You, young man, did a very good job of walking through this, with competency and excellent manners.
Thanks for watching!
@@CPAPmyway you have a good mind a very pleasing personal presentation you should do more of these kind of things remember you can Branch out into various areas and joy
Thank you. I was sitting here staring at this and wondering how it worked. Oddly, the manufacturer does not have an up to date video.
You are very welcome. The P10 adjustable headgear is for sure a welcome upgrade.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! The P10 has been my go-to mask for many years. Tried several others but always come back to it. The headgear on my current one had been on its last legs for months but I just never got around to replacing it. Finally ordered a replacement and got it today. Was surprised by the new adjustable design, and couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get it on. 😂 That is until I found your video and realized how simple it was. Thanks again!
You are very welcome.
Same for me. Your video is the ticket I needed to a good night’s sleep!
@@howardroll5068 Very glad that we could help. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for making this so simple! My supplier wanted to sell me a whole new headset because it was “very complicated “. Much appreciated!
You are very welcome
I've been using the P10 for years and love it--except for the headgear, which stretches out so quickly. Imaging my surprise to see that the new equipment I got the other day came with this new adjustable headgear--can't wait to try it out tonight!
Nice!! I hope the P10 headgear works great for you.
I have been using CPAP since March 1996 when masks were from the dark ages and it took me 6 months to get used to wearing one all night.
The P10 is the ants pants.
Glad to hear you like it.
Thank you for your demonstration. I just couldn’t figure it out; however, after watching you, it was very easy.
Glad it helped!
Thank you 1 am and I watched your video. I had the headband with the color in the out side it kept falling off. Fixed it 👍
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video and the accidental/intentional mistake because that was the problem I had when trying to set it up for the first time
Glad it helped!
Thanks for your help!
You are very welcome
I have the women’s headgear - purple on the inside, grey on the outside. I never had a problem with the old headgear and I have been using that style since 2006. I have had 2 of the new adjustable ones (every 90 days) and they slip and slide off my head no matter how I adjust it. I also now have too many air leaks! I wish I could just order the old style but I’ve been told they no longer offer them. The old style number is the same as the adjustable style.
Same! I hate the new one and I’m very disappointed that the old style is not available. I had problems with it becoming a bit loose by the end but I would way rather deal with that then this new adjustable gear.
@@rachelsewell7026 I found by washing the old headgear by hand, then putting in the drier to dry - perfect! I have constant leaks and the new headgear does NOT stay in place! I received an email saying that you could CHOOSE to get the new headgear, but my supplier said the adjustable is the only one Resmed now has 😔
@@roseannhaakerud8277 thank you for the tip!
I dislike the new headgear. That adjuster buckle hurts my head!
thanks really needed this.
You are very welcome.
Thanks so much… I threw away the old tubing n headgear. Now I’m looking like what n how do I do this, it’s not put together…So I turned to RUclips. So great full
You are very welcome.
Can I make this strap larger or looser than the original? . I am having problems in that the original is to tight for my very large head.
That is cool.
Yes. The new adjustable headgear has been very helpful.
Will an n30 cushion fit the new p10 headgear?
New to cpap world.. but just started using the P10 pillows and wow!!! Very minimal design super comfortable. I’m currently using the old style head gear. Question- how does the new headgear clip feel while side sleeping? That would be my only concern.
Glad that you like the mask. I have not heard anything bad on the new headgear clip being uncomfortable.
I find the clip makes it impossible to sleep on that side!
@Cpapmyway Can you switch the headgear so that the clip it’s on the other side?
@@dougowen1123 hey Doug, yes you can that’s not a problem to switch sides. Honestly though I’ve not noticed any discomfort with the clip it’s pretty soft and not hard rubber.
Not a great strap design for side sleepers. It might be okay if you have a thick head of hair but if you have a shaved head like me forget about it.
I’ve been using p10 for 6 years. Not liking new design. Not good for side sleeping unless you like the buckle digging into your temple. Also think they made unknown changes to headgear. Hose tore loose in 2 months time. Never had that happen before
Thanks for the input. If you have access to the old style headgear you may want to get some extra. I would bet that ResMed will not keep that old headgear around forever. We still have some I think.
If you predominantly sleep on your left shoulder side, it's not a problem.
@@riknbkr330 lol. I swap back and forth many times a night. Mainly on my right side. So I switched the buckle to the left. The hose part though just popped off the mask. I think it’s due to ozone cleaning
My question is my two pieces came apart at the plastic tab and I’m not quite sure how to attach the short unsplit fabric piece back into the tab
Did the tab break, because there should be a split where the frame insert slides in.
Not sure why, but I seem to be the only one that had no issue with the original strap. Been using the same one for over a year without it stretching out. Now I'm worried about this new design since I sleep on my side (with a very stiff buckwheat pillow) and switch often during the night...
I believe that the old headgear may still be available separately from the mask. Most P10 users have really liked the change though.
I have small head and this style ends up at bottom of my head while sleeping. I am a side sleeper. 'As far as the old straps. I have put mine in laundry mesh bags for delicates and wash and dried them for years. They will shrink and do last for a while.
Thanks for sharing!
This is the greatest CPAP mask ever created by mankind! 😂😂
Thanks for the input.
Is the new strap for the for her P10 the same length and just a different color, or is it shorter.
This is the new strap for the P10 and the length of the headgear is adjustable.
it's a bunch longer and if you want it too split like the old one and had to adjust it down, it won't work.
It's about time, common sense would have provided an adjustment when it was first designed! PS: the price is ridiculous!!!
Yeh this one has been a long time coming.
