Firebird Power Door Locks

After discovering this car came equipped with power door locks the question then was, where was the power door lock switch? The early 2nd gen Camaro and Firebirds used a 3 wire main switch on the center of the dash. Unfortunately the only replacement door lock actuators are for the later year cars which use a 5 wire switch. Follow along as run through how to make your original switch work with the later motors.

Good job! You might try some AIM lubricant with a small needle (hypo) on the old door lock actuators in case you can't find replacements! Great for quieting down noisy motors. This has save my rear a few times.. Dave
