I only started playing about 3 years ago. 1) I found planets crashed into each other a couple times. You were able to physically jump from one to the other and the gravity inverted while doing so; 2) An ocean planet that had no land basically (not like the special glitch you described). I was curious so I flew around that world for at least a couple of hours looking for land. I found a tiny island that was just barely large enough for me to land on & that was it; 3) I came into a system where the space station had a freighter crashed into it's side. The weirdest terrain I've seen was a fungal world that was just mountains and valleys everywhere. It was just crazy. I could park easily up too, but the valleys were so steep that it was just a drop. Content wise: I've seen a giant space skull that gave me a bone for approaching it, and a "gaseous sentience."
It's amazing to see that people are still making NMS content! I was one of the earlier guys, many people probably don't even remember the podcast I used to do, but still seeing people grow from NMS is great to see and your content is brilliant! Keep up the great work! :D
Congrats man! I love the barren moons... That sand world looked phenomenal to me. You certainly have seen some really cool things in NMS... Just over 500hrs in myself and I'm always floored by how much there is still to discover... I can't help always taking pics in this game.
Thanks! And same! I'm always discovering something that just begs to be documented. I also have more screenshots than I know what to do with. lol Thanks for commenting!
Once, I encountered a working space freighter on a planet. I climbed it almost to the dock but the game won't let me go further. I believe I got some gold from its cargo pod too. Kanaju your videos bring out the special parts of NMS, even if some interesting features used to exist at least there is hope it can be implemented again. Congratulations on 1.48k subs!
@@Kanaju not sure if it still works. Encounter a space freighter battle, don't engage the pirates, then explore a planet. It may spawn where an actual crashed freighter would have spawned. You will hear the freighter alarm sound. Perhaps do this if you actually want to explore since it may not work and take up your time.
@@Kanaju since the new update came out, you can now just jump off the walkways and walk on top of your freighter. My freighter is honestly THE largest one I've seen, so walking on it feels like a new planet.
It was my one year anniversary on NMS a few months back in January, and I felt like I'd seen a lot, but this video shows how crazy NMS can be and how much there is to see! I wish I'd known about the game sooner so I could experience some of the craziness for myself.
I do love coming across large, ancient structures like the giant hollow cubes, because my brain automatically makes up a backstory of an ancient megastructure like a space elevator that came tumbling down and littered the entire planet with mega debris.
Same, for me the structures looked like colossal pieces of capital grade ships, and that begged the question, why are they all here? This open up a bigger story and stuff like that is great.
I remember! I didn't have many comments back then and your pfp stood out. Thanks for the continued support! I still can't believe how much this channel has grown since then. And it's thanks to people like you! Thanks again!
I also miss those land snakes. Although a form of them do still exist. I've encountered a couple just this year. They don't stick out of the ground as much as the old ones, but their snakey structure is clearly visible.
I'm 3 weeks playing the game and loving it. I would love to see more mega structures such as you've shown here. Sad to hear I may be too late for that. But in the meantime I'm totally grooving on NMS and it's fans on RUclips. Great finding this channel, you have a great voice for story telling. Happy to L/s.
Subscribed immediately, you keep it interesting without making the content long winded or annoying. I definitely see you being a huge RUclipsr man and I hope you get there
I found what looked like a cloud of white noise today. I flew up to it and it just coalesced into purple and gold halo’s of light that filled my screen. It was so beautiful.
Congrats on your subscribers and Hello Games shout out! I really enjoy your stuff, so hope you keep growing. You're one of my fave NMS youtubers cause you've got your own style and generally not just a talking point guy, you actually go anecdotal and opinionated.
Congratulations for the partnership 🙂 I really like No Man's Sky. I was there when it started. It was more empty than today, but I loved that 'you are alone' felling too. I was on the same planet 1 week long. Every day. I hope that on a nice day I will reach the partnership, but it is a long way 🙂 I do my best! Thank you for your videos 🙂
Kanaju: You didn’t click on this video to hear my backstory, you clicked to hear some crazy stuff. In my opinion, your backstory and journey on RUclips sounds even crazier than the focus of the video. Keep going, keep making amazing videos, and most of all, keep having fun doing it.
