I regret missing out on release from 2016 to 2018. For some reason I decided to finally ask my mom to buy me the game around mid November of 2019. There my journey started. I met one of the nicest people on this game and still friends with them to this day and had so many memories in ranked and playing with my friends. I've been through the best and the worst, but I still love this game no matter what. Call it copium, but the reason I'm not quitting is only because I was so attached to the characters and it's an FPS shooter like no other. It's special in its own way and I don't want to abandon it or the characters I fell in love with. I didn't know how to feel hearing the recent PvE news, but deep inside it hurt a little bit. I just don't wanna let go I guess.
if it makes you feel better i only started playing this year, 6 months ago. i missed so much and didn't get to experience so many things like 6v6, loot boxes, and when people were happy with the state of the game and still hopeful for pve. i really wish i joined sooner.
Don't be sad that its over, be glad that it happened. This video really resonates with me, I miss the golden era of overwatch so much, i long for those days, and I pity the new players that think this hollow shell of a game is anywhere close to what it could be. OW2 can simply be chalked up to a huge waste of potential.
To go from top 3% of NA console players to not playing at all in the span of less than a year kind of broke my spirit when it came to games in general. I had over 1000 hours on mercy alone not to mention the hundreds on other heroes. I made tons of friends, grinded to masters and even beat top 500 players in competitive. This game was an important part of my life for a long time, and to see it be whittled down to a shell of what it once was is heartbreaking. I had so much hope that overwatch 2 wouldn't be a let down but when it launched I knew it was the end of an era. I really did believe mercy when she said heroes never die, but I didn't think she meant it in the terms of not being dead as long as you were remembered, I thought she meant they'd be around forever.
Guys I recently talked with OW2 players that never experienced the first game before, and they are saying that they totally don't give a fuck about PVE and campaign, and they are going to spend money on battle passes/skins. This is just so dissapointing that they are going to support blizzard after that. How lack of knowledge and experience can change your opinion and view about the game. I miss how beautiful and full of quality this game was back in the day I was playing it. Wonderful video, you literally made my cry for a moment man❤
You don't know what you have until it's gone. 😔 I was playing overwatch during college with my friends 2016-2019. 😢 Now when I look back I realize what we lost... Overwatch 2 is not the same... Rip to my favorite game 🌹
this is so fucking sad. when 2014 overwatch trailer release, i was shocked. i cant wait to play this goty game. after 2 years, the game launched. first time i was played Mc.cree he was so fucking op stun spamming right click . everything is just chaos. and so fucking fun. but in the end, the game died.
My daughter and I would spend hours playing Overwatch together. Taking turns or teaming up together. We've played 2 matches of OW2 since launch. It's horrifying to see a game so beloved, even with its flaws, fall apart and become such a corrupt version of itself.
So sad I've got a chance to play it just recently. Before I've just been watching animation shorts, gameplay and just funny fan videos of it. I really hope it will revive somehow or we'll get something as good as what we had before.
Sure, we still have "overwatch 2" if you could call it that, but it's a shadow of its former self and will never be what was it was supposed to. Never forget: you have only one life, and overwatch was part of it. GG.
This video hurt my heart. But I will always cherish the game that Overwatch was for a precious few years (and potentially could be again if some major leadership changes were made at Blizzard). GGs for now, Overwatch.
If you have Steam Left 4 dead 2 has Overwatch mods. If I had decades of mod making experience under my belt, I would turn Borderlands into an Overwatch series.

Overwatch 1 walked and then was put to sleep so Overwatch 2 can stumble and then break its legs straight into a coffin.
from the markiplier appreciation clip, to the jeff resignation, to the peaky blinders scenes - this was such a good video
i still sometimes look back on the little recording i took when ow1 shut down. i wonder how the people in it are doing now.
Me to man 😢😢

As someone who played OW From the 2015 beta to now, This hit hard. I started playing OW when I was 10...Today I'm 18.

Ive been going back to old dev update videos from 5+ years ago just to feel something. You dont know how great something is until its gone
overwatch was a fucking incredible experience at launch till overwatch 2, as always greed ruins what we love. at least we’ll have the memories

1:04 im actually balling
Overwatch is the perfect example of a mandella effect. Never have i seen a game release to such success only to fall off into the unknown.

Something hurts and I wish I could stop it but I know there is nothing to fix. It's simply hurts.
Honestly feel bad for overwatch fans
Why do u feel bad for those toxic virgins 😅
i wanna know the song name.
The first song is Freaks by Surf Curse and the second song is called The Perfect Girl by Mareux (Retrowave Remix).
@@TeamDiff thank you!!!!
Don't worry, in 4 years they will release a new mode called "Overwatch Classic" it will be paywalled under a 60 USD battle pass and last 3 months
Good bye overwatch

Here lies Overwatch, he never scored.

I cried.
We have are fun, we have to move on. If we continue we will just feed their corporation a fuel for their greed
Because it's blizzard for this to die
Press F to pay respect in 1 minute
Can't blame the game, blame the company.
@@TeamDiff now blizzard is a shitshow
ON BEHALF OF ALL OVERWATCH PLAYERS... IT BRINGS ME SADNESS TO SAY.......
Not like this........
...............not like this.
I'd gladly keep the Loot Boxes and Content Drought over the hollow, soulless cash-grab Overwatch has become.
what the- Tracer next to Chun Li? lool
Ready Player One is a hidden gem..
And this is why u dont make sequals to mulitplayer games. Also why i dont play overwacth lol
overwatch classic maybe xD?
its a dead game now
Just play team fortress 2. Valve is an indie game where it takes forever to update the game but still fun
2016 was a great year best elections cycle
Ow2 if you can call it that is Shit I'm pissed they just updated ow and gaves is all the exact same game
