pick up at the start of this video. I would not rent ONE cabin in Gatlinburg without a video of the owner or property agent having a video driving down the cabin driveway !
Heck of a job on that winch-out! Damage is not on you, the only cleaner way to get that out would have been a helicopter, and with all the trees, even that is doubtful. Great job!
I use to drive a 1979 Mercury Cougar on those roads.... the hood was so long I'd have to hang out the window just to see where the road was! Had some scary fun in that large barge of a car! People that come from places that's flat don't seem to understand how to drive these roads we have here. I thought about starting a "Hillbilly Driving School" but too much paper work and stupid people for that!
Jeff:: PLEASE look into getting a short section of 3 foot diameter black plastic culvert (trim pieces are cheap). I cut them with a chainsaw to make half round or less “ramps” that work perfectly for ditch recovery. They are light and sturdy, you will be impressed. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL and Family!
I think many newer airbag systems require two triggers to fire. An example being impact sensor and under-seat accelerometer. Pulling the fuse can remove power for the firing circuit.
Wow!! I don't know how you navigate those roads! I drive a propane truck doing home delivery in Maine. We have some nasty camp roads but they pale in comparison! I had a driveway to a house on a lake and it was literally a 45 degree downhill from the main rd. I had to drive down and turn around and drive back up. Even with bare dry pavement, the pucker factor was a 50x. I prayed my brakes would hold or I was going swimming. To back down would be impossible as I would loose all steering. No way would I want to drive my bobtail doing delivery down there. Give me a truck like the limo with a small tank and I might be ok. God Bless!!
It's not just the value of the car vs how much it'll cost to fix it; how available the parts are is also a factor. If some part is back ordered for 3 months; they'll often total it because it can't be fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Either because they run into regulatory limits or just paying for your rental car for that long ends up being more expensive than selling it for cheap at copart.
That was interesting for sure. The first truck was at a cabin I remember yall getting them folks out they were off pavement and having trouble. This ole guy is blessed he didn't kill everyone. It looked pretty good to have gone down a mountain
It says a lot for the solidity of that hill pull Blue van(?) that those people lived through it. It had to be terrifying to go through. that poor lady...
It’s amazing how older people don’t understand all that can be wrong with the newer cars. In the beginning if you hit like that no problems just pull the radiator off the engine and go. The airbags scare me too.
I was in an accident once, T-boned a kid who ran a red light in front of me. Totalled my car, air bags didn't go off, there were 2 of us so butts were in both seats. Chrysler said air bags are an accessory so if they don't go off oh well. Weaselly-est thing I have ever read! It happens. Then the insurance added to the list of things destroyed in the crash was replacement of air bag assembly.
Just a question for Jeff...in the case where you were bringing the SUV back up the hill, why were you walking each side instead of using both winches simultaneously? Would there not be a greater chance of hooking something underneath the vehicle by walking it up the hill like that? Appreciate what you both do every day and giving us these insights to the business!
I live on a mountainous gravel road in NH, but our roads are nothing like you have there. On my road, if I meet someone one of us can find a place to pull over, but on some of your roads someone must have to back up a long way to an intersection or wide driveway. Your roads have no shoulder - it just drops off at the edge of the pavement, and in many cases it's a long way down!
Who knows but if his head hit the window then he must have not had the seat belt on. Being a dealer tech you guys have to understand that many factors come into air bag activation. You have to remember that these cars have retractor and buckle charges that tighten the belt. So depending on speed and what the impact sensors and g forces sensor registration. Will determine if just the seat belt retractors activated or the air base deployed. So you mentioned hitting the window, so if the seat belt isn’t on nothing is going to activate
Hey Jeff, I question. But first, the new truck looks nice. So im just curious: Does your truck have the ability to remotely control the boom and winches? Or do you have to control the winches from the truck?
Some of these cabins are in places that are not safe for driving, especially if you are new to the area. I will get my mountain view fix from the safer two-lane roads. Great video!
I've owned two 2 wheel drive pickups. Never again. The last two were 4 wheel drive, and my car is all wheel drive as well. Y'know what they say, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
personally, in my mind, the folks in the offices and on the phones need to make the drive to and from the cabins at least once every season. I mean, all the way to the front door, get out, walk around the building, and then drive back to the office. I suspect their giving of directions would have a different sort of content.
thing with the cabin rentals is it is probably all done though either a management company or booking agent who has never been there and has no clue you be lucky if they could find the place on a map.
Another you tuber I watch took their family on vacation to Kissimmee to stay in a Vbro but they weren't told the place was under an HOA. They couldn't keep their little trailer there. They had it behind their truck. (It was a family of 8). They threatened to fine them $ 1000 if they brought it back. Then VBRO was no help and they were blocked from giving a bad review. I'm through with Vbros.
I hate that slick black top. When wet it is like driving on snot. The old guy driving down that hill is very lucky. I hope next time he listens to his wife. You two work great together and try hard to keep yourself and others safe. He should have know that there was no safe way to drive that home. 😊
I could be wrong but I can see the second car being totaled it will save them a lot of money especially with everything that is wrong with car based on what Jeff said. It doesn't sound like it would be worth the money it would cost to fix it
Once again Jeff demonstrates his impeccable empathetic and diplomatic skills when speaking with troubled folks at the scene of automobile accidents. Kudos to both him and Kristin!
You guys have an enormous amount of patience and kindness for people in bad situations. 😊
I hear that you may be getting snow right now. Have fun.
❤ absolutely amazing teamwork. On the job and in life. God bless.
Great job guys! People in both videos were so sweet. I understand how the woman in the second video feels. My hubby doesn’t listen to me either but then again I don’t let him drive my car 😂
I google earth any new place I have to drive to….it might be weird but it has helped many times.
Those Firehouse pickle buckets do the trick! Great job, y'all!
Great video, guys! The folks in both were super nice - and lucky! That second one was definately a dodgy one - I would NOT have wanted to try driving it, even if the radiator was intact - I've experienced airbags going off, not something I'd ever want to repeat! Great job - as always, go EA team!