Haha thanks! I appreciate that. And that's good advice, to keep having fun doing it. If I'm not enjoying it, why would anyone else, right? Thanks for the support!
the craziest thing I've seen was one of those anomalous planets but everything was in a forced red/black greyscale tint with weird mega fauna and massive arcs rising high near the atmosphere. I wish I could find it again probably the best place I've ever been to
I recently got back into this game after a couple years, and I found; so far, the craziest star system…. One planet was just labeled “Abandoned”. One was locked in its orbit, and the dark side had legit Riddick style monsters that popped up from underground. And one was labeled “Rogue hostile Sentinels” and it was exactly what you think.
I keep hoping they'll make some "highly advanced" ancient civilizations on solar systems with abandoned stations ringing a star to harvest that energy. Gas giants. Quasar, etc that overtook a system, extremely hostile. Black holes with devastated planets circling it. Etc
The weirdest thing I’ve seen is this planet where every plant and rock is a weird orb with a glowing light, and there’s only one animal which was also an orb with a light on it. In the same system there was also a redacted planet and a vermilion globe, probably my most insane find.
congrats! just found ur channel and i love the content. it’d be cool if u did a nms origin story so we could know what drew you in and keeps you coming back!
Remember when red plutonium crystals grew in every cave and every planet had shiny blue pillars of Heridium? Fun times that only the OG NMS players remember.
Wow great job getting to 1,000 subs and love the content your making. My favorite part was the Dune like planets and the sworm like space dog fights, kinda like Ender's Game. Love both those movies too 😆
Good video. Few days back I was hunting for solar ships in galaxy 15 Ogtialabi and I landed on a sand planet, pretty much like the one on your video. To be honest that is being the only time I really felt alone in a planet it was kind of weird but interesting.
@@edgarego5813 Unfortunately no. The feeling of being alone didn't catch well with me so I didn't stay long on that planet. I remember it was a T1 system so I not even went to the SS. I didn't know it was that rare.
Thanks! And I would be surprised to see such an empty desert in the current game. Not that I don't believe you! I just haven't seen a planet with such sparse object density since 2018.
A giant congratulations from me!🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉 I just started my channel around 6 or so months ago. I am sorry that I have never heard about you but I hope to watch more and maybe even interact. NMS has a wonderfully large community and I would love to introduce you to my little portion of it. Great editing and wonderful content!👌👍 I am striving to get so good myself.😅
Weirdest thing I have ever seen was this planet I found while just jumping through systems. When you got to the surface it was basically always night and it was only black and white. There were these weird spherical looking things that were in the ground or floating through the air. There was no life or animals on the planet either. None of the planets in the system seemed to be occupied by any animals not even a single sentinel was ever spotted. The system was completely empty with no economy, conflict, dominant life form, or even a space station. I felt completely alone and was a bit creepy.
My craziest experience in nms is that I was on a desert planet that had a giant fucken sandworm jump over me and my ship. I regret not making a base to go back and find it for the scan
I love to see recent videos celebrating subscriber milestones, then looking at the current subscriber count and seeing that it’s more than doubled in the short time since it was posted. Loving the content, and I’m glad to be able to see such amazing content get the recognition it deserves
It's truly crazy. I'm super grateful to the community. After hitting 1k subscribers I thought it would take months to reach this point, not weeks. So I'll do my best to earn all of the support I've already been given. Thanks for your support as well!
The prettiest and weirdest thing I've seen was on Xbox One. I was on a paradise planet and chilling out on a trade outpost. The NPC ships did this bizarre space ballet for over ten minutes. They'd spin and spin in circles around each other, slowly getting bigger. They stopped once I got close, but let me tell you that was relaxing. I love the variety that this game has. It can be nerve racking or relaxing as all hell
Hmm, I don't have too many crazy finds personally but I think it was expedition 2 when someone clearly jumped from a destroyed freighter on one of the meet-up points so basically the entire planet was rendered as a slope. My homeworld in Eissentam is also a fairly interesting case because it was a ringed planet that spawned within proximity of another planet. Not quite touching, like some crazy finds out there, but it's pretty close to Earth in terms of sky, lighting, and foliage color which makes it pretty nice to live on. Glowing foliage and blood red water aside. Last weird one was a moon I found that had almost constant sand firestorms but frozen nights. I think the most peace I've gotten there was 10 minutes without a storm. Not really sure how but I've had it below freezing while in a flaming sandstorm simultaniously. You can't see anything when it's sanding either unlike some planets, which means you can rarely land without going slow and spamming land button. I suspect it's something wrong with the atmosphere in more ways than one. It's less commonly like that now I think after the cross-platform update
The strangest experience is right when I started playing the game the first time, was on a wacky radioactive planet with Uber tall fauna, very tall mountains that went for days, sandworms (the first time they had them), and my ship being 3 weeks walk away from me! Took me over a week to get to a minor settlement where I could catch a ship and had enough credits to buy the sucker (still have that ship btw lol)
Full water ocean planets or gas giants would be amazing. Not sure how gas planets would make sense gameplay wise, but it would be a cool experience to fly through.