Is there a difference between the Airfit and the Airmini P10 new headgear ? I don't want to order it and have it be the wrong one.
They are the same. Link below for reference.
cpapmyway.com/store/airfit-p10-adjustable-headgear
when I roll over on my side the pillow makes contact and pushes the side piece right into my eye. I only have ONE eye so this really upsets me
Do you think that it may be overtightened or upside down. We do not get that complaint on the P10 very often to my knowledge.
How to make the headgear even larger , i HAVE IT OPEN UP ALL THE WAY, AND IT IS STILL TO TIGHT MY NOSE IS GETTING SQUASHED
There is not larger version unfortunately.
Can I combine it with ResMed quickrelease elbow? Thank you!
It will only work with the adapter that some with it.
I tried to order the new adjustable band but was told they only make them for the mens head gear and not for the women's as yet. Do you know when they plan to come out with the women's adjustable?
What is the diff ? Women still have noses
The adjustable version is for men and women. I do not think that they will be making the adjustable in the pink coloration. However the new adjustable P10 headgear will fit the P10 "for her" frame just fine. We have had plenty of ladies order it so far.
I received my women’s (purple & grey) back in January, 2021. 90 days later, I received a new one again. The problem I find is the split in the adjustable is different than the old one and doesn’t fit the same way. To me, it’s frustrating and never seems that I can adjust it correctly. I would love the option of getting the older style with my orders. I’ve been using this style since 2006 and personally have never had a problem, but I know everyone is different.
@@roseannhaakerud8277 Yes I understand that frustration. You are more than welcome to order the old headgear from us. They adjustable and the for her version s are interchangeable on the P10 mask.

@@CPAPmywaythank you, but the problem is my insurance will not cover my purchases, they will only pay for them if they are purchased with all my supplies through my current vendor and they no longer offer the original headgear. 😔
How often do u have to change the nose pillow
They say at least once per month or as needed for performance.
Where I can buy headgear airmini p10 like the video with adjust
You can buy it with us. The link is in the description of the video and I will also put it here below.

I don't like the new strap at all. It works fine when new. As it stretches and you pull the strap it shortens the straps and then it starts to slip off my head. I ordered the old style and when they stretch I just put a stitch in it to shorten it. Works much better
Thanks for the input.
Hello, what size are you using ?
Medium
I hate the new strap so much. The old one was shorter to begin with, and the split went under and over hair. The new one when tight enough doesn't have much of a split, and will not stay on. Will have to find a different mask after 7 or 8 years of the P10
I think that you can still get the old headgear.
@@CPAPmyway not from my DME - which since I meet my OOP early in the year is covered at 100%
had used these masks for years. They used to have problem with the elastic stretching to the point where they needed to be replaced. ResMed "improved" the design with an adjustable strap. Good idea, lousy implementation. I have now had three units fail (just out of their 30-day warranty) where the elastic joins the plastic adjuster. One unit fail after only 4 night's use. This used to be a great product, now it is a total waste of money.
Thanks for sharing!
I do not like the new strap, hence why I found this video. It slides all over my head if I don’t tighten it and if I tighten it, it still slides off. I have woken up a million times every night. No restful sleep anymore.
Thanks for the input.
I dislike the new headgear. That adjuster buckle hurts my head!
Thank you for the input on the P10 headgear. Great to have real world feedback.
Ich hab heute meine erste Nacht mit meinem neuen kleinen Freund....die vorherige hat mein Gesicht stranguliert....hoffe die Kleine Süsse gibt mir nicht das Gefühl von nächtlicher Folter....🙄🍀✌👌
Thanks for watching.
I’ve worn the Airsense P10 for quite a while and this new upgrade is a piece of junk. My strap adjuster broke after two months. ResMed would do NOTHING to help me with the issue. Their advice…call your supplier. Buyer beware.
Thank you for the input on the P10 headgear.
Not a hug improvement. Within a moth the little plastic tabs pulled off, and the elasticity stretched out way too mast. IMO
Thanks for the input.
Can just look at the old headgear and I can tell I would have a problem!
Well i guess you should avoid this option. I think that it will be a good option for those who have issues with the current P10 headgear.
The ONE THING that ResMed needs to improve on this otherwise-perfect mask is the PILLOWS. They need to replace these relatively stiff and sometimes-irritating pillows with GEL pillows made like the ones on the Nuance Pro!! That (Nuance Pro) mask is a mess - poor fit, poor design - but those pillows are so soft and comfortable!! PLEASE, ResMed - make new gel pillows for the Airfit P10!!!!!
It does cause occasional pain, redness and can do a number on the nose skin, but I smear Nose Better on my nose and I good to go that night.
Stupid change that get many people frustrated and having to buy in Amazon the old strap and the nasal pillow separate. Who in the world came with this idea that ading the adjustment in the side would work? It hurts and looses the big advantage of having a strap that was very soft on the head, specially for side sleepers. HATED
Thanks for the input.
2:00 - there has got to be a better design than that dreadful system to attach the straps.
There are a ton of other types of masks on the market for sure.
Get your fingers out of the way!!! I can't see how the head gear fits in the slots. I don't care for this head piece at all. NOT AN UPGRADE
Thanks for the input
I just got off the phone with my supplier. I had the old type that stretched out and they told me I had to buy the new one because it was not time for replacement yet on my insurance. BULL. if the product was made right to begin with it would not have stretched out so much within the short time I have had it. Still glad they improved it and I am waiting for a call to see if they are going to replace it for me or whether aI have to call my insurance and fight with them. Stay tuned and we'll see how well Apria does at getting this done for me so I don't have to pay the $25 out of pocket for it.