Great videos. That second pull was crazy. This one recovery I would like to see what the insurance company decides to do.
This was a great video. It showed a lot of interesting stuff that second one the one that went down to the ditch that they want to drive home. You don’t know what other damage is underneath it. Kristen could operate her own truck by herself. She is amazing. Happy thanksgiving guys.
Excellent work you two! I guess not only do you rescue vehicles but there are times you offer sound advice that "rescues" us from ourselves a little. Take care of yourselves out there. See ya in a few weeks. 🐻
Way to go Kristen. That was truly beautiful. Nice finishing touch Jeff.
You two are an inspiration on how you communicate with each other. There are so many relationships on the other end of the spectrum! I am some where in the middle! So I am learning from you two! My wife is thankful for that 😂.
The wife was getting it done. Great team work both of you..
Kristen your a great wife to Jeff
Ramousine is almost too large for those narrow roads! It's a BIG RED BEAST! Excellent recovery on the van/suv...Y'all ROCK!
Love the name!
You guys are always so nice to people when helping them, It has to make them feel better about a bad situation
Y'all did a great job being patient with the family with the minivan. You did things according to their wishes, but still told them the risks of things etc. That's the best way to deal with things and keep your customers happy...or as happy as they can be in that situation.

You are so good to people especially the elderly! God bless you!
These winch outs are a doddle for the Limo, what a great truck with a brilliant team managing it, Well done Guys
Great video guys
Thanks for sharing for the information of insurance claim

Kristen and Jeff, you guys are amazing!!
Awesome job on this one talking to them like equals not below you
Great video! Thanks!
that was great... I am so glad the radiator was leaking or he would have tried to drive it!!
Great videos you’ve got the love the Elderly’s just gotta love them. But a bunch of no need to be driving.
Looks like that will buff out!
That gentleman either had the 4x4 decals removed off his f150 or is a 2wd def wouldn’t have made it up hill in reverse. Haha great video!!
Lovely couple in the pick up at the start of this video. I would not rent ONE cabin in Gatlinburg without a video of the owner or property agent having a video driving down the cabin driveway !

Why do people think they can drive it after that? Lol Always makes me laugh!

Man! Jeff, that was a tricky one ! YOU ARE THE MAN ! Great job👍‼️👍
“When does a Firehouse Pickle Bucket stop smelling like Pickles?” When it’s full of Manure!
I think many newer airbag systems require two triggers to fire. An example being impact sensor and under-seat accelerometer. Pulling the fuse can remove power for the firing circuit.
Really I mean Really ❤
I've seen lots of things done in West Virginia once that I wouldn't want to try and do again.
Very awesome video, as always, guys. Some people are just too crazy lol.
Watching the video and an Infinity commercial came on with the exact same vehicle. Even color.
Can we have an update on the vehicle when back at the lot in the daytime please

I had rubber cover’s on my bed booms for the ground to keep the wrecker from sliding Jeff. 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
Great video but I feel sorry for the folks! Stay safe guys!

Google Maps Street View, so easy to look before you rent. Pay to park in town and be happy. Keep Everything Auto's phone number, just in case.
That's almost straight up and down. I couldn't imagine going off that lol
That was interesting for sure. The first truck was at a cabin I remember yall getting them folks out they were off pavement and having trouble. This ole guy is blessed he didn't kill everyone. It looked pretty good to have gone down a mountain
She’s had it with him….. 40 years too many. Thank the Lord they’re ok and he’ll hear about this in the next 40 years 😂
😂😂😂

Plantin’ flowers ?? 😂😂😂
There's times when it's appropriate to be mad...at yourself.
OMG….u live in a crazy area with all the barley passable roads.
Instead of Limousine, you should call your new truck The Beast! 22:13
That time of year again when the driveways are all slippery with leaves and tree stuff. Here we go again!
I live on a mountainous gravel road in NH, but our roads are nothing like you have there. So im just curious: Does your truck have the ability to remotely control the boom and winches? Or do you have to control the winches from the truck?
This car was a doozie. But as usual here at job. The Ramlimo stayed steady and both the winches working in tandem was nice.
Some of these cabins are in places that are not safe for driving, especially if you are new to the area. I will get my mountain view fix from the safer two-lane roads. Great video!

I would put it front and back cameras for backing up in these mountain streets.
My truck has 4 cameras so that I get an overhead view. Works great.

I wouldn't think HOAs would allow Vrbos
That'll buff out!
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
Airbags may save lives but they can be a pain in the rear . My niece hit a pothole in her Volkswagen TDI wagon and both front airbags deploy .
When are you going to build an off road wrecker and go out to Utah and play with those guys?
Airbags deployed on last accident. Burnt thru myscrubs. i have a permanent scar on my legs. Those things smoke and explode hard!
Need to do a clip of the truck in the intro so new people know what kind of truck you're working with
Tell Him! That makes me nervous when you’re standing there!!
I literally would have sh!t my pants!!! No way would I be driving that thing home. How in the world did the airbags not deploy?
I hate that slick black top. When wet it is like driving on snot. The old guy driving down that hill is very lucky. I hope next time he listens to his wife. Feel sorry for that woman at the over the hill crash, State Farm is not a great insurance to work with! Wish her the best in getting it repaired!