I agree. I think they'd just be fun to fly through. Although, they could introduce some kind of gas scoop that collects gas as you fly through it. If they added winds and storms that affected your ship, flying though them could also be a challenge. I could see it being a cool addition, but it's probably more work than it's worth to most players. Still, I'd love to see it! Thanks for commenting.
The strangest thing I ever experienced in NMS was tall gek. We took a freighter to an abandoned system and out of nowhere, all the gek NPC crew members turned into normal human-sized NPCs but with gek heads. It was really trippy.
I wish stuff like Sand Panets, Ocean planets, Gas and Ice Giants were a thing! But the ones I love the most are sand planets and for some odd reason there's nothing like it in the game anymore. Makes me sad...
I've found systems that defy all logic. So crazy how this game has been out for so long and people are still discovering things. Most of my time now I just warp around and discover systems and planets.
I saw those giant spinning plates around a planet back around Next. I had no clue what to do about it but decided to be adventurous and see if it would damage my ship. It didn't so I continued and landed. The planets surface showed the giant plates rotating around the planet. It was amazing. I have a few screenshots of the phenomenon but I didn't keep track of the planet.
Congratulations, I have no doubt your channel will continue to grow! Your content is always interesting, informative , humorous and well produced. Thank you.
Another great video! The glitch were the station debris would grow and dwarf the station actually still exists on Switch. Ay least was in patch 4.3.8 I didn't see any mention in the patch notes so probably still there. I remember seeing those clips like the one you showed a long time ago. I was very surprised to see it in person on Switch lol
well done on your 1000!! What we need to see from HG now is a PROPER USEABLE COMPASS in degrees not just 'N' and 'S' :))) oooohhhh A SAND PLANET would be well cool!
A proper compass would be great. I appreciate that they added planetary coordinates, but an interface to input them manually in order to place a marker would also be welcome. Thanks for commenting!
This is the kind of stuff I look for too! The procedural generation has always found a way to surprise me. There are countless weird things I've ran into, but one of my favorites was a planet that had a large field next to a huge cave entrance. The field was scattered with cargo drops, damaged machinery, and those navigational data things with the floating red cubes. The whole scene looked like a incomplete campsite because of something going wrong, leaving them to escape into the cave. It looked eerie and awesome. Bonus Discovery: Whenever two or more crashed freighters are in close proximity with each eachother. Sick place for a weird crash site base. 🤘
I remember getting this too when it first came out, and how terrible it seemed. The grind of 'mine some stuff, get better ship'. Got back into it recently and it is SO much better.
I found a strange planet and started to look around for more strange things jaja btw I am a noob in NMS, started to play like 2 weeks ago. Nice video and congrats on your Youtuve endeavor, I hope your channel grow up a lot, new follower here ☝🏻😅

The ability to look up and down while mounting a ladder as well as your climbing speed dependent on how much you look up or down
Planetary skybox had a gradient for a full minute to simulate longer sunsets (now the game goes from day to night within 5 seconds)
Resources physically flying into your multitool when you collect them (current version still kinda has this but it's barely noticeable, it mostly just looks like you turn an item into dust and you magically get resources in your inventory)
I appreciate the AR-focused list! I'll be sure to consider them when narrowing down the selection for the video. Thanks!
@@Kanaju show them to us in a video series!
That's cool! I've always wanted to climb aboard a glitched freighter. And thank you! Means a lot.
