    I backed it with an extra
    Also backed 2 ghost one to open. The other I sell at cost to any regular customer that buys my clamshells or acrylics

      🤔It's $500+ for $25 worth of (likely low to Medium quality) PLASTIC that prob. won't be *_Weathered & Painted_* very well, if at all. The Set has *_NO STAGE_* & *NO 6 Man BAND*_ to put on it, even if the Stage were included. It's not a good value by any stretch of the imagination. 👎 I don't think this piece, if it Backs, will fetch what the Re-seller think it will on the 2nd hand market (for these reasons & more +)

    I backed 2 Deluxe Cantina sets. I didn't back the Sail Barge and ended up paying double the retail price on the secondary market. I won't repeat that mistake. Also, my SDCC Salacious and Mouse Droid cost more than the Haslab. LOL! I didn't back any "modern" Disney media Haslabs. Not interested in the Razor Crest after it was blown up, and could care less about the cartoon spaceship. LOL!

    the big difference between the Razor Crest and Cantina is the pack-in figures.. You can't compare repacked Grogu and Jawa against the Tonika sisters.. Chalk and Cheese.

    The difference between the razor crest and the cantina is that the crest got 28000 backers. If the cantina funds with 8000 t 10000 those figures are gonna be in high demand.

    Jar Jar in carbonite or entire deluxe cantina playset? Salacious Crumb and Mouse Droid or 2 deluxe and 1 basic cantina? I mean I understand the gotta catch them all aspect for carded collectors, but either way you're getting a lot more for your money with the cantina, both physically, and as a potential investment.

    Hey AFG, enjoy your videos! I do need to make some points on a few things you stated:
    Chris at Banthaskull is the source for the info on the extremely rare unpunched figures. He wrote that hardly anyone cared at the time but that they would be grails. He is now emphatically warning everyone not to pass on the cantina, and he's right.
    Your assertion that the figures included with the cantina will flood the market after they ship is misguided at best. These are highly-demanded figures that are not available anywhere else. Everyone ordering a cantina wants the figures and will keep them. The people ordering more than one set want a set of figures to open and one to keep on card. There will not be many available at all, and I don't think any of them will sell for less than $300 before they eventually surpass Salacious Crumb and the Mouse Droid.
    The cantina will definitely back, and will at minimum unlock Greedo based on current numbers. It's still most likely to unlock all tiers, but if it doesn't than the figures that are included become that much more rare.
    Finally, for everyone that claims that the cantina isn't a good value, you're wrong. It's a good value, the level of detail, thought, modularity, accessories, and new tooling make it a bargain compared to what commissioning a custom piece costs and it's not as brittle. No one seems to consider how much tooling and paint apps actually cost. Yes, you may not like the price and refuse to pay it, but that doesn't mean it's not a good value.

  • @dog46golf
    @dog46golf 3 месяца назад +3

    Friggen cantina is way too expensive but I’m a sucker and already got one.
    The unlock thing is sort of silly, apparently only Wuher and the sisters will be exclusives, they’re going to retail release the rest the rest, but they have to get funded to be released at all
    So it’s sort of a odd system this time around too

      I don't know why they made the Haslab project end right before SDCC too...seems like they could have used SDCC to hype the Haslab project ending soon.

    I backed the Standard - no room for the bigger one, I will use the facade for a seperate display. I think they will go hard with the external figures, dewback Sandtroopers etc in 2025.

    Great video. I just want to remind you that on June, 17 is my birthday and I will turned 53. I will celebrate that day and go do something fun like buy some SW figures. I have seen the Haslab Cantina, and I think $499.95 is way to much for me. I would rather buy the figures instead. I'm also glad I passed on the Razor Crest, Ghost and Barge. Nice Grogu and Offworld Jawa Elder. Wonderful Yak Face. I would rather have this figure instead of buying the Barge. I don't have the Antoc Merrick, but I do have his R2 unit. I would love to have the Blue Squadron X-Wing someday. Grand Moff Tarkin is still on my wishlist. I'm glad I have Aurra Sing. I would like to buy at retail Cal Kestis and Mandalorian Judge. I have the re issue of Star Killer, but I want debut version. I would love to have the Revenge SDCC version of Boba Fett. I have the re issue of Shae Vizla and again I want the 1st issue. Darth Malgus is still on my wish list along with Magma Guard. I'm glad I have the Biker Scout w/Speeder Bike. I have Mandalrian Din Djarian, Pre Vizla, 1st issue Mace Windu and Jedi Survivor three pack. Canadian Yoda is really still going for big bucks. Mouse Droid and Sarlacious Crumb are way high for me.

    Have to admit, I am having trouble pulling the trigger on this haslab. I am a MOC collector and just want the figs. UHG, TBH I feel like TVC is dying a slow death. Hasbro is ignoring the line to a degree. Makes me sad. Oh whale, plenty of variants and other TVC 1.0's to get. Thank you for all the hard work.

      I stated this on only only kenobis channel the other day. Tvc is certainly on the way down sadly. I mean, you need to try and get the kids interested in tvc, but with these expensive haslabs and figure price hikes, its driving the young uns to black series. 3.75 is currently only aimed at hardcore, older collectors with deep pockets. Such a shame. And hasbro, im dying to get that tales of the jedi inquisitor in tvc, make it happen!!

    • @meccanised
      @meccanised 3 месяца назад +1

      @@mrmola3295 I'm not sure I agree with this, where I live Black Series figures are often double the price of TVC. Maybe younger people buy one or two, but certainly can't afford to buy everything coming out.

    • @mrmola3295
      @mrmola3295 3 месяца назад +1

      You dont have to agree with me mate, its just my opinion. Also character selection is another driver of black series sales. Look at the bad batch for instance, black series get them all, even some background characters, while tvc gets one member. Its obvious to star wars collectors that black series is hasbros main focus, and thats ok, but tvc needs to stop being a repaint/repack after though line. Im a 3.75 die hard, always will be, but my 2 sons want black series all day long. I can only speak on my experiences, but i have many friends who feel the way i do. Just give us more 3.75 hasbro!!

    It's really crawling. If I had the money I'd buy deluxe and sell 5 of the alcoves with chairs and tables for $150 a piece and people would buy them for their own tiny diorama. Keep the bar. It gets to Guido then dies I'd think. Unless we get more weird number pumping. Haslab figures always flood the market and always start pretty low, they go high a bit then stabilize. Rather have Black Series Sisters though. It's too expensive, $100 way too much on each option, and they could have dropped the last 2 figures and it would be 8k now, or just sell regular option as deluxe at $400. If this doesn't hit 17k or the final two figures you take a huge loss. Hasbro is printing money with this cheap plastic set, it backs only through figure fomo. Cardbacks.

    This HasLab might not even make 8000 backers. I highly doubt it does it's so expensive for really a $200 max max product. It's also a reprint so it's literally like trying to charge $500 for an Optimus Prime HasLab. I'll buy the original Cantina in box for $200 and call it a day.

So say 10k in the US and Canada 5k in Europe, another 3-5k in Asia. It’s a slam dunk. Rich I’ll bet you a CGC 9.8 graded comic valur $100 or so. Bring it on baby
