APPROACH WITH CARE AND CAUTION. Don't break your laptop! And don't blame me if you do. If in doubt, go to a professional.
How to change or upgrade the hard disk or access the RAM and bios battery on a Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series (Reg Model P69G DP/N: 93KXK A04) laptop.
The procedure takes at least 10 minutes, probably longer if you are new to opening up laptops. This video shows you how to remove the lower cover to access the motherboard, hard disk, bios battery and RAM.
Sir, you are a life-saver. Thank you so much for making this video. ♥️🙏
Glad to have helped

Hi, I have the same laptop and ever since I bought it, it's been INSANELY SLOW. Takes a couple minutes to open web browser, freezes up real easily. DISK is most of the time at 100%.. Memory is usually at 75% and CPU 15%.. Any tips? I tried a complete reinstall of windows. Still super slow. My 10 year old computer are 10x fast than this one lol I bought this laptop mainly for using the internet.. can barely do that
No point using a computer these days if it does not have an SSD in my view. Upgrade to an SSD and it will be faster than all your other computers.
Having same issues. Did you replace with an ssd? If so did it fix the issue
Yes, 100% fixed the issue. The computer is super fast now. Home Screen appears within 5-10 seconds of turning on the computer, it’s crazy
where will i find the keyboard with pamrest ASAP reply
No nvme slot on this one?
Can i use my hard drive as secondary and SSD as primary and how to be done
There is not space for a 2.5inch SSD AND a hard disk. You could use a USB caddy and put your old hard disk into that.
Hi! I have this similar laptop. One day I was using it and suddenly it turned off. If I connect the charger, the light of the charger goes off. I can't charge it, turn it on.
What can be the problem?
I would be grateful if you answer me!
Possibly faulty protection diode on the motherboard? (or loads of other reasons). Have you tried a different charger in case the charger is just faulty?
time to take an unused ssd out of my main computer. does it speed it up alot? tempted to by an extra stick of ram for it aswell to make it 8gb, mine is only 4
Ssd makes a massive improvement.
@@freename yep my god thats made a difference, next up more ram. cheers for this video sir
ay i need help the left clip between the screen and keyboard is completely stuffed when i try to close my laptop it starts to take apart the whole left bottom side of the screen and inside its bending some of the things inside mine is a inspiron 13 5000
Sounds like the screws that hold the hinge in place (or more likely the entire pillars they screw into have snapped off). The hinge are very strong so it will just be rotating the metal bracket out of the case as the plastic alone isn't strong enough to keep it in place.
Do you have any tips on going about upgrading the CPU for this specific model?
Unless you have a BGA solder rework station - dream on.
Can you tell me please what type of SSD to be exactly working for the same laptop.
Any 2.5" SATA SSD. I recommend not using less than 120/128GB.
I have this same laptop with the sound going in and out from time to time. How would I fix this issue? Maybe something was knocked loose from a drop?
If you are sure nothing is stuck in the headphone socket (which might turn off the speakers if it thinks something is plugged in)... At 4:43 on the right side of the battery is one of the speakers. Above that speaker is a red, white and blue wire going to a white connector on the motherboard. Check that is secure.
@@freename checking right now. Everything appears secure. So the sound goes in and out. If you go in the settings, you can mess with it to turn it back on. Maybe there is a short somewhere?
Hey, im here with my new hardrive and old hardrive looking lost, i have the same computer, but how did you copy the data off the old drive? Or did you mean that the new hardrive was a copy?
I'm often replacing the hard disk and reinstalling so once I swap the drive I would just install again off the Windows 10 USB stick. If you wanted to "clone" your machine I recommend using Macrium Reflect Home (free!) and a USB to SATA converter like this one: amzn.to/32IsXWI.
Load from your existing hard disk in the computer. Plug the new one or SSD in using the USB lead and use the Clone option in Macrium to copy the partition to the new drive. Once copied, shut down and swap the drive!
@@freename , thank you for the video and explanation but quick question... I have cloned the entire HD to SSD, but after this when i put the SSD inside laptop , Windows didn't boot. Do you know why this is happening? I checked partition size and type ( MBR/ GPT) and it is all right.
What did you use to clone it?
@@freename I used EasyUs
@@wilsonsilva5779 Maybe re-clone the drive using Macrium or use the Macrium rescue disk/USB drive and when that boots click the Fix Boot Problems option on the left when on the "Restore" tab. (and then re-clone using macrium if that doesn't help).
Sir what is the ssd type
Any SATA 2.5inch SSD. I likely used a WD branded drive.
Using a plastic spatula should be better to avoid damages ...
The RGM metal one is really good and I don't feel like it will damage plastic laptop cases. I've not managed to damage one so far and it's far more sturdy than a plastic one.
Hi. Can I use notebook with out battery?
I don't know the answer, sorry.
yes, works fine