What happened there is likely the freighter warped into the system right into the planet's geometry and got stuck there.
It was my one year anniversary on NMS a few months back in January, and I felt like I'd seen a lot, but this video shows how crazy NMS can be and how much there is to see! I wish I'd known about the game sooner so I could experience some of the craziness for myself.
Videos like these feels like a Traveller, gushing about the discoveries they've made. Definitely subscribed
Giant Destroyed Structure is the architectural equivalent of Giant Dead Thing, and hence I think it's a neat set piece!
Congrats on 1k subscribers! Been here since deep space podcast frontiers episode, can’t wait to see where your channel goes!
I remember! I didn't have many comments back then and your pfp stood out. Thanks for the continued support! I still can't believe how much this channel has grown since then. And it's thanks to people like you! Thanks again!
I miss the "crazy terrain" planets. Like the ones that looked like they'd been overrun by a system of enormous roots.
I also miss those land snakes. Although a form of them do still exist. I've encountered a couple just this year. They don't stick out of the ground as much as the old ones, but their snakey structure is clearly visible.
@@Kanaju I can confirm that the snake/root planets still exist! I wish the roots had goodies in them though... 🤔
Love your style, glad I found your channel!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Glad to hear it! And who knows, they're always always adding new things. Good to have you in the community and thanks for the support!
Subscribed immediately, you keep it interesting without making the content long winded or annoying. I definitely see you being a huge RUclipsr man and I hope you get there
Thanks, man! I may not always strike that balance, but I'll certainly try my best! Thanks for the support.
this is the first video i see by you and its really good! I cant wait to get into no mans sky again
Thanks! I appreciate it.
My strangest thing was that I saw two planets clipping nearly into each other which looked like one was crashing into the other
I found what looked like a cloud of white noise today. I flew up to it and it just coalesced into purple and gold halo’s of light that filled my screen. It was so beautiful.
1 month later and almost turned his subscribers 10 fold! Deserve it mate quality of the video is amazing
Thanks! I try!
First video. Liked, subbed. Nice voice and fun content. I just started playing a week ago and I've got 28 hours..lmao. This game is amazing.
Thanks! And that's awesome! There's never been a better time to play. They've been really consistent with content updates this year.
Congrats on your subscribers and Hello Games shout out! I really enjoy your stuff, so hope you keep growing. You're one of my fave NMS youtubers cause you've got your own style and generally not just a talking point guy, you actually go anecdotal and opinionated.
Thanks, I appreciate it! I do try to make the kinds of videos I'd want to watch. I'm glad to hear you enjoy them!
Think you may be my new favorite NMS RUclipsr. Very informative. Very good speaking. Incredibly good content
Thank you! You're too kind. I'll do my best to keep it up!
Congratulations for the partnership 🙂
I really like No Man's Sky. I was there when it started. It was more empty than today, but I loved that 'you are alone' felling too. I was on the same planet 1 week long. Every day.
I hope that on a nice day I will reach the partnership, but it is a long way 🙂
I do my best!
Thank you for your videos 🙂
Thank you! And I'm sure you'll make it!
Wow! That big Sentinel battle was amazing.
Cool vid, man, keep uploading!
Thanks! That's the plan!
I don't get how you don't have 100,000 followers. Your content is amazing
Yep, saw those ones, too
congrats! just found ur channel and i love the content. it’d be cool if u did a nms origin story so we could know what drew you in and keeps you coming back!
Thank you! And that could be fun. Perhaps I'll tie it into the 1K celebration video, something a little more personal. Thanks for the comment!
@@Kanaju I would love this as well! :3
Remember when red plutonium crystals grew in every cave and every planet had shiny blue pillars of Heridium? Fun times that only the OG NMS players remember.
Came across a decommissioned space station right before the outlaw update was very weird and kind of eerie.
Keep going bro this is what no mans sky needs to get big!
Do u saved the coordinates?
@@edgarego5813 Unfortunately no. The feeling of being alone didn't catch well with me so I didn't stay long on that planet. I remember it was a T1 system so I not even went to the SS. I didn't know it was that rare.
@@noche500 that's unfortunate, well I at least tried :P thx for ur time mate, I wish u an happy exploration
Thanks! And I would be surprised to see such an empty desert in the current game. Not that I don't believe you! I just haven't seen a planet with such sparse object density since 2018.
This video got recommended to me. Always nice to see a rising youtuber get some spotlight. Cheers man
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
That's awesome to hear on your 1000 subs and partnership. I'm glad i found your channel. Keep up the Greta work your doing.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
All of your videos have been popping up on my recommended so I subbed :)
Hey, that's awesome! Thanks!
Funny that this game got me back into my geeking days
Just came across this channel yesterday. I'm super surprised to see that you had around 1k 5 months ago. Underrated AF
This is the first of your videos I’ve watched, but it seems like you’re blowing up man. Great content! Earned my subscription for sure
Thank you! You flatter me! I caught part of your stream this morning and subscribed for good measure. ;) I wish you success as well!
That sentinel brawl was intense for that time of development. Thanks for sharing!
My craziest experience in nms is that I was on a desert planet that had a giant fucken sandworm jump over me and my ship. I regret not making a base to go back and find it for the scan
Great channel love your topics and presentation style. Keep it up and congratulations
Thanks and thank you!
Kanaju on the grind 2 thousand incoming!
Again, maybe sooner than expected! Thanks for helping to make it possible!
6,000 Subs in 2 months! Well done!
It's all thanks to folks like you. Thank you!
I found one I LOVE recently. Got giant shrooms and big stone arches. Super dark and borderline scary
Great videos mate, keep it up!
Thanks! I'll try my best!
And congrats! I 1st subscribed when I found your community comparisons video, 1st time I'd heard of you
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Sounds trippy! I used to have a giant Gek crew myself. Not tall Geks, just oversized ones. lol
liked the video hope you keep growing dude. good luck.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
After all these years I think it’s a crime that you don’t have more subs. Keep grinding man.
Congrats on your accomplishment man 👏
Thank you!
We need more "lets ask this guy" clips where its just a tiny lil creature doing something goofy or running away i loved that 😂😂
I just found you. I quite like you and your recanting of the old NMS.
Thanks! I've got years of old stories that I've never shared and finally have a place to. I'm glad you enjoy them!
congratz on the growth you've seen since this video was posted!
I wish stuff like Sand Panets, Ocean planets, Gas and Ice Giants were a thing!
But the ones I love the most are sand planets and for some odd reason there's nothing like it in the game anymore. Makes me sad...
Pretty cool when you find a system with two planets either really close to each other or actually mashed into each other
Never found one, but I have seen videos! Very cool indeed.
I saw a video about it and how rare it is an the next day, I ran into 2 planets mashed together.
That anomalous space station really freaks me out too. Nice vid 👍
You have a great voice for these videos, i can play and listen at the same time and its very clear and i dont have to rewind
I saw this video late but you have seem so genuine and cool, so subbed!
Oh god, I wish for a desert planet like the one you showed... Beautiful
I've found systems that defy all logic. So crazy how this game has been out for so long and people are still discovering things. Most of my time now I just warp around and discover systems and planets.
those starship swarm looks sick!
also, congratz!
Thanks! And yeah it does!
I loved seeing all those ships coordinated in space.
Awesome this takes me back. Cheers
Thanks for watching!
Love your videos!
You're too kind! Thanks for watching!

Congrats on your deserved success!
You're too kind! Thank you for supporting my channel!
Plop a base computer down on interesting planets and name it so you know what it is down the future
Congratulations, I have no doubt your channel will continue to grow! Your content is always interesting, informative , humorous and well produced. Thank you.
Thanks! I really appreciate the kind words.
Keep it up man. This is great content . You got my sub and I hope to see this channel grow.
Kanaju’s pfp looks like the atlas
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
The creator of the atlas has been right in front of us since this channel was made
🤫
7k subs in 3 months just subbed good job
Thanks, I appreciate it!
well done on your 1000!!
Gotta love when the procgen creates something that looks intentional. Little moments like that are what make exploration worth it! Thanks for sharing.
Nice video and congrats on your Youtuve endeavor, I hope your channel grow up a lot, new follower here ☝🏻😅
Thanks and I appreciate the support!
And all of this can be seen in vr. Regardless of glitchyness the fact that THIS is in VR is insane.
It is insane. One of the greatest VR games ever in terms of scope.
